Outstanding book for beginners!

I am going to USVI in a couple of weeks and considering Scuba Diving. I needed an intro book and this one was wonderful. The first 70% was about the equipment, what to look for, what you need and why. Great checklist and lots of meat not fluff. It was like he read my mind because he has an area on renting vs. buying. There is a section on how to be certified and most importantly what to look for in a dive shop. I would have liked to see more on the dangers, what to look for and how to avoid them especially the pressure related ones. Also the careers in scuba diving section seems to be better for an advanced version. All in all a great book for beginners and highly recommended.

My husband is planning to visit some islands this summer to get away from everything and work. i was hoping to learn the art of scuba diving, i think this book has pretty good information for anyone who want to get into scuba diving. This one covers scuba equipment, learning, safety guidelines and even have information how to be a certified scuba diving professional. was a good read will recommend to anyone who want to learn scuba diving

this is the best scuba diving ebook i read so far. this include everything from scuba equipment to becoming a certified scuba diving professional. First i was really not sure by the size of this ebook that what i will be getting, but i am glad i bought it on amazon.

lot's of information about scuba diving in a small punch. i really loved the way author move from basic to professional stuff, as i am a newbie i prefer book that layout some background and basics before moving to big stuff. totally recommended to anyone who want to enjoy real scuba diving

i recently started scuba diving as i am retired now from my original profession as a doctor. I am amazed by the scuba diving experience. i have been with my wife to Thailand, Malaysia and some Caribbean islands and i enjoyed learning scuba diving. this book i picked up on my way to Thailand and this what really interested me to enjoy this sport. a close friend of mine who is a professional scuba diver and working in the Bahamas recommended this to me after hearing my idea of getting into this business. i am a electrical technician by profession but i am always and was fascinated by underwater life and marine mammals. After reading the book i now can officially say that i know the basics and even some professional equipment details now, lets see where i will decide to go this summer and experience scuba diving at its best!
