The Book is fairly good. Though there are bits and pieces in the books that I quite was unable to resonate.. (like how do you send a meth addict who has been rehabilitated just 2 weeks back to cure or help another meth addict?) or (the Inner peace that the author was looking for- he got that after falling in love with a girl other than who he was truly in love with {very absurd}? So the ultimate message is when you are not at peace, fall in love!!!

Though there are 2 things i liked about the book
1. The poem
You know what is the worst thing in the world?
you are amidst this crowd, a swarm of people,
who think they connect with you,
Everyone of them in their own way.
But in reality, you are being ripped apart,
connecting with each one of them.
it is a constant struggle to connect with someone,
To be heard, to be understood, to be loved, to be accepted,
and it is done with a glimpse of hope,
that someone from these known and unknown faces,
Will hear you out, someone with a warm and genuine smile,
Will touch your heart.
And that's precisely when, perhaps, you would say,
'Yes, that's me.'

2. The thought portrayed in the below line-
"Respect your life. plant faith in your potential.you're not a servant to a chemically altered mind. It is a sign of weakness."

Im usually very very apprehensive about reading modern Indian authors and I have very good reason too. Being an optimist I yet again picked up what I thought would be an interesting read but, with NO surprise, it too turned out to be a crappy attempt at a novel.

The books boasts an interesting title n also a mildly interesting snippet at the back. It talks of a guy who's lost in a quagmire of emotions of guilt, confusion, apathy etc etc after losing what appears to be th love of his life! And ends up at an ashram looking for peace.

The things that does work for this author is that at parts he really does convey a few good thoughts on how one needs to tackle the problems life throws at u but there is hardly anything new there..it's mostly things u find in most of today's self help books or even NLP for that matter. I think that's about it for what's good bout this flimsy novel.

The BIGGEST n the most annoying con of this release is the fact that clearly it did NOT have a good editor or the author itself is bad in the first place. The novel Is painfully filled with such BASIC editorial lapses like huge omissions, pathetic grammar, blatant confusion in character names while describing a scenario, and certain lines which does not make any sense at all. Often or not I felt myself re reading a para n getting more confused, a specific example of this would be the chapter where Vandana shares her sob story n the author confused Vandanas name with Divyas in some key scenes!! The amount of omissions is HORRENDOUS... a few omissions of words I can forgive but when it gets to the point where it disturbs the readers flow, u have a serious problem.

The characters are quiet stupid in some regard and the events in this book are reeelly hard to believe, you have the selfless but lost protagonist (suppose its the author as the protagonists name is samar garg), an supposedly annoying con-artist of an aunty sidekick to accompany the "hero" and lastly u have the 2ND Meth Head love of the hero's life who instantly gets cured of her long term addiction by the simple tool of Visualization done in one day! Together these assorted characters will go through BLATANTLY plagiarized scenarios like cooking meth to raise money for cancer treatment, *cough* Breaking *cough* Bad *cough* RIPOFF!! Unrealistic events like easily stealing pseudo (restricted substance) from a huge chemical plant, transporting 50lakhs hard cash via flight services, learning to cook meth in 3days with a detailed restricted illegal book. Disturbing lines where the protagonist makes love to his meth head gf in the ashram while carelessly sayin that they felt no awkwardness in the swamiji watching!?? (guessing this musb an editorial error but STILL)o_O etc etc.

I could go on n on about the generic crap that's filled in this novel..I honestly do NOT understand why we have such an overwhelming amount of shitty modern Indian writers, maybe it's cos we the readers are ok with the mediocre trash these ppl spew out! Food for thought, cos I only picked this guy's books after reading rave reviews bout the author! Guess I should've guessed as much when I discovered the book is published through his own publishing house!

Closing thoughts: I regret spending 80bucks (as low as that maybe) on a crappy book whose only redeeming n interesting factor, I discover now, is its well done comical cover art. Having said that and done ranting bout this disappointing read I think I have found my inner peace!;oP

The worst crime an author can commit is plagiarism. And Sachin Garg committed it with utter shamelessness. His story turns to meth and a friend suffering from lung cancer. The incident of Red-phosphorus explosion. Point to point stolen from Breaking Bad. I wonder how Sachin manages to keep his inner peace after committing such a crime.

Encounter with Vandana and conversation with Swamiji are the highest point of this book, and after that it's a disaster. No sense of writing, style. No idea about how to mount a situation or build up emotions. Nothing to enjoy and on top of that it's trying to give gyaan. Gyaan coming from an author who commits plagiarism - irony of ironies.

