This book provides some valid criticisms of popular misinterpretations of James, but still has it's own issues. Overall, this book does a fair enough job of exegeting James from the framework of the UPCI. but his overall theological system is misguided. Back when I had the same denominational affiliation as Segraves, I read everything he wrote I could get my hands on (outside of his Urshan biography). I no longer hold to his denominational distinctives, but I'm thankful for the formation he did provide.
