Indispensable for theater majors, especially actors and actresses.

My teacher's teacher was Bobby Lewis, who had studied with Stanislavsky and was a contemporary of Lee Strasberg and Uta Hagen. This book is comprised of lectures by Lewis on the art of acting, and not letting the notion of a 'method' interfere.

Lewis defends and explains why method acting is vital and necessary for any actor with hilarious wit and well formulated research and examples.

Kind of outdated, and lacking in real information. Definitely not my favorite acting book so far.
