Shara is- well let's just say touched. Born a Marine brat, Shara is a Navy Veteran with a pathological love for men in uniform, chocolate, and heroes that are maybe a touch psychotic. With over seventy-five books in her backlog, Shara has no intention of slowing down any time soon. She's definitely not safe for work, or the kids, or- you know what? She's just not safe.

Also writes as Allie Blocker.

4.75 stars. This 5 book set is a gem, the stories address racism and the attempts of some to maintain elements of antebellum south, the social issues of passing for white and interracial coupling, romance and sex and an underlying mystery that has a thread of crime that runs through all of the stories. The author created characters that are well developed and likable and appear throughout all the stories lending an air of a TV series. The first story, TIERRY'S ANGLE, is the story of how Tierry Chevalier and Angelique DuBois met and married after years of his loving her from a far and her overcoming the rejection of a stepmother and an unfaithful beau and an attempt on her life. The Second story, REMY GOES TO THERAPY, is the story of how Remy Chevalier, a womanizing playboy with commitment issues and Regina Booker, a psychiatrist, start a romance, get pregnant and marry. The third story, THE TAMIMG OF KATRINA , is the story of how Aubrey Chaveliar the nerdy professor with the seemingly passive personality who is actually a dominate in the sex world how he starts a relationship with katrina Smith, a lawyer who was sexually abused as a child by her stepfather who tries to kidnap her. The fourth story, FOREVER JADE my personal favorite, tells the story of how Rance Chaveliar, who was a sex slave to his grandmother's acquaintances in order to spare his twin brother, Remy, from her, he had mistresses but never a relationship, he went years in love with Jade but avoided approaching her because he wanted to keep her safe. In the end he and jade Jessups, a lawyer unite. The last story, LESSONS FOR SOLANGE, Is the story of how the fathers of the 5 cousins , Gen. Boden and Senator Beaumont Chaveliar enter into to permanent threesome with Solange DuBois, cousin to Angelique.

Uniquely Intriguing!

I liked that all the females and the male Chevaliers got their own story! What I did not like was Angel and her friends being blamed for not seeing Solange's pain and hard life, when Solange chose not to see Angel's pain! They both could have looked beyond the surface, but they did not do that because that is the way the author wrote the story! Then to have Solange take a judgmental tone and say she had been judged by Angel and the friends was just criminal, when criminal is how she behaved! Solange failed to support her friends and Beau & Boden failed to support their sons in their formative years, so them behaving as the aggrieved party at the end is ludicrous and delusional! Yes, they all have a story to tell, but put the blame at the beginning of the story. That is where blame started, all the children are the products of the neglect by the fathers or other negligent adult. Maybe, they will do better with the next generation! Also, Aunt Therese coming at the end and tying even more blame to Angel was another insult to our intelligence and sense of fairness! They are all part of one family now, that should try to love and support one another. But, I am somewhat outraged that this author would try to lay blame on Angel, her friends and the Chevalier sons to make Solange, Beau and Boden look more acceptable or justified! They have no discussion with their kids and then Solange come in with an attitude that she is above being judged as she has had some form of epiphany that makes her impervious to an explanation for her criminal behavior and as such, they should just accept or reject her, as it is what it is! No Way would I allow her this trip into her world of self delusion! Anyway, I give the author a 5 for creating this outrageous finale to the love stories of the Chevaliers of New Orleans!

One of my Favorite Families

I fell in love with this family many years ago. The plot are great and stories well written. You will fall in love with All the alpha male protagonists and the females also. Through out the stories you just want to hug them, other times they make you laugh. I was wondered if DiDi would have his own story and maybe his brothers.

I've read this book before along with the others in this series. I just started reading it again, I love the cover with Theirry Chevalier on the front rather than the new cover.

New Orleans is also a favorite place to visit, so when I'm reading I imagine that there's a family like that of The Chevaliers somewhere in the city, I would love to meet one of the brothers or cousins there. 🤩🥰😊

Interesting

At first the different men and their relationships were just repeats of the same with their grandmother trying to control that's life. The last chapter on Solange was more than expected. A must read if just for the last chapter

Whew finally finished and well..

This was a great series of books with the exception of the last one.....and the last one wasn't terrible just so ......different in subject matter that I am still deciding if I can handle it. I loved all the stories and how they all intertwined so well.out of all the men I love Thierry the most and Rance the least. I can handle alpha males but he is borderline nuts and a little over the top for my taste.what happened with the grandma eventually didn't sit well with me although I understand the circumstances but by the end and the final book the timeline was a little thrown off for me. To sum up,it was well worth reading.
