Welcome back to Blaine Technologies! The motto here should be "If you haven't had sex in the elevator, what the hell are you waiting for?" If Blaine Technologies was a real company, I'd submit my application. I mean, hello... Have you looked at the covers of these books? Holy mama! Breaking All the Rules is the story of Nathan and Camille. Poor Nathan has been left with two harsh parents. One that'll only meet him for money and the other whose idea of parenting is opening their wallet. Its no wonder Nathan doesn't want a relationship. Instead, he'd rather keep his heart guarded and pay for sex. Camille, on the other hands, has had her eyes set on Nathan ever since she started interning at Blaine Technologies. She's watched both of her friends find love and want secretly wants what they have. Where Nathan is afraid of losing his heart to love, Camille is afraid that no one will love her because she's different. I have loved all of the characters that work at Blaine Technologies, but I think Nathan and Camille are my favorite. I loved that Camille was in charge of her own sexuality. She wanted Nathan and she was going to have him. Once she lures him in, Nathan immediately puts the control in their relationship into her hands. The scenes of them together are scorching hot and also really sweet, especially Nathan wanting to know her favorite music because that is what couples do. Love him!

I hope that this is not the end of our time at Blaine Technologies. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and falling in love with all of the characters that work until Gabriel Blaine. *giggles* ....under Gabriel Blaine. Whoops, sorry about that. I loved these novellas and I know I'll continue to visit them time and time again.

I received a copy of this book from Avon in exchange for a honest review.

**Warning if you are prone to hot flashes and blushing, avoid reading this book in public!**

If you are a fan of the erotica genre and aren't reading Cynthia Sax you are missing out! Breaking All the Rules is a spin off of her ever popular Seen Trilogy and Flashes of Me, but could be read as a stand alone novella.

Everyone always says opposites attract and boy do they ever. Nathan is the Iceman, he is serious, he makes rules, he needs rules, rules keep his life tidy and in order. We first met Camille as the rule breaking intern in Flashes of Me. This green-haired minx breaks all the rules and pushes Nathan right over the edge.. in a good way! This isn't your typical Cinderella story- Nathan needs Camille just as much as she needs him.

Ms. Sax does a wonderful job of building this story and I was hooked from their first elevator ride together and this story kept me turning the pages. I gave this novella 4.5 Stars and you can be sure anything Cynthia Sax writes will be added to my TBR list!

3 1/2 steamy stars!

The story in a nutshell…

Camille Joplin Trent has wanted Nathan Lawford for far too long. Elevator rides, at Blaine Technologies where she is an intern, are the only times she get to spend with the man of her dreams. But she’s not one to sit idle and continue to do nothing. When she musters enough courage and opportunity to have Nate, she discovered that her feelings or at least desire is not unrequited at all. But Nate is known not just as the CFO but the Iceman and when he decides he wants Camille he goes for it… but prepares a contract for their arrangement. He needs to have rules and strictures and boundaries for everything he does while Camille is as free in her beliefs as her hippie mother raised her to be. And yet the connection between them is undeniable and almost inevitable.

What worked for me?

It took a while before I warmed up to Camille. She’s smart, independent, and she knows what she wants. But somehow in the beginning I had a little difficulty in placing her character. But then I got to know more about her and I begin to understand her and by the time I read how she is as a person especially when she was with Nate, I liked her more and more. She’s fierce in her feelings for Nate, not just in her desire to please him but in her benediction to make him happy, to make his life more than what he thinks he might deserve. I love a woman who fights for her man.

Nate is a bit of an enigma. I can understand how he became how he is as a person especially when it comes to relationships. His parents really did a number on him although not in the ways one might expect. I actually really enjoyed reading about his relationship with his father and mother. I also liked how he slowly was able to get out of his shell or whatever it was that he was in before he met Camille.

It was great to watch them work their relationship out. It was unconventional especially with that contract hanging over them. But I was pretty satisfied with how things worked out in the end.

What didn’t work for me?

It might have been a little too fast for me in terms of Camille’s feelings for Nate developing from one level to the next. I’m really not too fond of insta-love but I can’t really say that that was what this was because I realized that when the novella opens, the readers already know that Camille has wanted Nate for a while now. When I had accepted this set-up, the rest of the story flowed well for me.

