I liked this book a lot because what the author wrote was exactly what I needed to hear at just the right time. The most important message for me personally was this quote from the book; "Here's a freeing thought to tell yourself every day: Someone out there is better at what I do than I am. And that's OK, because only I have my unique voice."

It's easy for writers to get discouraged because there are countless numbers of books and articles on the same subjects that we write about; so we wonder if we should even try to get our message out. The answer is YES! There will be a certain number of people who will only be touched by our words and perspectives. We won't be able to reach everyone, but that's okay.

I think Kristen does a great job conveying the idea that what we have to say matters, even if it's not "perfect." The important thing is to get started and then see it through to the finish. It's more than worth the 99 cents for the encouragement!

I love that the books in this series are short, quick reads that stay on topic, provide specific action steps, and provide encouragement! This one tackles common writer problems like wondering if you are worthy of writing a book and fighting perfectionism. Kristen's fun personality and open heart are inspirational, and that combined with her step-by-step instructions help me to believe I really can do more than I thought possible.
