As Soraya said, this book is about pieces of her existence. Soraya died of breast cancer just months after the book was completed. I remembered when she came where I live promoting Susan Komen foundation. It is a sad story but also give us the opportunity to learn through her experiences. Her campaign was about breast cancer prevention specifically with Latin American women.

Soraya, a Colombian-American singer & songwriter, won a Grammy and used to translate her songs. Had Lebanese heritage by her mother side. Her mother, grandmother and aunt died from breast cancer. Soraya died at age 37 in 2006. Beautiful voice. Love many of her songs but specially Casi. It was a hard story😢but she wanted that persons read her book. The book is more about her experiences with this illness.

¡Que historia tan fuerte y tan conmovedora! Varias veces me hizo llorar 😭 Siento que a través de este libro conecté de una manera especial con Soraya y su historia de vida y lucha. Es un libro muy valioso, mucha más gente debería poder leerlo, ojalá lo volvieran a reeditar porque es muy difícil conseguirlo.
