Angel In Training Grace Lightbourne is on cloud nine after receiving her halo only to learn she won't be returning to Earth anytime soon because of a Guardian Angel downsizing. She’d hoped that her “apprenticeship” meant she was done with Angel School, but now she’s forced to return to her classes. So, it comes as no surprise when she's called to Archangel Michael's office for speaking her mind. It simply means another detention to be served. Instead, she's blessed with a miracle, an opportunity to take a new Assignment in New York City. With only one Mission behind her, can Grace resist the temptations of The Big Apple?Grounded!, the second book in the lighthearted Angel in Training series, features your favorite characters from Winging It!—Mercy, Faith, Aisha, and, of course, Victor—all supporting Grace as she continues her quest for wings.

My reaction of the first book in this series was, CUTE! Well guess what? Angel in training, Grace Lightbourne is still the cutest angel on the cloud!

Grounded! is the second book in the Angel-In-Training series by Shel Delisle, and I am not disappointed! We follow Grace back to earth on her second mission as a Guardian. This time she is in the Big Apple and there is so much for her to see and learn. When she arrives, she realizes to her delight that the uber hot Guardian, Victor is working close by, so they will get to spend lots of time together. Even though angels are not supposed to have relationships, she has a hard time resisting Victor....I would too :)

Grace is really witty and you find yourself literally having those "Laugh out Loud" moments. I think my absolute favorite part about this book is learning more about the different quadrants of heaven. There are many stories about angels out there now, so my favorite parts are seeing the additions the author puts in to make each different from the other. Shel does a great job of this by describing the Heaven Grace lives in and even the convos Grace has with the big man himself.

Another part I liked was when Grace would stand up for Guardians and explain her problem with the Angel Hierarchy. Guardians are at the bottom of the hierarchy, but Grace feels working with humans is the most meaningful and she lets everyone know it!

This book really is great for your Tween/Young Adult. There are many issues addressed that all teens experience (friendship trouble, crushes, even the dreaded studying) and once again Shel does a great job of putting herself in a young adults situation. The "Voice" of the book is right on the mark!

I loved the first story and was afraid that this one would disappoint. But boy was I wrong! I love her, I love the relationships and how they are building and changing. The main character is funny and witty and it really is a book that kinda just gives you that outlet. It is a super sweet story I loved how the end tied in the last book nicely and I am hoping that there will be another one soon enough because it is just that good! Loved this read so thank you for writing it! Everyone pick this up and the one before it, winging it, if you haven't done so already you'll be so glad you did... I sure know I am!

I won a free copy of this book, and while I was a little lost because I hadn't read the first book, I love it! Grace is adorable and spunky, and I love her way of thinking. I have a feeling Heaven is going to be changed once she gets her wings, for the better that is. I'd love to read the first book to have everything click firmly, but even more I can't wait for the next book!

I got a good reads first readers copy and loved this book. I give it 4.5 stars. I loved seeing old characters again such as Victor, Aisha, Mercy, and Grace. I really enjoyed the portrayal of Heaven in this book as well as the portrayal of God this story picks up right where Winging it left off.
I enjoy following the story of Grace Lightbourne. Grace is a character I can relate to as she struggles with questions about life and God. She also struggles with a forbidden love with Victor. Her friendship with Aisha grows but I find Mercy to be just as annoying as Faith through this book as Mercy struggles to understand Grace. Again Grace is faced with the challenge of wanting her wings in this book. Grace takes a mission in New York and is faced with a much different environment than she was in on her first mission. She is surrounded by familiar faces as well as some new faces on her new mission.
Overall I liked this book and look forward to future books by Shel Delisle, especiallyy the Angel in Training series. Shel Delisle adds a new perspective on Heaven, Angels and God and I recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read.

Aww. Seriously cute series. I really wish there was one more book. I need some closure. I loved victor. He was a great personality. I do wish she would have ended up with Michael even though it's against the angel code. I still think he likes her. It is a little weird that Victor is like hundreds of years old and acting like a teenager. Aisha actually turned out to be really great.

I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I confess that I haven't yet read book one in this series, but I really enjoyed this book and I understood it pretty well without reading book one.

I really like Grace, the main character. She isn't perfect and she has wishes (about angel hierarchy) and desires (many about getting her wings and boys) and is shown to grow over the novel. I also really liked Mercy, and how her friendship with Grace is out of the ordinary, considering their angel professions are at loggerheads.

I did listen to the audiobook and while Stephanie Fritz was a good narrator, the audio quality wasn't the best. There was a persistent level of static throughout and it was quite irritating. If the novel hasn't been as good as it was, I would have stopped listening.

I got the audiobook and if you haven't I would check it out as it has a little musical number in it that really brings the moment in the book alive. This book was wonderful and worth the read. its fun and sweet, heartfelt and doesn't always have the ending we think is right. its a fun read and I for sure in joyed the music.
I was given this free copy, in return for my unbiased review

I always hesitate to read books in a series because I often fall in love with the first book and hold my breath during subsequent ones hoping they're just as good. Well, this one is!! Grace is the ultimate quirky character, and I adored her mishaps and "heavnely" interpretations of "earthly" things in Winging It! I was thrilled to see Grace, in all her ungraceful glory, return in Grounded! And the setting, NYC, is one of my most favorite places in the U.S. so it made the read even more enjoyable.

This is a fast, fun read with a full cast well-developed characters. Shel certainly wove pieces of the first book into this one in the best, and in one instance most unexpected, ways.

I cannot wait to read the next in this series, and I sure hope to see more of the Grace/Mercy relationship develop too. (Hint, hint)

This book was much better than the first. The sub-plots are intriguing. I really like Victor but there's a lot we don't know about him too. He seems sweet, I hope it remains that way. Grace is maturing which made reading Book 1 a little difficult at times. Mercy is a bit pompous, but redeemed herself a little at the end of this book. Aisha is kewl. Cherish ehhh, I'm not sure what's going on there, but she still loves Victor. It doesn't bode well for Grace and Victor. Can't wait for Book 3. Happy reading!

Grace is back on Earth with another person to care for. As normal for Grace things don't exactly go by the book and of course mistakes occur. She is once again amusing, and I just couldn't help but like her. Funny sweet and just a touch of mystery made this book a pleasure to read. I liked it so much I had to go back and but the first book in the series “Winging It”

was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was just as fun to read as the first. I had a hard time putting it down. This is the second book in a series and while it continues the story you don't need to read the first one to understand the second. This book is full of characters that are relatable and you feel like you are there with the characters instead of reading about them. I look forward to the next boon and to other works from this author.

Grace is back on Earth for a new assignment. She has to convince Archangel Michael that she deserves her wings. Of course, she has to deal with lots of human and angelic issues and sometimes the sorts are against her, but she will learn a lot of things and become a better version of herself. Back to more serious books after this lovely break.
