A killer who taught her everything she knows… A mission that pits her skills against his… And a new partner that makes her body…Sizzle
When Declan MacKenzie asks Archer Ryan to do a special job for MacKenzie Security, Archer has no choice but to say yes. He owes Declan his life, and Declan more than has his hands full with his own family problems. Little does Archer know he’ll be chasing a would-be recruit all the way to hell and back. Or maybe Alaska just seems like hell.
Audrey Sharpe works for no one but herself. Not even when the most elite security company in the country wants her. She doesn’t have time to worry about MacKenzies. She’s racing against the clock to hunt down the man who taught her everything she knows and to stop him from killing more innocent people. When sexy, but tough as nails, Archer Ryan keeps getting in her way, Audrey has to decide whether he’ll be an asset or a distraction her body and mind can’t afford.
Liliana Hart spent five years teaching music in the public education system. She molded America’s youth, busted kids for smoking pot in the restrooms, and broke up illicit affairs behind the stage on a regular basis. (Liliana’s Addison Holmes Mystery Series, about a small town teacher who gets into a whole lot of trouble, is somewhat autobiographical, but she won’t confess to which parts).
Liliana began reading romance novels with all her new found free time, and when she ran out of things to read, she decided to write her own novels. The result was a 150,000 word thriller—a dazzling adventure—where the heroine was a thirty-year-old virgin assassin (Yes, you read that right). She couldn’t imagine why people weren’t knocking down her door to read it, but she persevered and began writing a second book. She finally got the hang of things, and eventually learned that losing one’s virginity wasn’t all that romantic after all. All of her books involve some kind of suspense (she just can't help herself), laughter, and a lot of steamy sex.
Since the failure of her first attempt, Liliana’s books have won awards such as: The Daphne Du Maurier, The Suzannah, The Linda Howard Award of Excellence, The Maggie, and many others. Her affiliations include Romance Writers of America and Mystery Writers of America.
Liliana loves to cook, and is addicted to reading, Internet Boggle, kickboxing, and Bones. She lives in a big, rambling house in Texas with a couple of cats to keep her company. She loves to get emails from readers.
I love Liliana Hart and The MacKenzie Family series. I wait anxiously for each book to be released and as always this book did not disappoint. The main characters in this book are Archer Ryan (of MacKenzie Security) and Audrey Sharp (a highly trained covert operative for Oblivion a division of the CIA). Archer is charged with the difficult task of tracking down and bringing Audrey in as MacKenzie Security want to hire her. Audrey has been on the run and flying under the radar since she was almost killed by her former partner and lover Jonah Salt 3 years ago and she has no intention of being found. She is out to stop Jonah, a traitor, whatever the cost. She wants revenge and doesn't care who she has to hurt or cross to ensure that she gets Jonah and makes him pay, not only for his betrayal of her, but of his country. There is smoking hot sex, action, suspense and drama. The connection between Archer and Audrey simply put Sizzles. Both Archer and Audrey are scarred, physically and mentally, but somehow despite all this they connect. The connection Archer feels towards Audrey is almost instantaneous as he tries to gain her trust. Archer is determined to break through the barriers Audrey has put up and once he does, she doesn't stand a chance. Also running through Sizzle is the side story of injured Navy Seal, Shane MacKenzie which starts in this book and will continue in future books. I cannot wait to read the next instalment of The MacKenzie Family.
Thoroughly loved reading this book. Some parts felt forced, but they didn't affect how much I enjoyed Archer and Audrey's adventure. Keep writing, Liliana Hart!
Wow with each book it gets better and better.. You want action , adventure and romance in one book .. That is what you will find in the newest release.. I am not giving any spoilers away you must read this ...
This was a fantastic book and I couldn't put it down. It reconnects us with some of the old characters and introduces some new ones. There is so much action going on in this book. You will love it and that's all I will say. You have to read it to see what happens
I enjoy these books.. they are action and steamy. not a dull moment and recommend the entire series. I am torn I wish they were longer but like that they don't drag.
