A vision of Kate’s death causes Patrick to intensify his duties as Guardian. The Demon Lord is especially relentless now that Kate is the only Seer to ever escape his grasp. When Patrick discovers that Kate is the key to defeating their greatest enemy, he must choose between sacrificing the girl he loves or letting the Demon Lord win. You won’t be able to put this final installment in the Seers trilogy down.

I have been waiting for this book for a 3 months and it definitely lived up to my expectations. This book was filled with lots of action, romance and thriller. This is the last book in the series and this series is one of my many favourites.
I have decided that some Indie authors are mean. They make you cry... like a lot... Sheesh. I am usually not a crier while reading, but this is the second author who did this to me. Rude! 😜 Haha, I had to keep reminding myself of what I had read in other reviews to not lose it completely. If life wouldn’t keep me so distracted and busy, I would have finished this book in a day or two. It is a wonderful, exciting and agonizing ending to the Seers trilogy. Despite the seemingly hopeless events, Heather Frost managed to make the ending delightful and humorous despite the tears and sadness that also came with it. It is a series worth reading and deserves every single star.
I thought the second book broke my heart. This one did in so many different ways!
Kate has not been my favorite for the entire series, so I have a bone to pick about her. So many times I was yelling at my phone that she was stupid and why would she do that? Why would she keep the bounty a secret? Oh poor baby doesn't want to relocate? Instead, she just puts herself and everyone around her in danger. Like, FFS! Your guardians need to know how to protect you and keeping vital information hurts their ability to do that. Ashley and Alex didn't die for you, honey. They died BECAUSE of you. And asking Partick to be your boyfriend instead of your guardian was a dirty trick. He should have told you NO!
I had to get that off my chest.
I wasn't sure which way things would go. Or how they would turn out. So many possibilities. And I was honestly left with whiplash by the end. Things were so intense and bleak, and then bam. Back to normal? As if nothing happened? (And saying you're immortal now is a very kind way to say you died!) I couldn't get my brain back on the track fast enough.
But everyone gets a happy ending. And that's the important part.
Oh my gosh! This book! I have loved the entire series but this one is my favorite. With Demon Lord and his dark following close on Kate's heals the entire time. All the dangerous plans to stop him failing over and over, it made me wonder if there was ever going to be a way the Guardians would ever succeed. I love the characters in this book, especially forming a strong attachment to Patrick, Toni, Lee and even Sean! As the story shot me into the very heart of danger I literally couldn't sit still! The author had me on my feet pacing the floor as I chewed my nails in fearful anticipation! As bad things kept piling on top of the seers and guardians I was at my wits end! My heart was beating wildly through time travel, lost lives and the fear of an ending that would rival that of Romeo and Juliet! Will the guardians find a way to save Kate and her family? Or will we be aching at the loss of such a sweet young romance? You're just going to have to get reading and find out for yourself!
This book had multiple errors (like paragraphs at the beginning of chapters that were duplicated) which may just be how my Kindle downloaded the book, however these distracted me from the storyline.
I love reading fantasy books, but this was my first demon/guardian/seer type series. I struggled with some of the storyline throughout the series, but can’t put a finger on why. Maybe it was how quickly Kate fell for Patrick- but then their relationship felt superficial and yet deep at the same time. I also struggled with Patrick’s being the strong protector and yet he had overwhelming anxiety throughout. I felt like it undermined who he was. I liked the second book the most, when Kate took a stronger role in the series.
It was an ok series, but I wouldn’t read it a second time.
INITIAL THOUGHTS I have absolutely L. O. V. E. D. loved this series of books. Seer's was one of the very first books I read and reviewed for my blog. This last book in the trilogy had some expected happenings but lots of twists and turns too. Heather Frost really plays with your emotions as she draws this trilogy to a close. Could there be more? Well we've learnt loads about Seer's now how about a spin off series called Guardian's, I think it would work and could pick up where this book lets off!
