These are really sweet short novellas. My problem is that they try to tell too much story in too little pages.

The Billionaire Alpha’s Fake Mate is the second book in the ‘Knotty Billionaire’s Club’ series. It stars Trevor, a rich leopard shifter, and Byron, a giraffe shifter. This is told in first person from both Trevor and Byron’s povs.
The blurb is thorough in describing what the plot is about so I won’t go over it again. This is a very fast and easy book to read. It’s a second chance story between Byron and Trevor who met in college and didn’t get along because both are quite snarky and quick in their put-downs towards the other. I wouldn’t say they hated each other so much as Trevor got on Byron’s nerves because Trevor couldn’t hold a normal conversation, he was very immature and arrogant. Also, the title isn’t accurate, because both men recognized they were mates back in school. The title implies Byron is Trevor’s fake mate, when they aren’t fake mates. They really are mates; they just didn’t want to admit it publicly. It’s more like ‘Fake Lover,’ or ‘Fake Boyfriend.’
The author kept the plot moving at a good pace with scenes that flowed well into each other to create a believable short novella.
As I mentioned, both Trevor and Byron are very snarky, always trying to one-up the other in their quips and take-downs. I’ve known people like these two, and I can tell you listening to the constant snarking is stressful, irritating, and those people tend to be immature. That’s why I had some trouble with these characters, because I found their personalities wanting. But the author did create two characters who had distinct personalities, even though they had something similar about them. The author showed that Trevor had matured over the years, wanting to do something good in his life now and to settle down. Both men apologize for their behavior in the past and move on. Byron is an omega who works and can stand up for himself. He doesn’t back down, which was nice to see that he wasn’t a clingy or weak omega which is common in mpreg stories.
If you’re looking for a quick read and a second chance story with snarky characters, this might be for you. The characters and plot fit well together so I give, The Billionaire Alpha’s Fake Mate, 4 Stars.

So this was a fun omegaverse novella story that I'd wanted to read when I saw the release & now did in one-seating 2hrs!
Byron is a omega giraffe who's just found his mom has aggressive cancer. Trevor is an alpha leopard billionaire who was obnoxious & a Playboy, but has been changing. They'd been on the wrong foot in college, snarky. Even meeting eachother after so long - still can't help being mean/jokey. They'd known they were mates, but never done anything about. After all they didn't get along then. Now?
Trevor needed a fake date to charity, Byron needed money. A deal, a night & a fast paced story!
I liked the mom, especially as she's an alpha & B had a omega dad, don't get to see that pairing much in omegaverse parents. We also get to see a baby, cause why not? The visual of a pregnant giraffe cuddling with a leopard is weird but cute hehe.
While some of the snark at start left me feeling with a tight feeling, the later on cuteness was really sweet. Also a couple typos, nothing much.
Enjoyed the story, will read more by this author!

Alpha jaguar shifter, Trevor and omega giraffe shifter, Byron met at college and hated each other despite recognising they were fated mates. Years later Byron’s mum is sick and he craves his mates support. Trevor is craving his mate too, he wants to settle down. When he needs a date got a charity event he reaches out to Byron. Sweet, steamy story with amazing chemistry, true love, romance, a beautiful baby and a wonderful HEA. I struggled a little with the fact they they knew they were fated mates years before but had slept with others, so much that Trevor was deemed an omgeanizer. Just didn’t feel right when they knew who their fated mate was.

Finally Figuring Things Out . . .
Byron is a giraffe shifter and Trevor is a wealthy leopard shifter who knew each other from college days and didn’t get along. Trevor had always made jokes about people, oblivious to whether he hurt or embarrassed them. He was not a very likable person back then. Now he is ready to change his unfortunate behavior, but his credibility is not very good anymore. The director invited him to come to their fundraising gala to help him begin to understand what the charity is all about – and what “charity” itself implies. He was also expected to bring his spouse or partner along. So in order to be taken seriously about this, he agrees to attend. But now he needs a date. His co-workers suggested an escort service, but Trevor was such a playboy that he needed someone stronger who could keep him in line. One of the men suggested an omega who hates Trevor since it seems none of those he has ever dated like him. It may have been meant as a joke, but since he and Byron don’t get along, perhaps he would be a good choice.
With Byron’s mom being diagnosed with a rare liver cancer and Byron not able to afford the expensive treatment, Byron is willing to be Trevor’s date for a price – enough to pay for the flight to the surgeon and the surgery his mom needs. Trevor wanted more than one date at that price, still not knowing why Byron asked for the money. When Byron admitted to being desperate, Trevor asked for more details but he didn’t tell him. They are actually mates, so the times they spent together were going well for them. Will Trevor learn about Byron’s mom? Will he step in and help? And will the two of them give in and accept that they are mates? Is Trevor finally ready to grow up?

