This is one of the most beautiful non-literal interpretations of the Dao De Jing I have come across . . . written by Haven Travino when he was in the last stage of Lou Gherigs disease, his depth of insight and love come through clearly.

A sweet read infused with compassionate statements. I love how simple and profound it is at the same time. You could read the same few lines over and over again, feeling new depth with each repetition.

This was just what I needed when I woke up too early this morning (after a late night). I've tried to read it before, but it's never worked as well for me. My yoga teacher sometimes reads from it during Savasana, so a lot of it is familiar, and I bought it last summer when something that Jane read strongly resonated with me. I read about half of it in one gulp today, and stopped at the quote below:

One who understands makes no attempt
To solve the puzzle of another,
To stop their world from turning
To keep a soul from learning.