I was hoping for Shane's book. It looks like we won't get it for awhile. The story had promise, but it was over too quickly. All of a sudden they were in love.

This is book five in the MacKenzie Security Novel!
A killer who taught Audrey everything she knows… A mission that puts her deadly skills against his… And with a new panty-dropping partner that makes her body…Sizzle
When Declan MacKenzie asks his agent Archer Ryan to do go on a special job for MacKenzie Security, Archer has no other choice but to say yes. Archer owes Dec his life, and Dec has more than has his hands full with his his family troubles. What little does Archer know that he’ll be chasing a would-be recruit all the way to hell and hopefully back. Maybe Alaska seems like hell and beyond.
Meet the most notorious female agent Audrey Sharpe. Audrey works for no one but herself. Audrey is not even interested when the most elite security company in the country wants her to join them. Audrey doesn’t have time to worry about MacKenzie's Security. Audrey’s racing against the clock to hunt down the man and mentor who taught her everything she knows. Audrey needs to try and stop him from killing a lot more innocent people. When Audrey meets the sexy, tough as nails, Archer Ryan who keeps getting in her way, It forces Audrey to decide whether Archer will be an asset or a distraction her body and mind can’t afford. Will Audrey take the risk
Liliana Hart's books are so amazing, i love it how she writes 5* book
This isn't directly a family story it is more of one of the security agents story connected to the family. Archer is sent to find and help a woman Declan wants on the team, she has been in hiding after being betrayed and left for dead by a former partner agent in the CIA. She is on her own mission to find and get justice for almost losing her life. Fast paced and lots of suspense that has you on the edge of your seat in places, well written and Alaska is described so well I had to snuggle under a blanket as it made me feel cold except when the story itself was hot. We do get bits of Declan and Cypher in places as they help from a distance, a good story but not as good as the family ones as I love the banter and closeness they show each other.
After finishing book four I thought book five would be about Shane. I almost didn't read because I wanted to find out more about his injuries and recovery. Archer and Audrey's love story was far from uneventful. I felt for all Audrey had endured and Archer was just the man to help her heal. Meanwhile Liliana managed to entwine Shane into this book in an artful way without damaging Archer and Audrey's HEA.
A madman made her go for revenge, he is searching for redemption from his past and they give each other a second chance. Full of intrigue, suspense, a few laughs and excitement. Love this series and the narrator is very good.
The MacKenzie family book 14 but also part if the MacKenzie Security series. Fabulously written. My favorite characters of this saga. I absolutely love Archer and Audrey together. They kick ass and love even harder. This book was action filled, dramatic and hella sexy.
Once again another fantastic story. Archer and Audrey has a connection that sizzles. I liked the banter between col and archer toward the end it made me laugh .
So far this was the first of the series that made me laugh the most. And the only one where the guy wasn't an ass to the girl (or visa versa) really enjoyed this one.
As I read more of this series, the more I love it! Archer and Audrey were exciting and fun. I can’t wait to see where Mackenzie Security takes me next.
Eh. This one was better than others. It wasn't as MUCH of the whole instalove thing than the other books in this series seem to be, but it was still pretty bad. I liked Archer, liked the girl. Interesting enough read.
Who doesn't need a hot mystery to warm them up this frigid winter? This it's book #10 in the McKenzie series ... though it could be read stand alone - Aubrey and Archer's story can stand on its own IMHO. As with all of Liliana's books, there is suspense, comedy, death, and love :) This one takes place mostly at the End of the World in Alaska and I could swear the cold wind and snow was slapping my face as I was reading! And now a bit about the story...
Aubrey had been shot and left for dead by her partner and lover when she found out he wasn't just CIA, but also the target they were after. She barely survived, but she did. She's a fighter, Mossad trained, then turned CIA. Once recovered enough to move, she disappears to seek revenge against Jonah, who is assumed dead.
