4.5 SUSPENSEFUL STARS!!!! Edge of your seat thrilling! Erotically intimate! Intensely evil! Well done!

I knew this was going to be a hard one to put down from the very beginning. From the start it’s evil and edgy. Kat Quincy is a hard-working confident woman. But, it’s her relationship with an abusive boyfriend that pulls her down. She just has to get out of this relationship so she can save herself and not become a statistic. She works with this type of behavior every day. She should know better. So, when she finally breaks down and tells her friends, it’s not without embarrassment and guilt that she does so. What she doesn’t realize is that one of her friends, John, has actually loved her for three years, and he now decides to make it his mission to protect her from harm.

John Greyson is ex-military and now owns his own security company with long-time friend, Rylan Slade. John has had romantic feelings for Kat since he first laid eyes on her three years ago. Unfortunately she was, at one time or another, in a relationship with someone else. John is such a sweetheart of a guy. He’s got wavy black hair and striking gray eyes. And, his body, all 6 ft. 3 inches of him, is stunningly impressive with muscles and tattoos. With those heartstopping dimples, he makes women swoon. According to Kat, though, he’s way too busy with various women, so much so, that her and her friend Maddie nickname all his conquests different flavors of the month in a comical manner.

As Kat’s horrific abuse comes to light, their relationship shifts into a more intimate one. Kat had no idea how John felt about her, and was pleasantly surprised. As much as John promises to protect Kat when her abuser is still running loose, she also vows to protect the ones that she loves when her abuser puts others lives in jeopardy. Her abuser, though, is not working alone and as the story moves along, an unsuspected respected colleague is getting angrier and angrier when things don’t go as planned.

The author did a great job sucking the reader into this suspenseful and enthralling book. I just couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to find out what was going to happen in the end. Kat sure did have some horrible shit happen to her. But, she was strong and always the fighter. She also had a fantastic group of friends that had her back every step of the way. And, with a guy like John by her side, she knew she was protected and loved unconditionally. And, who could forget John’s dog, Romeo? He’s such a remarkably safeguarding dog that brought some warm and touching moments to the story. The book was a little long, but the author kept me engaged in Kat and John’s love story totally. I felt that I really could somewhat compare this book to Kristen Ashley’s “Rock Chick” series. Maybe not quite as comical, but the camaraderie amongst friends was obviously apparent. The intimacy between Kat and John was fiery and sensual. And, the climax boasted evil and shock as the intense stand-off was drama at its very best. Impressive debut novel! I won’t hesitate to pick up the next installment in this series, Emerge:)

“Be strong when you are weak
Be brave when you are scared
Be humble when you are victorious
Be badass every day.”
~ Kat (Chap. 13)

“If women didn’t exist,
all the money in the world
would have no meaning.”

Really good book, especially for a first novel. The characters, John and Kat, were endearing, and the dialog was perfect. Author seems prejudiced against apostrophes, so it was irritating to have common spelling errors that should have been caught by an editor (your/you're, Johns/John's, etc.). There was some word redundancy, but the story flowed really well, and contained more depth than I anticipated. I enjoyed the complexity of the plot line I expected to be secondary to the romance- so that was especially nice. Great job. I will be looking for this author's next book!

Kristin Kitchen sucked me into the world of John Greyson a few pages in. He's charming, sexy, and protects whats his, three musts for a hot hero. Throughout Endure, John stays true to who he is. Kristin takes you on a page-turning ride with just enough steam, just enough intrigue, and just enough suspense. I love her writing style and can't wait to read more. Endure is a great read.

This is a debut book from this author and straight away it hooks you in with the first page. Kat works as a 911 dispatcher and Jamie is a Paramedic working at the local hospital, that's how they originally meet. He wore her down with his good looks and compliments. Kat is now in a relationship with Jamie.

The first page begins with Kat pulling herself up off the floor after Jamie has taken his rage out on her. They have been together for 6 months or so and he now regularly hits her. He is careful to avoid leaving any marks on her where someone would see it and she is creative at finding ways to cover it up.

After hiding this secret about her relationship from her best friend Maddie and husband Rylan, she can't hide the latest injuries and finally confesses to them about what has been going on at home with Jamie.

Rylan and his mate John own Greyson-Slade Security and immediately contact the police and put a plan in action to protect Kat and bring Jamie to justice. Jamie does a runner and is determined to get back at Kat for what he feels is her fault.