My over-all take on it?

A short and sweet romp of a read. Nate and Camille are both quirky characters who I think you might not have met yet and that’s the reason why they will at times surprise you. In all the good ways.

As a fan of the opposites attract theme I found this a delightful read from start to finish and the perfect follow-up to Flashes of Me where we first met these compelling characters, though this can definitely be read on its own. From its likable characters to its steamy and erotically-charged romance that shows surprising depth as their relationship develops and they learn more about each other, I found myself completely immersed in their romantic tug of war.

Camille is an entertaining and unconventional heroine with her tats, piercings, and green hair. She's a wild child from a family of hippies and never met a rule she didn't want to break and isn't afraid to circumvent the law to get what she wants. She's a carefree woman who loves challenges and sees things as a game. Her latest and biggest challenge is the Iceman Nathan whose life revolves around order and rules as these things keep you from being hurt. As a child he learned that lesson harshly and it keeps him closed off. He can't help but be drawn to her against his better judgment as something about her calls to him and makes him want to be a better man. As their relationship that started out as a game deepens they discover that love means accepting and embracing the other for who they are. Their differences make them stronger as individuals and as a couple.

From its likable main couple to their witty banter to the sexual tension of their combustible relationship theirs was an enjoyable and immensely satisfying journey to HEA. Though the storyline was familiar the delightful characters set it apart from the rest and made for an endearing read. This was another great read by Ms. Sax that will have me coming back for more!

This was one hot flirty and fun read. Camile & Nathan are polar opposites yet mesh so perfectly together. He is a workaholic with a hard edges and is emotionally stunted. Camlie calls him her Ice Man and we loved the nickname she gave him it was perfect for him and we giggled and smiled every time she called him that. This couple had explosive chemistry and their love life/affair was non-conventional as Nathan is all about contracts and expectations being outlined and followed Camile is more live-in-the-moment kind of girl.

This is the kind of couple you could never see being together but, we loved them as a couple she was changing and healing Nathan with all her little touches, and she challenged him or you could say nudged him to do things outside his comfort zone and hoping to undo the damage little by little that his cold and calculated parents did to his psyche.

Camile was a character we loved from the moment we met her she had green hair and a goth-like appearance hacker who grew up in a commune to be free to enjoy life's little joys and miracles. She is about grounding and connecting with the earth's vibrations. Money means nothing to this woman. She is generous and giving to others. Nathan grew emotionally so much throughout this story we loved seeing the man blossom before our eyes.

Overall we loved this cute novella it was fun and made us smile & laugh. It was all about chemistry and love and about a woman who set out to melt the heart of her ice man. There we so many touching moments between these characters that we loved and made us smile.

I really enjoyed this! Be aware that it's an over the top office romance, full of elevator sex and NSFW behavior. It's also written in first person present tense. I didn't even notice that until about halfway through because the writing is masterful. So is the heroine. Camille is a green-haired hacker with hippie parents. She embraces technology but still believes in love & freedom. I liked her attitude about getting paid for sex, her impulsiveness, her assertive personality and even her instant devotion to Nate. Sometimes instalove works and sometimes it doesn't. Here it does. It probably helps that we don't get Nate's POV, because he's the sweetest, most accommodating "Iceman" ever. I loved the scenes between Camille and Nate's estranged, uptight parents. Nate's devotion to Camille is only slightly less instant. Two second delay.

A couple of minor quibbles. The "big" fight between the couple over payment seemed forced, and I skimmed the last sex scene. The sex is very well-written and erotic with graphic language (cock, pussy, cum), but also plentiful, and sort of artistic. More fireworks & fantasy than down to earth realism. This felt distancing to me, and I'd already read my fill.

Quality writing, quirky heroine, hot stuff. Erotic done right. I will be looking for more from this author. 4.5

SIGH I was very impatient for this book. All the teasers I read just confirmed that Ice Man Nate needed to lose his composure and Camille aka Goth girl was the only who could do it.

Nate gave in quicker than I expected but as we read along we see it was not quick nor unexpected. Cynthia Sax brilliantly takes anything that could be construed as a quick release and works it into the story so that everything is as it should be. Dont want to give spoilers so no examples.