MY REVIEW I was lucky enough to receive access to this book from Netgalley. The cover fits in well with the rest of the series. The male on the cover could be Patrick or Sean as they both have those piercing blue eyes, that draw your attention. The font of the authors name and title fit well with this cover and the rest of the series covers too. The covers had seemed to get darker as more books had been released but I think this third one is slightly lighter than the last one and that could be said for the plot. In that things should end up lighter. I'm also fine with the placement and font style of the series name on the cover. I don't like the way the books are all listed on the cover. I do however love the byline on the book which says, "guardians protect, they are not supposed to fall in love" it fits the book and kind of sums it up really well. Would I pick this book up in a book store on the strength of the cover? I reckon I would do yes, though its difficult to say as after reading bk1 & bk2 I couldn't wait for book 3. Then again I was a little sad and didn't read it immediately upon receiving it as I wanted to make the story last longer. I read this book as slowly as I could as I truly wanted to relish it, with it being the conclusion of the series. So at the end of bk#2 Kate grandfather was killed by Sean/Far Darrig. Since then Kate is plagued by horrendous nightmares where she has to decide whether to kill Sean/far Darrig. As Sean is Patricks brother she feels she can't even discuss it with him. There's lots of twists and turns and secrets and perhaps white lies in this book You get your mind set things are going to turn out one way only for things to twist and turn into a different direction again. So as in the other books Kate is in danger . . . and so is everyone she holds near and dear to her heart. The Demon Lord has quite literally put a "price on her head" and is playing the "long game" trying to get his minions to do the dirty work for him. Extra Guardians have been called in as well as some extra Special Seers for a mission the Guardians have come up with to get rid of the Demon Lord once and for all. Kate is supposed to train the other Seers for the mission but things go horribly wrong....Then just when you think there is no hope at all. Sean has an attack of conscience. What will happen? Will Kate live? Will Kate and Patrick have a long future together or is fate set to intervene? People, Guardians and Demons die, who lives and who dies? So there's plenty of Demon fighting, family traditions being played out as well as the continuing relationship between Kate and the smoldering hot Patrick. Though I think both O'Donnell boys/men sound gorgeous! Both Patrick and Sean make it to the "book boyfriend" lists! Then of course there's the cheeky chappy Toni for the list too! I think the book is so well written, the descriptions are vivid and so accurate you feel like you are there in the middle of all the action. I think Kate's bedroom is described so well that scenes taking place there, well you can imagine them as a movie playing in your head. I love Heather's style of writing, the pace of the book is . .well..perfect. I really seriously enjoyed this last book in the trilogy. . . I have absolutely L. O. V. E. D. loved this series of books. Seer's was one of the very first books I read and reviewed for my blog. I want to say a Special thank you to Heather Frost for believing in me as a newbie blogger and allowing me to read and review Seer's. Heather then always went on to make sure I got an e-copy of the other books in Series as soon as they were available. I'm just sad I didn't live near a big enough city for Heather to visit whilst in the UK. I hope she had a great time. So enough of me "gushing" back to the book, this last book in the trilogy had some expected happenings (which I cannot tell you about it'd spoil your own reading of the book) but lots of twists and turns too. Heather Frost really plays with your emotions as she draws this trilogy to a close. I went from sitting on the edge of my seat, to chewing my lip, to holding my breath, to sighing and yes a little crying of tears too in this conclusion to a fantastic series. I even had a little chuckle at one of the new new Demon characters being called Sandra! Could there be more? Well we've learnt loads about Seer's now how about a spin off series called Guardian's, I think it would work and could pick up where this book lets off! So did I enjoy the book? Loved it! Loved it soooo much! Would I recommend the book? I already have to my daughter, I think she is sick of me raving about one of my favourite series coming to an end. Would I read a spin-off series? Oooo, yes please I want to know how things work out for certain characters who have taken on new challenges. The Spin-Off Series could be called "Guardians" and follow some newly recruited guardians as well as our favourite characters form Seers. Would I read other books by Heather Frost? Definitely, please, please keep in touch Heather!
