On a devastated Earth where water is scarce and food even scarcer, the only choice for some is to leave the safety of The Cube and search through the old ruins. But leaving The Cube in the dead of winter also carries the risk of being taken by the mysterious visitors. No one knows who these strange males are, only that they come from nearby worlds and simply take any man who crosses their path. Jaeger knows the risks of venturing outside, but when his turn comes he has no choice, and when the visitors find him he can’t fight them off. Taken aboard their craft, Jaeger is not sure what to expect, so when he is told that he now belongs to the two men who have captured him he vows to resist. But, these males are like nothing Jaeger has ever known, and before long he finds himself falling under their spell. Can Jaeger come to accept the men who insist he is their given mate? And if he does, will he be able to save more than just himself, will he be able to save his people too? This 19,447 word story contains M/M, M/M/M. M/M/M/F/F/F, and Alien Abduction scenes. It is intended for a mature audience.

cute, little read but not for most people. I think it lacked a lot of material that could have made it great but the story is just cutsie with a mostly PWP story line.
Jaeger lives on an Earth that has been devastated and where both water and food are scarce. The only choice is to leave the safety of The Cube to scavenge through the old ruins. Leaving The Cube has risks that even with the dangers of the dead of winter they aren’t as dangerous as the risk of being taken by the mysterious visitors. Nothing is known about the strange males that come from other worlds. They also seem to take any man that they cross paths with.
Though Jaeger knows the risks of venturing outside he has no choice when it is his turn to go out. When a couple of the visitors find him he has no desire to fight even when they take him up to their space craft. Not knowing what to expect he is determined to resist the aliens but when they inform him that he now belongs to them he is thrown into confusion.
What Jaeger never expected was to start falling under their spell. They are nothing like anything Jaeger has ever known. The males tell Jaeger that he is their mate but Jaeger isn’t sure he can just accept that. If he does can he save himself and will he be able to save his people too?
This is a different story line that is very intriguing. The characters are interesting and the world building fascinating and will have readers wishing the story was longer. It will also have readers wanting to read the next story in the series. This is short novella that proves to be a quick read but is very much worth the time taken to read it. If the rest of the series is like this one it is sure to prove to be an enjoyable series to read.
Pretty cute alien abduction story with a few unusual aspects. Jaeger is the human target of the abduction, but his mates, Lanth and Van from Valdor, are by no means brutal, nor do they force him to do anything he doesn't want to do. Jaeger goes from very shocked, to a little resistant, to very accepting, then moves right into insisting the aliens help him achieve the mission he was sent out to complete on a devastated Earth. There are some weird mating rituals involved (with females on Valdor), as well as lots of hot bonding activity between the three men, but nothing dangerous or threatening happens.
If you like your alien abductors to be nice guys, if an adventure in space without too many complications sounds okay, and if you;re looking for an entertaining read with lots of hot man-on-alien activity, then you will probably like this short novella.
I'm not going to mince words, I didn't like this. I don't feel super bad saying that since this book came out 10 years ago and no one is checking this review. And while I hate reviews that summarize what the blurb tells us I'm going to have to summarize what is essentially the B plot because it's not at all mentioned in the blurb. It is however, the primary reason why I didn't like this. Once again, this book came out 10 years ago, I don't feel like I'm spoiling anything.
This isn't mindless alien smut, which was what I was expecting, kind of wanted, and definitely would have preferred. See, Lanth (is that a good name?) and Van belong to a race of aliens where the women are only attracted to women and men are only attracted to men. They live separately on different planets however, for procreation purposes, mate men return to the home planet once a year to get chosen women pregnant. But since no one is attracted to each other, the mated men have sex with their mates and once they're about to climax, they do so inside the woman. They do this until they either get a woman pregnant or can no longer produce. There's no option to not do this because the mated men feel a compulsion to be a part of the mating ritual and if they don't it's extremely painful. And if you felt uncomfortable reading this imagine how I felt explain it and reading it in detail.
Now, the question is does this make sense? In many ways, yes. Is it sexy and enjoyable to read? Maybe for some but not this hoe. See, most books that followed this sort of format either explain everything away by saying everyone's queer and once a human is with aliens they're able to produce children or there's surrogacy or children are just never mentioned. I prefer that route because having everything explained in detail and happen on page felt like an out of body experience courtesy of a bad fever dream. It was weird and I didn't like it, mostly because I wasn't told that's what this was about. But also because it completely undermines them meeting Jaeger. Jaeger's discomfort with this is briefly mentioned before being dismissed but it does feel like they only wanted to find him so they could meet him and then impregnate women. Because that's what they do as soon as they find him. There's no time gap or pause whatsoever. Have there been one and our characters be given time to properly bond and develop a relationship of some sort, maybe this would have worked better. At the very least, I would have had a reason to feel a little invested.
Plot aside, the overall book is okay. The writing was okay but it felt stiff and cold at times, especially the dialogue. Personally, I think more time should have been spent developing Lanth and Van as opposed to focusing on this weird mating ritual but two kinds of people I guess. There is an interesting idea here that I would have liked to see play out more, specifically with Earth and the other humans. I think it's explored in the other books that I most certainly will not be reading. Even if this meeting ritual isn't in the other books the illusion has been shattered, there's no going back. But if this does sound like your cup of tea, you're in luck because there's like five or six other books.
Now normally when a book is mostly okay but not for me I gave it three stars but I'm going to have to give this book two stars because the blurb did not at all properly describe what this book was about. Would it really have been so hard to say "but Lanth and Van must have a mission of their own and must return to their home world. They need Jaeger in order to complete it". That would have kept things vague but still clued people into the B plot. I think it's unfair and a little irresponsible on the author's part to not let people know what they're about to read. I know a lot of people like going into books blind but blurbs are there for a reason. I like to know what I'm about to get myself into. They allow the reader to decide if they want to read a book or not and I feel like that decision wasn't justly offered. So for that reason, this book drops down to two stars for me (which I hate giving). I'm not completely writing this author off but I'm also not gunning to read more by them.
Just rating to help the average a bit. I'm not sure why people disliked it so much. I've definitely read worse books with higher ratings.
It's a novella 'romance' novel, so yea, everything is super fast and instalove and only a couple of pages total, but there is adequate worldbuilding more plot and consistency then a lot of other novellas I've read. it's a short, fun, quick read.
I usually skip over anything lower than a 3.9, but have definitely read some 4.8 star books that were freaking TERRIBLE, and this 3.4 that was actually pretty good. so, I guess I'm telling you and myself equally, give some more books a chance - that or read the review before you make a decision to read or skip something.
This was pretty good, though I would have liked for Jaeger to have been harder to dissuade from his mission than he was. I will definitely be reading further in this series.
Jaeger's number came up and he's determined to do his part to keep the tiny group of humanity in the Cube alive. But so many sent out to scavenge never return. Will he? And if he does, will he be alone?
The book is hot alien erotica with a human. The story starts us off with a human named Jaeger that is let out of the cube to do some scavenging for his people. Aliens find him and the hot m/m/m erotica begins on their ship. Which leads to them taken their mate to a planet to see their females to do a ritual of getting them pregnant once a year. Turns into m/m/m/f/f/f menage group erotica. The story started off slow but speeds ahead when hot moments hit the pages. All happy, nothing bad happens type story. I loved it was different type of erotica for me. First time reading a book from the author. I will look forward to reading more from them since I like reading erotica mixed in with my other books I read.