Nates parents are messed up and it explains so much! I loved the interaction between teh characters, the give and take of control and especially the ease of acceptance on who each of them are. They dont expect each other to be anything other than who they are already.

Wonderful story! I highly recommend this book and I am not just saying that because I am a fan. Its an extremelly well written story.

The book begun as if the main characters already had a relationship and they didn't so that was a little odd to me. Also, I get that the heroine was supposed to be "rebel," but green hair, a couple of piercings, and one tattoo do not a rebel make - no matter how many times it's mentioned in the book. Furthermore, who wears leather suits to a conservative work place? The descriptions of the suits sounded really unattractive. Why doesn't the heroine wear anything under her blazers? How does that work? She mentioned one of the blazers had a built-in bra. Wth??

It's unfortunate that so many romance/erotica writers who craft original storylines that are carried out by unique characters are overlooked in favor of recycled, formulaic, plug-n-play content like Breaking All the Rules. Fictional characters can't escape reality if they're never part of it to begin with. Exhibit A: Camille Joplin Trent. Green hair and tats doesn't make one a badass renegade, and throwing "Joplin" in for a middle name is an insult to an actual badass renegade. On no planet would a woman like Trent desire the likes of "Iceman." Also, why did we need to bring Top Gun into this? "Iceman" conjures Val Kilmer, who has throat cancer and can barely speak. I digress. One rule of fiction is for the author to know his/her characters, and in that context this book title is appropriate.

This gets 4.5 stars from me - who doesn't LOVE good elevator sex, right? Blaine Technologies in real life may have had some interesting resumes presented for any positions they may have, including but certainly not limited to the copy room!! Talk about the quintessential opposites attract girl gets guy story - I can TOTALLY relate to the main character in her secret squirrel style cyber hacking grabbing vengeance by the bank balance for doing her man dirty type mindset. YASSS GURLLLL!! WEAR that black leather and green hair with PRIDE! I'm so glad I read this since it changed my mood from gloomy to fire breathing goddess of goodness with a new hair color added too!

I thought this book was going to be a steamy erotic short story, and it was, but it was so much more too. There was an actual book there, and I enjoyed it from start to finish. I loved the characters, loved how they came together, loved the steamy scenes, of which there are many. Loved how she was always honest with herself about her feelings for him as they changed, loved her quirks and oddities, and absolutely loved how he loved those things about her.
It was great, I wish it was longer.

This was one of my favorite books of this series. Camille and Nathan see in each other what nobody else sees and/or understands, and they learn to protect and fight for each other, which was always cool and sometimes funny. I enjoyed reading about their journey. Even their sex life had depth and was treated purposely within the plot. Sax used the sex scenes to break down emotional barriers, explore emotional needs, and non-verbally communicate growth and acceptance. Ok, maybe this is actually my favorite book in the series.

Why this book?
I signed up to review this book mainly because back when it was offered, I was trying, the operative word being trying to write a 'steamy' story myself. Aside from the scorching cover, I can tell you, this book didn't disappoint, hot it is! I don't really read much of this genre, I think, the only thing I've read in full is Bared To You by Sylvia Day and I can say I like it so bear with me in this review. This won't be steamy, I'm a very cheesy person.

The Plot
It's the typical handsome executive posing as the alpha male love interest and the lovely and pretty girl as the main character. What sets this apart from other New Adult titles though is that Camille, the protagonist is not a Barbie doll. To quote, "He isn't looking at my green hair or my piercings,", yes this girl has piercings and though I barely have any aside from my the ones in my earlobes, oh I love her guts for sporting such hair. I just hope, I'll have that much courage cos I need to dye my hair green sooner or later. Ask me why next time.

Who were the main characters?
The cold and frigid Iceman, the executive Nathan Lawford and the quirky and stubborn green-haired intern Camille Trent.

Favorite character?
I don't know, but I'd love to hear any dialogue from the pinch faced lady working beside Camille. Camille can be annoying sometimes and I'd love for that lady to berate her because from the looks of it, she simply can charm everyone except that lady and the guard, Jerome.

