Three and a half stars. A lot of spelling/wrong word errors. Could have used a proofreader. All and all a good story, but I did have it pegged before the end. My copy was directly from the Author, so the spelling and typing errors may have already been fixed. Al tale about trying to hide or bury secrets from the past. It never works out well. Interesting characters a and an enjoyable read. If you liked Hill Country, I recommend picking up Reckoning. Would have been a solid four stars had the editing been a bit better. Looking forward to more from this author to watch...

Reckoning is very much a character driven story. Erik is haunted by his past. A past he can't escape. A past which invades his dreams and makes him seek solace in the bottle. A past that comes to wreck bloody havoc to those involved.
A dark tale of betrayal and deception. A story that shows in violent detail that there is always a price to pay for our sins. An excellent read.