I have loved this series, and this final book in the trilogy took me on another crazy and intense adventure. I loved seeing the growth of characters throughout, and kept wondering how everything was going to work out. Things feel hopeless, dark, and depressing, and yet I couldn’t stop reading. I kept feeling like there had to be more (which there was, a LOT more!) and the ending and epilogue left me so completely satisfied. A great conclusion to this trilogy!
This was a great ending to the trilogy. Just like the previous books, the story sucks you right in and doesn't let up until you turn that final page. I loved that hope was a main theme in this last book--it really tugged on my heartstrings. Readers beware: you WILL need a ton of tissues for the last few chapters.
This book is a clean read, with no foul language and no sex.
What a great conclusion. I'm glad I had it right away because of the cliffhanger in the second one. (I think I forgot to mention that 🤔.) It began a little slow again but about a quarter of the way through I couldn't put it down. I almost wish there was one more so we could see how life is working for them now. 😋 #bookadayaz @cedarfort @heather.frost.author #yafantasy #yafantasybooks
This was a great series! There were a lot of moving parts, some good plot twists and redemption. I was wondering the whole book how the author was going to wrap this story up? I’m pretty happy with how it ended and where all the characters are in this life(and the next ;).
I want to thank Sweetwater Books (a Cedar Fort imprint) and the author, Heather Frost, for sending me a copy of this book to read and give an honest review. Receiving this book for free has in no way influenced my opinion or review.
If you haven't read the first two books in this series, STOP HERE! There will more than likely be spoilers for those books and I would not want to ruin it for you.
Blurb: A vision of Kate’s death causes Patrick to intensify his duties as Guardian. The Demon Lord is especially relentless now that Kate is the only Seer to ever escape his grasp. When Patrick discovers that Kate is the key to defeating their greatest enemy, he must choose between sacrificing the girl he loves or letting the Demon Lord win. First, I have to say that I loved this series as a whole. I loved the concept of the seers and the guardians, of how they come to be and how they work with each other to protect one another. It was nice to watch those relationships unfold during this series. I was itching to get my hands on a copy of this so I could see what happened to all the characters I have really fallen in love with. At the same time, I knew I would be sad to let them go.
As with the other covers, I really like this one. I'm not sure if it represents Sean or Patrick, as it could be either since they look so much alike. But I'm going to with this being Patrick, since I'm pretty sure the second book cover was Sean (since the name of the book was Demons)! The cover is simple, yet draws you right in. The model is intriguing And you should feel the cover. Yup, it's smooth!
Once again we are thrown into the world of Patrick and Kate. But this time, Patrick has a huge secret he's keeping, he's seen Kate's death. It certainly makes him more protective of her for the entire book. He doesn't even want to really let her out of his site, but does entrust her to other guardians and seers who help keep her safe. But it's not enough and soon Kate is facing her enemy once again. But this time it's not only her they want, it's her family, and she will do anything to keep them from harm, even if that means putting herself in harm's way.
One of the things I love about this book is that it's not centered on the romance and everything leading up to it. Sure, we have kissing and cuddling and we see the love and attraction between the characters, but it's not the main focus. The main focus is the evil that lurks around us and how we can defeat that evil, overcome it by any odds necessary.
For me, the first 50-75% of the book was rather slow. I missed hearing Patrick's point of view for sure. I though there would be more of it since he was so involved in the cliffhanger at the end of book #2. And I thought because there was a cliff hanger this book would have started off with more of a bang. I was expecting more action packed scenes, but I felt like we were just following the characters through their every day routines. However, once the action did get started, the book was non-stop and really hard to put down. Frost throws in a lot twists and turns, things you do not expect at all.
Frosts writing is great. For a young author I really love what a grasp she has on the English language. Her descriptions are spot on and you really know her characters and watch them grow and develop in great ways.