Declan MacKenzie has decided she would make the perfect addition to his team at MacKenzie Securities. So he sends Archer off to bring her in ... even if he had to help her finish her mission first. The sparks and bullets fly when these two are near ... give them a try in this sizzling romantic mystery!!
Favorite passages: - “So noted. I’ll make sure I’m not wearing my MacKenzie Security T-shirt when I kick their asses.” - “Angry means you’re not dead. Maybe you should think about that.” - “You have a mean streak,” he said, putting the Jeep in drive and following the tracks left in the road. “I don’t know why I like that about you.” - “I was in Afghanistan for a while. Sand is overrated if there isn’t a beach there to accompany it. I’ve probably still got sand in places I don’t care to mention.” “Maybe one day you’ll find a pearl in your shorts,” Joe said, grinning a gap-toothed grin. - they’re just scars, Audrey. Nothing more. And if you think for a second that I wouldn’t stand proudly on a beach anywhere with you in a bikini, then you haven’t learned anything about me or the kind of man I am at all these last few days.” - “You just want to be able to get naked again and not freeze your balls off,” she said with a grin. “You can’t fool me.”
This is book fourteen in the MacKenzie Family series!

Liliana Hart's books are so amazing, i love it how she writes 5* books
When you read a book from the MacKenzie family series you get laughter, action, hot sex and romance. I absolutely love this series and each book Liliana Hart delivers to us her readers is always spectacular. You won't be disappointed.
Audrey Sharpe is on a mission of revenge against the man who taught her everything and left her for dead. Wont allow no one to get in her way not even Archer Ryan who MacKenzie security sent to help her and then recruit her. He makes her body sizzle but she can't let him be a distraction on her mission.
Archer Ryan was vacationing with his daughter when Declan called him back for his mission to recruit Audrey. At first he was cursing it and then when he met her, he enjoyed himself.
Audrey and Archer worked together to bring down killer. They fit and work perfect together. Now they have to make it out alive together to enjoy a possible future.
Sizzle was hot. I enjoyed reading it from beginning to end, as always Liliana Hart keeps you captivated. I am looking forward to next books coming out this year but I really can't wait for Scorch, Shane's book.
As always this is just to let you know before reading my review that I write my reviews as I am reading so I don’t forget anything I wanted to say. So please keep that in mind when you reading this and if it seems like I am making any guesses as to what MIGHT happen this is why.
How is it that a ex Mossad and Kidon agent didn’t see that coming but I as a reader knew it from about the 2nd page of reading as to who Proteus was? Oh and just sayin’ reading about Audrey all I see is Ziva from NCIS. Man I really like the main characters in this book but Dr. Shaw makes me smile when she interacts with Shane, he needs someone to not baby him and she does not.
LMAO...Audrey opens the bathroom door to Archer standing there after obviously hearing her in the shower... "Did you have a good shower?"
WHAT?!?!?! That is a horrible way to end a book!!!! Gah I hate cliffhangers… Other than the enormous cliffhanger ending I really enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and action packed. AND now I am craving (pun totally intended) to read Crave.
I have to admit it's been a while since I read the previous books in this series. I remember really loving them and all the MacKenzies but was disappointed that Shane's book wasn't next so I put this one off. There were some updates on Shane but it was more like teaser chapters to set up his book and honestly it kind of took away from this one for me, especially since Shane's book still isn't up next.
I liked this one and loved Archer (even though I didn't remember who he was) and I liked Audrey but I didn't really connect with her for some reason. I felt for her and what she had been through but she was right in that she came across as rather cold to me. Even when she mentioned how she was before all that happened to her, she came across as being cold. I don't know there was just something that didn't quite click with her for me.
The story was good and really fast paced. But it didn't have the same umph that I remembered with the other books. Overall it was a good read and I liked these two together by the end.