What did you like most about the book?
Curry! Someone so dear to me loves eating curry and reading this makes me remember him. Haha. But seriously, I love the romantic vibe of the story even if it has been laid down from the beginning that this is an erotica.

What did you like least?
The excessive use of the word - also. It made me cringed! "You have something I want also", "That topic will cost me money also.", etc.

What did you think of the writing style?
It could be better but I think it's good enough, it picked up when I was near the middle and it got better since. The beginning kind of startled me though, I have to remind myself, yeah, this is erotica.

If you could change something, what would it be?
The reason why they enter into a one month contract, I find it too... forced.

What did you think of the ending?
Lovely. Or am I just really a romantic?

Favorite Quotes

“He's no longer the unapproachable Iceman, and I'm not the defiant rebel child. We're a couple.”

“I walk away from him, not looking back, knowing if I do I'll run to him, cling to him, forgo the indpendence I've always valued.”

“I hold Nate's hand as we walk down the hallway. My coworkers stare at us, the whispers swelling in waves of sound, gossip spreading. I don't care.”

“Money has no bearing on emotions.”

“'I loved it.' I love him.”

“Yes, he has definitely claimed me. Office gossip is faster than the internet.”

“Nate loves me. My chest bubbles with happiness.”

“He believes in me, he accepts me, he doesn't want to change me, and I love him with all of the passion in my wild heart.”

There is a playfulness in the titles that I have read from Cynthia Sax, and this one just may have the most uniquely inappropriate characters for a romantic entanglement at first glance than any others.

Camille of the tattoos, multiple piercings and green hair has a deep and unquenchable thirst for Nathan, CFO and ultimate buttoned up waspy executive. An intern at Blaine Technologies, we met her in Kat’s story, Flashes of Me. Camille is steadfastly holding to her early upbringing, her parents are both staunchly unconventional conventional hippies, and her early refusal to follow the crowd, or in fact the other hippie’s children is part of her integral makeup. On the other hand, Nathan is reserved and conventional, unwilling to loosen his grip on his tightly boxed emotions, emotions are messy, and Nathan is obsessively neat and tidy.

Camille has set her sights on Nathan, and researched him thoroughly, using her skills to hack into his information. She uses this information to taunt, tease and ultimately break down Nathan’s quiet reserve for a fling. Nathan, however, is not the “fling’ type, and insists on a contract to specify and detail their arrangement, in the hopes that he can keep emotions out of the mix.

In the space of only a few days, Camille has insulted, enchanted and destroyed Nathan’s carefully constructed reserve: giving herself freely and openly and demanding he share with her. And Nathan slowly allows her into his life, craving the emotions and fierceness that she displays: her life is a daily delight for the senses, and he wants that too.

And they are steamy: his desire for her is something he can’t even explain to himself, the emotions are new and confusing, but Camille pushes and prods and picks at his reserve until he has no option but to relent and revel in her control. More than anything, Camille shows Nathan that love and security are really grounded in yourself and the people that you share yourself with, and that money, control and the power that both bring are only accessories.

Camille isn’t without her own issues, some self-created: she is unwilling to see that some change is necessary to be in a relationship, although the ‘change’ that she fights is nothing that Nathan would ever ask of her, even as he is going through major growing pains to be the man he believes that she wants and deserves. These two love and fight with equal passion and determination: each wanting to be THE one for the other, both afraid that they fall short. Full of fun, passion and characters with trust issues, hangups and concerns, this story manages to keep you smiling and wondering from start to finish.

I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via Edelweiss for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

*Received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Camille Trent grew up on a hippie commune. She's the green-haired freak intern. This rebel child has multiple piercings and never follows the rules.

"I break rules. I push people. I don't fit in anywhere."

She has been attracted to Nate for long, he sure drives her wild. So, when he gives her the opportunity to sign a contract that states how much he'd pay her for their encounters and what she can expect from him, she doesn't even take the time to read it. She signs it not knowing what she's going to get into.

In other words, Camille decides to take the risk of having her heart shattered into pieces in a month by the man of her dreams. A man destined to emotionally destroy her. She knows pain is sure to come, but cautious has never been a strength of hers.