All in all I'm very happy with this series as a whole, even tho I didn't enjoy this book quite as much as the first two. It's definitely one I would recommend to my friends. Especially if you like stories about angels and demons and their conflict with each other. Heather has written a unique series that will draw you in and keep you there from beginning to end. I do recommend you read all three books fairly close together to maintain the flow of the story in your mind. I'm looking forward to Heather's future writing for sure!
It is always bittersweet having to say goodbye to a series, to characters you have come to love and care about so it is always with great trepidation that I pick up that last book. Will the characters I love all be okay in the end? Will they get their happily ever after I so desperately want them to have? Will the bad guys be punished? Will I be satisfied with the ending and will it be realistic enough for everyone to enjoy and believe?
Even though I am dying to know how it will all end and come together, you can see why it is so hard to pick up that last book. What if I hate it and it ruins the whole series for me? What if I am left with no answers and feeling sad and dejected? Because, lets face it, all series don't end how we want they to, how we hoped that they would.
So yes, to say I was nervous about starting this one would be an understatement. In fact I have been known to not even read the last book in a series until months after its release simply because I am scared to and because I don't want to say goodbye yet. I am not ready for it all to be over.
I put this one off for as long as I could. I read little bits here and there even though I had to force myself to stop reading it. I wanted it to last forever and yet, I wanted to know the ending as well.
I have been with this series from the very beginning and a fan after the first book, even when few people knew about it, which really is a shame because this is a great series. I love Patrick and Kate, Lee and Toni, Grandma and the twins and I want more people to know and love them as well, because they deserve to have their story known and loved as much as I have.
I have been impressed with Frost's writing from the very beginning. The hidden messages about love and religion that really are so subtle and well done. Never overbearing or preachy, the great story line about demons, seers and guardians, something I am normally not into but have really enjoyed.
Really, I should have known not to be worried. I should have trusted that Frost loves these characters just as much as I do, if not more and she wants what is best for them as well.
I love how strong Kate becomes and how her selfless side comes out as she puts herself in the face of danger to keep those she loves safe.
Patrick too is always great. I love his love for Kate. His tenderness and strength and goodness. Sean, Toni and Lee all have surprises up their sleeve as well and I loved every minute of their struggles and growth as well.
Really, I couldn't have asked for a better conclusion to this series. Frost out did herself and I am so happy with how it all turned out.
I've been waiting, waiting, waiting to read this book. The last book so cruelly left me hanging that it's been a long stretch of longing for this book. Thank goodness that it got here a bit earlier than expected. Happy, happy day.
Guardians is the third and final book in the Seers Trilogy. The first book is Seers, and the second book is Demons. This is probably one of my favorite book series. I am compelled when I read it. Do you know what I mean? I'm invested and I have to keep reading. I love the characters.
Another big selling point for me is that this series is clean. My daughter has read this whole series and LOVES them. We are big fans of Heather Frost.
I was reading and reviewing a few books when I actually got my hands on this book so I had to wait. It was torture. I felt like a kid at Christmas with the countdown. One week until I can read this book. Six days until I can read this book. Five days until I can read this book... (you get the idea) It was so exciting when I finally settled in to read this book.
Like I said before, the last book, Demons, left me in such a desperate place. I was so impatient when I started reading this book~ impatient to get to the point of resolution and knowing. I had to keep telling myself to calm down and enjoy the ride. The first part of the book just dragged for me. Not because it was poor writing or anything but just because I was so impatient to get to the climax and the end. Impatience while reading a book is never good. :)
The ending was emotional and so good. Thank goodness I got the HEA I was longing for. It's always bitter sweet to get to the end of a good book series. I'm sad to say goodbye to this series and these characters but I'm also glad to finally get some resolution and a good dose of the happily ever after that I always crave. This will be a series that I will revisit. (my daughter already has!)
My thanks to author Heather Frost for keeping me on her list. :) And also my thanks to Cedar Fort for allowing me to read and review for them. I am hosting a giveaway for this book if you are interested! 7/5/13-7-19-13 http://gettingyourreadonaimeebrown.bl...
