Wow! It reads like she wanted to end the story there - Lover's Bliss/a new beginning/a fitting end - had she ended the books there it would have been great! Glad though that the story with Gail and Lonny continues (with Gunnar, Plumber/Plumb Smart, Burt & Pistol). The only sad part was Blue's passing, but she did get a new dog, so all was well in her world

Another good mystery in this series. I enjoy the author's authentic portrayals of a veterinary practice, ranch life, and the California roping scene. Her mysteries are well written, suspenseful without being scary, and substantive enough to keep me turning pages. Crum's books are wonderful for horse people with accurately depicted horses, dogs, and cats,

Another good Gail McCarthy read, this time with a twist of personal drama that added depth to the Gail character. Enjoyed the fast pace and accurate horse and dog portrayals as usual and look forward to continuing the series!

Trying another in her series. Eh. She writes a good story, but her pacing seems a little slow to me.