"You calm my crazy ass down." - Camille

"With Nate I'm not a freak, a target of scorn. I'm a rockstar, a woman to be envied."

Nathan Lawford is a stubborn man who likes to be in control of everything he does. Raised by unloving parents, he doesn't know what love is nor does he believe it exists. Used to use money to mask emotions, he pays for one hour of his mom's time once a month.

This ruler setter executive wants Camille and he wants her under his terms and conditions. But guys, he's a total sweetheart under his icy exterior! I fell in love with him from the start.

"My entire life sucked. And I didn't realize it until I met you"

And so it beings, the ups and downs of falling in love and a wonderful romance between a woman that is not who anyone expects and a man that doesn't believe he is worthy of love.

"If you try to change me you'll be unsuccessful," I warn. Nate chuckles "If I tried to change you I'd be a fool"

"You're perfect." - Nate
"I'm only perfect when I'm with you." - Camille

No more, I can't tell anymore! Can't give anything else away. You have to just buy this book and read it! I just hope it all continues with a next book! Cynthia Sax sure did a great job!

Originally appearing in The Brunette Librarian's Blog

Camille is almost the anti-corporate executive. With bright green hair, a devil may care attitude, a hacker/hippie mentality, and multiple piercings, Camille is used to being the outsider. Yet every time she sees Nate Lawford, she can’t help but think there may be something more in his eyes than contempt. Meeting everyday in the elevator, they seem to stalk one another, as a lion would a gazelle.

Nate proposes a unique idea to Camille after a steamy encounter...be completely his for a month. Camille is at first intrigued by the idea but once within Nate’s home and in his possession, they find out just how well they fit with one another. Nate’s entire life has been measured and metered, devoid of emotion and parental love. With Camille, he is encouraged to be emotional and isn’t bothered at all by her unconventional choices in both wardrobe and hair color.

I loved this story so stinkin’ much. Oye. I knew I was going to love Camille when she first appeared in Flashes of Me. She’s such a flower child rebel, she’s so adorable and fun loving. Nate, I honestly didn’t like. He seemed so cold and just unapproachable. However, he is totally redeemed when you meet his wildly crazy parents and see how he treats Camille when he’s finally allowed to just be himself.

Wonderfully sexy and witty, Breaking All the Rules, is a sweet, sensual story that finally tells the story of our favorite green haired hacker Camille and the cold but perhaps misunderstood Nate. Camille has to fight her inhibitions and self consciousness while Nate is forced out of his unemotional shell. I thoroughly enjoyed both the eroticism of the story while also telling a highly involved character driven story. Easily read as a stand alone book, if you haven’t read sort of the precurser, check out Flashes of Me also!

I have a penchant for steamy romantic stories. I do. Not ashamed of that. So when I came across the opportunity to read and review this novella, I didn't hesitate a bit. And I was rewarded with an experience even better than I expected.

TOP REASONS TO READ

1 Sassy, quirky, rebel female character
2 exquisitely erotic narrative
3 handsome, tortured, sweet hunk of a male character
4 you'll just love every single word (and squirm a lot)

Nathan and Camille are complete opposites: he, the Iceman, all for control and no emotional attachments. Too dangerous for him. There's a reason for that self-imposed shield and she's going to find out why.
She's a hacker, a born-and-bred hippie. She's never conformed to rules nor lack of love. The sexy, aloof executive is going to prove difficult to crack, but she's in for the challenge. In the process is all the fun!
I was beyond tempted by this novella. The intimate encounters are openly brazen, but there's a touching love story in here too. Even though the descriptions are graphic, they are also unbelievably tender due to the fact that a relationship is developing between two people who really need each other.
I was drawn to the author's writing style. Her voice is provocative and sensorial just like Camille. What a lovely character! I've absolutely fallen in love with her non-conformist, free-spirited personality. She's smart, challenging, compassionate and so likeable! And Nate, oh, the Iceman. He's the puzzle every woman wants to solve.
I loved it when Nate didn't know how to cope with Camille's unpredictable attitude. It was very exciting to watch their relationship bloom from unresolved fears to a perfect, thrilling fit.
This is one of those books of which I'd be happy to have a print copy, so that I could touch it, feel it and just open on a random page and be joyful all over again.