After escaping the Demon Lord, Kate Bennett wants to try and live a normal life. That doesn't seem likely though. The Demon Lord wants Kate. He wants her bad enough to put out a bounty on her head. Kate's not ready to share this news with the world though. Meanwhile, Kate's boyfriend and Guardian Patrick is harboring some secrets of his own. When all these things collide, things seem even more dire than they did. Kate and Patrick will learn that playing with the past and future can have unexpected consequences, and their love will be put to the ultimate test.
I was excited to read this book, especially after the ending of Demons. Things looked pretty dark, and they don't really pick up that much in Guardians. I guess it's hard to be cheery when the Demon Lord is after you. Kate and Patrick do their bests. It's hard to write a review like this without getting into spoiler territory, and I definitely want to avoid that. There were some things that I kind of saw coming (one major point in particular), but there were several things that surprised me quite a bit. Kate managed to be so strong in times that I thought she would have fallen apart. It was nice to see how much she has grown through the series. Patrick had changed some as well, so it was interesting to reflect on this. Lee and Toni are very much the same two loyal sidekicks they have been, but even they manage to switch things up in the end.
The did a great job of keeping the tension going without things getting too intense. The ending was not quite what I expected, but it entertained me for sure. While this book is readable as a stand-alone, it will make much more sense (and probably have more impact) if you've read the first two books. If you haven't read them, why not? Go check them out, then get ready for this one. It will get you excited and scared (but not too much so), and you won't want to put it down until you get to the end.
I have loved the Seers trilogy so far. It has been one surprise after another. The 2nd book in the series left you hanging, screaming, and dying to know what happens in the 3rd book. Guardians takes up right where Demons left off. Kate has the whole Demon world after her per request of The Demon Lord and a hefty ransom. Patrick is trying his best to guard the woman he loves. I loved how the characters are fleshed out even more in this last book. Heather is very good at characterization. She really knows how to write memorable characters. You can't help but be drawn into the lives of the Seers and Guardians that Heather writes.
The action is good again in this novel. The first part of the book moves a little slower as the book goes into what happened previously. Things pick up half way through and doesn't stop. Once Kate starts teaching the other Seers about time travel the story speeds along. Of course I loved this aspect the most about this book. It was also fun to meet all of the new Seers introduced in the third book.
I have to say that I really loved how this series ended. There were SO many surprises! I truly could not have guessed on the outcome. I also loved the epilogue. Some epilogues are better than others, and this one ranks right up there with my favorites. I will miss this series and the characters. I can't wait to see what else Heather Frost writes. She is an amazing writer that knows how to produce a great story. If you haven't read this series yet I highly recommend that you do.
This is the third book in the Seers trilogy. It picks up the story right where Demons left off.
Kate and Patrick are seer and guardian. They are fighting the demons, who want to destroy the guardians so they can basically do what they want without being kept in check. Kate as a seer can see aura's, she can tell when someone is a demon, because their aura is black. Patrick is her guardian. He protects her and kills the demons.
The Demon Lord wants Kate because of special abilities she has. She can travel back in time when she focuses on the memory of another. With her as as tool, he can change history. He puts a bounty on her head making her a target for mercenary demons.
The love between Patrick and Kate is sweet and deep. They have a nice love story going on with all the conflict around them. It's nice to have two people who really love and respect each other as the main characters.
The book is a little slow at the beginning. Heather Frost is laying the foundation for the ending of the book. She sets the scenes so that the book flows well from beginning to ending. While I was able to figure out possible scenarios for the ending, she was able to throw in a few surprises for me.
This is a wonderful conclusion to a well written series of books. It is appropriate for teens. There content is clean. The only caution would be for younger teens due to some violence and kissing.
The Story- In this third book, the Demon Lord is still after Kate, and he has set a 1 million dollar bounty on her head. With the ante upped, Patrick and the rest of the Guardians are doing their best to protect Kate, but bounty hunters keep coming. A desperate plan to kill the Demon Lord in the past is hatched, but Patrick is besides himself with worry. You see, he knows Kate is going to die, he just doesn't know when.
