We Only Came To Dream

Rate this book
We Only Came To Dream is a memoir of the late 60s, early 70s counterculture era. It is a true account of the experiences of the author and his friends, who were not at all like the Haight-Ashbury stereotypes. That colorful time produced moments that were sometimes funny, sometimes lyrical, sometimes dangerous, but always in a world set apart. If you have ever longed to be a truly free spirit then take a journey―it’s one you won’t forget.

One of the most profound memoirs I’ve read. As someone who went to Indiana University and lived in the same areas as the author and to hear his story and experiences from such a turbulent time was extremely entertaining. I read this as a part of my Sex, Drugs, and Rock N Roll class and it really made me appreciate Bloomington even more.