So we meet up again with Camille, the ever changing character who was with us through The Seen Trilogy and Flashes of Me and now it is finally her turn. We find out that Camille has a standing appointment/elevator ride with Nathan Lawford at 8 am every morning where you can cut the sexual tension with a butter knife. On this particular morning Camille has enough and spells it out for the ice cold CFO, and he rebukes her, like he does every morning. Undeterred Camille going on about her day working for Ms. Lee. Low and behold the great Ice Man melts and show his true feeling and confusion of the situation and his feeling towards Camille.

To start with I am heartbroken that this series has to come to an end. Ms. Sax has had me addicted to the people of Blaine Industries from the beginning and I am not sure if I can quite get my head around letting them go. Cynthia Sax has truly score with this book and I can honestly say that Camille is my favorite heroine. She is spunky and challenging and doesn't bow to no one and I absolutely love that.

Nathan is the Ice Man CFO who has never been shown love, not even by the two people who should have loved him from the moment he was born. Instead he was seen as a commodity whom needed to be audited from the day he was born. I LOVE the fact that Nathan is the venerable character and isn't the savior but the one that need saving.

This is THE perfect love story for the modern age and one that EVERY WOMEN should read!!!

A simply perfect, spellbinding and beautiful book which earns a 10 out of 10 from me...along with a few tears.

This was the first book I've read by Cynthia Sax, and I really enjoyed it. So much so, that I've already purchased others to start reading once I'm done with this review.

I loved Nathan. Such a broken man. He has terrible parents who didn't show him love and used money as a weapon. Then the green haired Camille sets her sights on him and everything changes. Camille is tattooed, pierced, green haired, and comes from a hippie community. She's the complete opposite of what Nathan has been around all his life. He's been attracted to her for while, but he obviously didn't know how to approach her. No need. Camille's done her research and knows that Nathan doesn't do relationship and only sees high priced companions to make sure he stays emotionally unattached. She begins a slow torture with Nathan and flirts to cause him to give in to her. Camille wants Nathan, but she also wants to fix him and show him tenderness, so she agrees to his terms and signs a month contract to spend time with him. Nathan insists he pay for her services, although Camille could care less about the money.

The sex between them is great and Nathan finds himself thinking of her non-stop. Camille knows she loves him after a very short time and is scared she will have her heart broken after the month. But just maybe she can make him fall in love with her. Read to see what happens, and whether Camille is successful in breaking all the rules and getting Nathan to realize he's in love with her too.

Loved this sweet book.

4.5 Stars for me

Where has this author been and why haven't I heard of her until now? This is the first book that I have read by this author and I didn't feel lost by not reading any of the other books by her. This is a stand alone book.

The author pulled me into the story right away and I just gobbled it up. I literally stayed up to finish it and I just wanted to read more by this author so I purchased "Flashes of Me" since I got to meet Henley in this book.

This book is hot! It has a little bit of a different twist in it than most books. It made me like it that much more because of it. (You'll need to read the book to find the twist out.)

Okay, I'm going to do this review a little different and try it this way:

Let's see the line up of some of the players:

Camille - she is going to be herself no matter what. She really doesn't have a choice, it's just how she is. No one is going to change her. She's very smart and knows what she wants and she doesn't settle. She's also very humorous and she will cause you to chuckle.

Nathan - Cold as ice - you'll want him as your bbf. When he thaws, he's super hot! He's set in his ways and Camille helps break him out of those ways.

Mom- what a gold digging hateful woman. That being said I could have seen more interaction between them lol She is something else though.

Dad- Really? A man with too much money who thinks everyone has a price. He can be blunt, too blunt sometimes.

I think both of them love their son, they just need to be guided on how to show it.

Camille has always wanted to thaw the Iceman Nathan. She is willing to do anything to get him even take money and sign a contract for sex. Nathan is called the Iceman because he never shows any emotion. Camille is different from the women he usually fools with and he doesn't know how to take her. They have thirty days together and while they are very hot Camille also opens up another side to Nathan and shows him how good it could be. Thirty days may not be enough for them.