My Thoughts- A great conclusion to a really fun trilogy. This book is filled with a great mystery- How will Kate die? It is a great conundrum. Kate has already appeared from the future and died in Patrick's arms, but in the present, her death hasn't occurred. Patrick is desperate to not tell Kate what happened so that she won't get any ideas about doing it in the future, but things are going out of control, and when people start dying, he spills the secret.
Then we have Kate, who still wants to live a somewhat normal life. Her character is brave and giving. Her main concern is for her twin sisters, and she's willing to give up Patrick to save them. She has a secret too, she knows about the bounty before the Guardians do, and doesn't tell a soul. She just wants to stay home. But, her desire puts people in danger. And voila- the great tie in with the above mystery. The reader knows Kate's decisions are lining her up to fulfill her future, and die.
The ending is perfect, a great wrap up that answers all the readers questions. Teens will love this trilogy. 4 Stars!
At the end of Demons, the second book in this trilogy, Patrick sees the death of Kate. Since then, he has intensified his guard duties and Kate barely has a moment alone. He tries everything to make sure that Kate will not have to travel to the past, ensuring that she will be safe. Patrick soon realizes that he won’t succeed. He knows that Kate will do anything she can to defeat the Demon Lord. But what can Patrick do to keep Kate safe and also defeat the evil Demon Lord?
What can I say about this book except that I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for it! As soon as I finished the final pages of Demons I was on a countdown until I had this Guardians in my hands. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. Frost continued her amazing writing with this book and she immediately sucks you in once again into the lives of Kate, Patrick, Toni, and Lee.
This book is action packed right from the beginning. I tried to read this one slowly and savor it, but I failed. I flew through it! I am sad that this is the last installment in the series, but what a ride it has been. I definitely look forward to any other books that Ms. Frost has planned and I’m sure I will enjoy them just as much as I enjoyed this entire series.

The Seers trilogy is an exciting paranormal YA series that has the added bonus of also being clean!
I read the first two books in the series ten months ago, and really enjoyed them. The second book was especially intense, and had a huge cliff hanger ending. Sadly, I didn't have time to re-read the books, or even brush up on what had happened before reading Guardians. I really, REALLY recommend reading these close enough together that you have the details of book two fresh on your mind. You'll enjoy the book so much more if you do!
The first half of Guardians moved along a bit slowly for me, although that could have had something to do with being a little lost since the details of the rest of the series were hazy. The pace and action got very interesting about half way through, and I was excited to see how everything was going to turn out.
Without spoiling anything, I'll just say that I was really happy with a change of heart that occurred, and the ending for all of the characters was pretty satisfying.
If you like paranormal YA, don't miss the Seers Trilogy.
With the way Demons ended I was curious how this one would go. I thought I knew how everything was going to turn out, but I was wrong - which was nice :) I hate when I can figure everything out early on in the story.
Guardians tugs on the emotions so much and is wonderfully written. I became teary-eyed so many times it was ridiculous - and let me tell you I'm not one to cry easily!
Toni and Lee were even better in this book, if that's possible. I just love these two!
The only reason this book isn't get 5 stars is because the ending just seemed to stray from everything the first two books set up. It felt like the author wanted the ending to be a certain way and with the way the second book ended it wouldn't have been possible. I just didn't like what the surprise was - it was kind of silly to me.
Overall, Guardians is a great conclusion to the Seers trilogy. If you've read the first two you'll definitely want to read this one.
***I received a complimentary copy of this book to review. I was asked to give my honest opinion of the book - which I have done.***
"I stood at my mother's side, listening to her soft laughter."
And this trilogy comes to a close and what an ending!
Kate and Patrick are the love interests and the main characters. Kate is a Seer and Patrick, her Guardian. Kate must defeat the Demon Lord but Patrick has foreseen her death and he doesn't want to sacrifice her. But she knows her responsibilities and is determined to save the world, even if it means dying.