John has been in love with Kat for years and has been biding his time to make her his.

"Please give me the chance to show you what love really is" - John

He is a big, strong, sexy alpha male and will stop at nothing to protect Kat and keep her safe. She completely falls for him and the safety and protectiveness he has for her.

"Sleep Beautiful, I will hold off the demons" - John

Just to add to the psycho Jamie situation there is also a female stalker who is obsessed with getting rid of Kat from John's life so she can have him all to herself. When her and Jamie join forces it gets pretty nasty for both Kat & John.

There is never a dull moment in this story and I must make mention of one of the stars in the story, Romeo John's dog. He is awesome :)

Really good debut novel from Kristin and I look forward to more in this series.

Kat Quincy has a great group of friends and a job she loves. Unfortunately her choice

in men is not so great.

When her latest man goes to far, she turns to John Greyson, former military man and

co-owner of a security firm.

John Greyson has been in love with Kat Quincy for 3 years. When he finds out she is

in trouble, he jumps at the chance to help her.

When their feelings for each other are finally revealed, sparks fly.

I loved this book. There was lots of action and steamy love scenes. The whole group

of friends is awesome. I could not put this book down.

If you love a hot alpha male who is also sweet and sexy, this is the book for you.

I definitely recommend this book.

Great Read, I loved how tough Kat was in the book. She went through so much and yet her spirit and love for the people around her never wavered. John was sexy, loving, protective and always caring for Kat trying to keep her safe, happy, content and close by. I loved how the author brought John and Kat together right away so as the reader we got a lot of them together. I was always on edge turning the pages, whenever they went anywhere thinking the people out to get her would win out in the end. I laughed, I cried and I loved this book. Romeo was the star of course.... Tough ass protective dog who is so loyal... Best character!!
Can't wait to read Kristie & Ryder's story!!

Kat and John are HOT!!!! This book kept me on edge waiting to see what would happen next. You really never knew what crazy twist was going to happen next. I loved the how strong the friendships between all the characters were. It's amazing to have friends like Kat had. I loved the protectiveness of all the Greyson-Slade men too. They were all family and looked out for each other no matter what. The only thing I think that would have made the book better would be if it had an epilogue wrapping up John and Kat's story a little more. Overall, it was a great book that kept me hooked from the beginning.

Endure, the debut novel by Kristin Kitchen, caught my attention right away and held it for the duration. Fast paced and interesting, the plot has equal parts action and, ahem, ACTION. Fans of steamy romance scenes will not be disappointed, particularly if you have a fascination with tattooed hunks and motorcycles. As an extra bonus, Endure takes you inside an area of law enforcement often neglected by fiction in general. The female main character is a 911 dispatcher and parts of the story touch on her career. I'm looking forward to more books from the Greyson-Slade world!

This book was absolutely amazing! I loved the perspective of the story being told by a dispatcher. The topic was also very close to home. Loved reading about a woman strong in herself and her friendships to be able to overcome such a horrible series of life events. The love story that unfolded was also beautiful. Not to mention the hot, steamy scenes. One of my new favorite authors. Keep the stories coming. :)

Most of the negative content of the reviews I have read about this book focus on the grammar issues. My main beef is with the actual content. Without spoiling the story I have some serious concerns about the main character's mental stability in participating in intimate events so quickly after being physically assaulted and abused. The male lead was a chauvinist.

Being a 911 dispatcher myself I really liked the references to that and the twist at the end was definitely different than I expected. I didn't realize until the end that the author is someone that I was already aware of and is the admin for one of my favorite 911 dispatcher Facebook pages, Diary of a Mad Dispatcher. She did a great job and I will be reading the second book very soon.

Such a good story! I am completely in love with John Greyson! I have read and re-read this book several times just because I love this story and although I am not a 911 dispatcher I am a dispatcher and understand the stress of the job. I love the alpha males, which is good, I guess, since I work with lots of them. Thank you Kristin and keep the stories coming!

Not really my type of book. I was hoping for more about her job as a 911 dispatcher, and a more edge of your seat mystery/drama. Instead, there was way too much sex, to the point I just kept skipping over it and finished the book in record time. The story itself was okay, but I really wouldn't recommend to the book.

5 amazing STARS

I absolutely loved this book. It had me from beginning to end. There were a few spots where is was a little slower but not too slow. Although there were a lot of working parts (characters) I found that the flow was great. Can't wait to read the rest of the series!!!
