Many have read of the accounts of past revivals, such as Azusa Street, that have helped shape our nation into loving God more fully. This book however, in studying the life and ministry of this unassuming humble woman Maria Woodworth-Etter, will enlarge your understanding as you will learn how, in the mid 1800's, wherever she ministered, God backed up His word powerfully with healing and near death situations taking Divine reversals in the lives of countless individuals.
If your interest is in grasping a better understanding of the ways God can operate through yielded vessels I encourage you to read this over and over as it will build your faith. God called this women to a tremendous work and also allowed her to bear tremendous grief in the loss especially of her children. She chose to forge ahead even through the illness and death of her husband, to complete the work God called her to do. She was faithful, committed, and operating in indomitable trust in the miracle working power of God. You hopefully will grasp the concept that God can still work among us today in displaying His power, and in often using the foolish things to confound the wise. She will tell of her happenings in numerous places and you will read victory letters wrote by those she served. God's ways cannot be put in a box and you will be intrigued by the unconventional methods He used among His people. May this book help you stand in awe of the goodness of God and how He fully equips those to accomplish His purposes throughout the earth.

I think this is an earlier version of diary of signs and wonders but it is still a marvelous recounting of how God performed miracles in Mrs Etter's life.

One of the most remarkable catalogues of miracles and the power of God I have ever read. It reminded me of the many books I have seen and read of John G. Lake. (Incidentally both Lake and Etter lived during the same time period.) The size, scope, and magnitude of the supernatural encounters of God in this book were so detailed and so breathtakingly awe-inspiring that I didn’t want to read more than a few pages at a time for fear of getting desensitized!

I was absolutely blown away by this volume and took many, many notes. Sister Etter shows through her remarkable life what God can do through the life of someone who surrenders their life fully to Him regardless of age, background, gender, and personality type. For anyone anywhere who is interested in authentic Biblical Revival, what God can do through a fully surrendered vessel, and what communities look like before and after God shows up in Power and Glory, this book is definitely for you.

So awesome. Highly recommended!

Another fascinating spiritual true life account of an evangelist from the 1900's. She lived and preached when women had no right to do so. She traveler the U.S. and came to within an hour of where I live and was raised. I wish I had be old enough to sit in on her meetings back then. A great read!