I thought the book was paced well and kept me interested and turning the pages. I wanted to finish and see how love would win in the end.
I will admit here that my favorite book of the series was the first one, SEERS. I picked up this book once before and I put it down without reading more than a couple of chapters. But this time around I finished. There were some quick fixes and I was surprised a couple of times how someone changed their attitude/personality/life.
I wasn't sure how to rate this one. Maybe it's because it's been so long since I read the first two that this one just wasn't as great for me. It really is a good story and I wanted to finish it but I kind of got tired of the "wounded" Patrick. And Kate just seemed kind of stupid to me in this one. She keeps putting herself in danger, not communicating with her Guardians, etc. I also couldn't get over the fact that Kate kept forgetting and touching Demons. I mean in the high school when he said they had her sisters that is one thing but then at the attack in her home she does it twice in a matter of minutes. It's like come on already. Wouldn't you have gone over these situations with Lee or Patrick and discussed what you could do differently next time. You knew it was imminent. I know they were outnumbered but I also didn't like that Alex was killed off so easily. I guess because he was a Marine I expected more from him.
I feel bad even criticizing. I couldn't write a novel like this if I tried. I think as I stated earlier it was partly because it has been so long since I read Demons. I wasn't as invested in it.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
So, my favorite things about the book... I loved the way Patrick was always depicted as so strong, serious, loyal, and dependable. Of course, he is human (so to speak) and has his weaknesses, but that just makes him more endearing. I also LOVED the character of Toni. His sense of humor was just spot on. I also felt like it was important for me as a reader to have the main serious love interest be more serious and the humorous character be a side character. It would be a completely different experience to read the book with Toni as the main hero... fun... but completely different.
I also loved how I wasn't able to really figure out how everything was going to work out. I had my vague suspicions, which turned out to be close, but I still maintained that sense of mystery as I read.
Very well done, and I can see myself picking my copies back up in the future for another good read when it's been a few years and the story isn't so fresh in my mind. I can't wait to rediscover these books again. Bravo, Heather!
This is really hard to write since I am still reeling from reading the book! WOW!!! Just WOW!!! Guardians is the last book in the Seers Trilogy and I cannot say enough about it to really convince you to read it!!! I have loved the characters especially Tony!! LOL, He really is my favorite by not really having a filter and just spewing out whatever it is that he is thinking! I have also love the storyline itself with the “special” seers and their guardians down to the evil Demons! This last book really had my heart breaking and YES, I did cry….A LOT!!! I know, I know, I am such a wuss! But, it was heart breaking! Quite a lot of death in this installment which brings us face to face with Far Darig and The Demon Lord! I had no idea of how Heather was going to end this series until I was almost at the end. Then the light bulb came on and it was like a beacon! *duh!* I loved it!!! Thank you Ms. Frost for bringing us this wonderful story and great well thought out characters!!! I really look forward to what you have in store for us next!!!
My daughter started this book, and she reads as fast as I do, if not faster. Three weeks later, she wasn't even halfway finished, so I handed her another book and tried to read it myself. Three days later, I was still on chapter two.
The beginning was too much like all the other books in the series. I could NOT get into it at all. If the beginning had been the middle, and I was really into the story... maybe. But there are too many other books out there that I want to read to waste anymore time on one that just isn't holding my interest. Maybe I'll get curious in six months or so and pick it up again... but for now... I'm done.
I was really excited to get the final installment of the trilogy! This book seemed to have a lot more happening in it than the previous two. It had more action, suspense, and conflict. I was disappointed in Peter and dead-on with Sean. I liked the way previous characters were brought back in their own way and only Patrick didn't stoop so low at the end. The more I think about it the more I'm ok with it, but it took on a different feel and for that reason alone I won't recommend it to a teenager. I still don't like so many words to describe how much they (kate and patrick) loved each-other. All around it was a fun and unforgettable story.