Don't waste your time on this shit. Read the full review...

Looking back I think I picked this book, despite its rather 'boring' content, cause the name really caught my eye.
But when I started reading it, at the turn of every page all said was 'Come On Mr. Garg, I don't have all day!'
Fortunately for me, I mustered up all the courage and put it back on the shelf to be read on a later date when I really don't have ANYTHING to do.

I guess (cause I did not finish it) the book is about some people facing difficulties in life they are not in position to deal with in the start and how some life changing interaction with guru makes all the broken pieces come together.

Not my type....well!!

I actually picked it up with a lot of hope, but the saddest thing is that the book is copy of popular television show, Breaking Bad.

He had surpassed Chetan Bhagat for me in his first two novels...his third one was good too...but somehow I just could not connect with the latest one, for it feels like going back to school after you have finished your masters...

At its best, its another usual Indian author novel, where characters from the older book are picked...a couple of new characters added, some thrill and adventure here n there...love in ample, strange unbelievable things coming true...and finally ending on happy notes (specially since the last one ended on tragic notes)...

All I am glad is, I didn't pre-order this book...I am no longer waiting for the next in series to come...though I know I would pick up the next too, but somehow, the expectations are dipping...but then, if the third one in Clifton series by Archer, couldn't hold me, I maybe was looking forward for too much..

The most badly written, edited, plagiarised & grammatically incorrect book i have ever read by an Indian author or any author by far. There are countless examples of lines thats are grammatically SO incorrect that they make no sense at all. The title & illustration of the book are a complete mislead. I would NOT suggest any of my friends, or anybody in general to read a book by Sachin Garg. He needs to make some SERIOUS improvements in his writing skills. I felt no connection what so ever to any character or the story itself.

I thought the editing was very poor (I could see a lot of typos & sentences that needed a word to complete it). To add to that, the use of typical Indian English did not quite charm me. Other than that, the story line was engrossing enough, which, I think is the only reason I could finish reading it.

Review:

It was worth the wait and excitement which one had to undergo for such a long time.

I ordered the book 3 months back and finally I was ecstatic when I received it at my doorstep.

Sachin Garg has gone one step ahead with the book after writing 3 more novels and this is suppose to give u goosebumps.

The title, the cover and the summary behind gives u an image of a spiritual type of journey but once u start reading, it's far beyond that.

Its been woven very well around three people and their struggle to attain peace in their lives.

If u haven't read the previous novel "Never Let Me Go" kindly read it first before u start with this one because the Samar and Navya are the characters who reprise their roles from that novel.

It runs lengths and breaths to teach u some philosophies of life in a very simple way.

The best part u cant forget the Ashram and Swami ji & his lessons which will make ur heart pound for a very long time.

Of all the romantic stories which I have read in the recent past this is something out of the box.

Emotions run high, peace is at stake and curiosity of what happens next makes it an interesting story.

I liked the novel. I liked the beautiful narration and I loved the way it has come out and taught some lessons to us which we tend to ignore in our so called busy lives.

& Last but not the least.

It's a typical grapevine book with everything on a high.

Title misleading but prologue gives the clue

Mr. Garg wrote the book not because he had a 'story' to tell. Rather the 'story' is written with an 'agenda' in mind. Style of execution is similar to that of a scriptwriter in an advertising agency trying to sell a brand. Precisely the beginning and the end do give that kind of feeling. Though there are glimpses where the 'story-teller' within has beaten the scriptwriter. A-story-with-a-moral(?) gone wrong somewhere!! Possibly more effort could have blended the 'good' massage with the story which would have helped it spread better. Deserve a little less than okay (1.75-star!!! maybe).

By the way, on 'moral' part of the story sometimes in life we loose our 'inner peace' when faced with the dilemma of doing something which is legal but unethical and vice-versa. But the protagonist of the story is perfectly at 'peace' doing something illegal as-well-as unethical and not a bit repentance because the same is done to re-unite two estranged souls at the end!!! Strange are the ways of life.

LOST MY PEACE!!!

My first assumption about the book was it would actually teach us a few lessons on gaining inner peace in this Abso-Bloody-lootely chaotic world. We have already embedded the suggestions about peace and life which the author shared in the book through movies, elders, friends and gossips.

This is typical Indian English and nothing more fascinating about the literature. I felt lot of emptiness, there's no feeling of sentence completion. The flow isn't normal its like it goes a bit high and then a steep low and then back to boredom. The sentence formations haven't delighted me much. I felt the author added a touch of emotion and sentiment at the end to make a fool out of Indian's or anybody in order to at least sell his books in the market.