Camille has no problems breaking the rules and going after what she wants. She may look different but she is very smart and sexy. She only follows rules when it benefits her. Nathan for years learned to close his self off. He never really felt wanted and so he doesn't et anyone close to him. He is very sexy but really hasn't put his wants out there.

I really enjoyed this book as I have enjoyed Camille in other books and couldn't wait for her to get her chance to shine. Shine she did. We see she isn't ashamed of her deal with Nathan and she isn't afraid to do anything with him any where. You also see some of her other passions and what drives her. She is out to help people and tries her best to do so. She isn't afraid to take on anyone either and will let no one talk down t Nathan. Nathan seems like a jerk at times at first bit Camille shows him it's ok to want things and that he s worth having. This is a very hot story with great characters. If you like a spicy book give this one a try.

Nate, aka the Iceman, is the strong, silent type. Camille rocking green hair, tats and being a hacker from the hippy commune doesn't seem to be his type or he to be hers. But you know what they say about opposites attracting. It is an obstacle at first for Camille to break the Iceman. It starts innocent with making sure she doesn't miss their morning elevator share. Camille is a no nonsense rule breaker, while Nate is a rule maker to an extreme. It is endearing to see their relationship develop. I will admit that reading erotica is new to me, and I will admit the sex is HOT, but it isn't the sex that has me faithfully coming back to read Cynthia; she writes these characters that creep into your heart when you aren't looking. I wasn't a Camille fan in Kat's book, and I found myself rooting for her in this one. And I was sure that Nate and his contracts and rules were just going to be to much for me, but I needed to jump into the book and comfort him. Amazing read!!! Not a spoiler, but I needed to share my favorite part: When Henley is walking and talking with Camille and he informs her of the time when he needed to meeting with Nate, and he couldn't because he wasn't willing to miss his elevator. <3 Geez... MELT MY HEART Iceman, will ya??

I absolutely loved this novella. I wish I'd know it was part of a series, or more like a spin-off of The Seen Trilogy He Watches MeHe Touches MeHe Claims Me. There is also another novella, Flashes of Me: An Erotic Novella

What really impressed me was how well Ms. Sax was able to craft such a strong-willed, self-confident female protagonist, and still have powerful male love interest, who though flawed still echoed strength.

I can't wait to get into the rest of these novels...I think the novellas come after the series. They are not linked here on Goodreads, so I'll do a bit more investigations to be sure.

i loved this book the questions that go through a lot of peoples minds like Amy i good enough? Am i loved? and sadly what value do i hold to a person? the are in a nutshell who Nathan Lawford is he is the CFO of Blaine Technologies' aka the iceman he is your everyday person who just wants to be noticed and loved but was raised in a sad environment where the word love is non existent.
Camille Joplin your everyday rebel with hippie tendencies she sees the beauty in all things and she head over heals in love with the iceman himself shes been know to cause trouble and shes a dominatrix in the sack. she hacks into nathans accounts she knows his every move and in a sense cyber stalks him but little dose she know he likes her but doesn't know how to express it other then to pay her as a whore she says ok and he wants her to sign a contract and she really didn't want to sign a contract but eventually she dose and their is the beginning of this story if i say any more i will ruin the book all in all its a great book a must read what will happen will they stay together or is there a time limit to find out i strongly suggest you read this book. 5 huge gold stars.

Holy crap this was good! There is a LOT packed into this tiny little novella. Novellas tend to either leave me wanting more, or feeling cheated somehow (either character development, plot, action or something). Not this one. And, I mean this as a major compliment, this is the closest thing to what was great about Fifty Shades as I've found to date (yes, I'm one of the rare few that actually liked that series, and it was because of the Christian Grey character development). Nate, our male lead, is broken by terrible parenting, but finds a way to cope/deal to move his life forward without exposing himself to further hurt and trauma. Camille, our female lead, is a ball-busting, says-what-she-thinks person raised by free-love hippies. She sees the obvious connection/possibility with Nate and doesn't take no for an answer. Even in writing that description I see that this story could have gone off the rails a million different ways, but, holy crap, it was GOOD! This is my first time reading Cynthia Sax, and by no means will be my last. Seriously good stuff if you like good smut with realistically-damaged souls that are based off of sound character development.