The story is captivating AF, with seriousness and fun, sexiness and playfulness. The partial shifting was so much fun to watch. It was lovely to live, even for a while, in a lighthearted fantasy world, where everything was possible, where you could throw with money and make dreams come true. *sigh happily*

This is a short, sweet, charming tale of Byron the giraffe shifter and Trevor, the billionaire leopard shifter, fated mates since college, but hating each other. Years have passed, Trevor is starting to think about settling down and doing good works with his money, and contacts Byron to help him out. Byron agrees, with an ulterior motive, but the two really click when they go out together. When Trevor learns about mom’s cancer, every thing Byron ever wished for has a chance of coming true.
There were a couple of laugh out loud lines toward the end of the book that I won’t share here, but it was worth the whole read for those lines. A fun, quick read with a picture in my head of a very tall shifted giraffe and his much shorter shifted leopard mate cuddling together.
Easily read in an hour or two.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the story about Trevor and Byron and how they went from hating each other to being in love. The two main characters, Trevor who is an alpha leopard shifter and Byron is an omega giraffe shifter who are fated mates, but hate each other. These guys have known each other since college.
Byron has learned that his mother has cancer and it will cost an arm and a leg to pay for her surgery, when Trevor approaches him to help improve his image, Byron sees it as an opportunity to raise the funds to pay for her surgery. What starts as a date ends into a fated mating with a future together, and a happily ever after. I found the story very entertaining and the characters very lovable, I highly recommend if you enjoy reading MM/Mpreg stories, you will enjoy this one.

this is the first book i’ve read by Ava Beringer and i loved it. as someone who’s an avid fanfic reader i’ve read many omega verses story’s i found it super interesting to see a giraffe and a leopard romance. i loved their bickering and how they thought that they hated each other just to find out that they both actually loved each other. Byron mom was such a funny side character to have. i loved how Trevor actually uses his money to help people and doesn’t care about just using it to spoil and help Byron. i can’t wait to read more of Beringers work.

Giraffe shifter Byron's mother discovers she is ill and needs a very expensive surgery. Despite all the ideas they could come up with, none of them would give them the financial resources necessary.
Immediately, Bye starts to think of Trevor, his mate who is now a billionaire. Still he refuses to ask him. A rare opportunity presents itself and both can get what they need. Turns out, all you need are the right circumstances to get the happily ever after they've been pining for.

Pulls at your heart. Trevor is an alpha leopard shifter who is a billionaire and totally self indulgent. He has an epiphany and decides he wants to be a productive charital member of society. The head of the foundation in which he is seeking entry, was sceptacle based on his hedonistic reputation. He comes up with the idea of inviting his mate. Byron is an omega giraff shifter whose Mother is dying from cancer. He is looking for an idea to fund his Mother's surgery. He talks to his mate as a last ditch solution. The story of how they execution the solution is funny, fun sad and a good story of redemption and growth. Nicely done. Great characters. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Now they both nees help from the other and meet again and sparks fly. A 'wham-bam-thank-you-men' turns into a relationship and a babygirl.
What I liked most is that this story was written like the world they live in is a shifter since they sprout things of their animal fairly often. The leopard and giraffe coupling was an interrsting find which I found unexpected.

Trevor and Byron knew they were mates but they had fought and said things that they didn’t know if they could get past. Trevor needed a date for a gala to impress someone so he asked Byron said that he would do it for a lot of money he needed for his mom’s cancer surgery but didn’t tell Trevor why at the time. Trevor realized he was in love with Byron but they had to work through all of the things they had said to each. Good book!.

Very cute and quick Enemies to Lovers romance. It's amazing how Trevor and Byron kept the animosity going for so long knowing they were fated. Byron's sad situation with his alpha mom put a lot of things in perspective and these two stubborn but wonderful people finally got together. A wonderful romance along with an adorable baby. Another billionaire down...who's next!

This was a sweet enemies to lovers but we are fated mates. Trevor is the partying billionaire and Bryon is smart and has avoided his fated mate since college.
Things change for them, Trevor is trying to clean up his act and needs a mate for a dinner so that he can get on the board of a charity. Bryon just found out some devastating news about his mom and that she needs surgery.
Trevor and Bryon come together to help each other out but along the way they find their HEA.

Byron's mother gets cancer and she needs surgery. Byron doesn't know were the money is coming from until Travis needs him to pretend to be his mate for a charity event. Travis agree to the money. They start to realize just how much they don't hate each other. I really enjoyed this book.

This story is full of angst, until it is full of very nice things. The characters are wonderful and fun. There is a serious side story but on the whole I found this a great story to read and it kept me page turning just to see what would happen next. I loved it! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I tend to read a lot of different books and sometimes I just need something not serious quick in between some longer and darker books. I call it My pallet cleansers do you have short quick books has all the things that I love, omegaverse , Billionaire and shifter is perfect. Give it a try it’s a quick read

Sweet Second Chance
This is a good second chance story. It was quick but very entertaining to follow Byron & Trevor as they got their second chance at their HEA as fated mates.

An alpha Leopard and his omega Giraffe
I enjoyed reading about an omega giraffe that was bigger than their alpha. I enjoyed that it broke the stereotype of the alpha being bigger. I thoroughly enjoyed the humor in this book.

In first 2 chapters mc said he can't be with his mate like 5-6 times. But just as many times thinks how his mate has all the money he needs and then some.
And I don't like mc'c nickname Bye. As in goodbye?