This is what I honestly think! Sorry Sachin

I've read his previous books and liked that he talked about his own life, or at least that's what I was lead to believe. In his latest book, he continues the story from the end of his last book. It seemed alright for a time but I was turned off by a certain plot point.
I understand that authors may take a little bit of creative liberty with some events or people in their autobiographies, but when it feels like the author is taking me for a ride, I'd rather let go and move on.

I would have loved to give this a three star instead but the book kept on diverting from the title again and again. Attaining Inner peace does not mean destroying everything else. Drugs, drugs and drugs was all this was about. The story was too filmy to be believed. I certainly did not hope this from Sachin Garg. The previous book 'Never Let Me Go' was an amazing read and I had so much expectations after reading the title. But the book did not offer any kind of satisfaction. I hope his next 'Revolution' is good.

It is because of crap like these, people hate Indian authors. The author is nothing more than a businessman. A very weak story line with a very predictable ending enriched with masala that appeals to the Indian audience. Some of the scenes such as 'finding out the girl he is looking for is an author' and all are an insult to the collective conscience of the Indian audience.
"If a book can change lives, this one definitely will" - Rohit Gore about this book. He is kinda right. Changed my life pretty well. Not gonna read books that are randomly picked up.
And oh, this is already pointed out - most of the scenes are a rip off from Breaking Bad.

I was very impressed to discover that not all college romances have to have a cheesy love story. I loved Garg's Never Let Me Go even though it was not an easy ending to accept..with the lead girl Kanika dying in the end. But this book really turns things around...we all have had our own share of grief and this book taught me how to deal with problems in my life.

A much recommended book for everyone. it is fun, it is dark and eventually, it is soothing. very Refreshing and honest narration. Go for it!

Quick and easy read. Interesting subject storyline.
What makes this book interesting is self-help related philosophy mixed with story, but the way the storyline is narrated. Those who read the earlier books of the author feel few incidents are repeated but the reader won't get bored. I am reminded of the movie "Suraj ka sathwa Ghoda" where several frames are repeated without making the viewer bored with repetition.
Those who like to read philosophy mixed story go for this. I am sure you will enjoy this one.

The author's confidence in picking a very strong plot and taking it along in a casual way instead of handling it very spiritually is much appreciated. However, the narration was a let down and could have been interesting. It makes you yawn manytimes because of the narration getting a bit sluggish. Few references mentioned were catchy especially Edward Norton's house in the movie Fight Club. No grip in the key characters. The three things the monk says were brilliant. Overall an OK kind. The draft could have been given one more proofread before publishing.

The book doesn't seem to resonate with the title. It can't be stated clearly if the book is realistic or unrealistic fiction.Unrealistic seems reasonable though. Some incidents like Imran and Joseph being excited for Samar just don't make sense. The author should have worked more on building a background for Samar.Samar's Personality is still unclear. How can he drive a car if he works for 50rs. per day at Goa!This is even more badly written than Chetan Bhagat's Revolution 2020.Overall this is a waste of time.

2/5. Extremely predictable plot. No suspense. Unrealistic in some cases, for example, the place where Kanika would try to explain what happened with Roy and Samar would not let her explain. She could have dropped a freaking message!! One more is Vandana's fall-out with parents. There is no reason said clearly in why she did that!!

Character build-up is ok, could have been better. The narration was normal and nothing great.

I just took to the habit of becoming a regular reader and this book is the first that I decided to read.

I am happy that I chose this book since it is simple to comprehend and yet has a very deep and inner meaning to it.

I love the style in which it has been writing and how each one of the characters in the novel seem to be someone with whom we can all connect so well.

I would highly recommend this book! waiting to lay my hands on the other books by Sachin Garg!

can anyone say what the good lesson it gives?. till the end I was hoping to get any... but nothing. it's clearly a ................... what it is trying to say doing illegal and making drugs is ok. how can one get inner peace after all the illegal things he do. and story is wantedly boiled up. Eye catching title and words of the back cover is totally misleading the readers. I gv 2 stars only cos atlest it is good enough to make me read till the end. but totally a misleading book.

Its not your regular cheesy romance book. There is a lot of gyaan by Swami ji, which will change your take in life. Its a reminder of our fast paced life and how fragile it is.

Its a refreshing take on life, the characters swept me away into their world.

Its a book that gives you a sense of calm and euphoria.

Honest, refreshing and a mind changing book!

Pathetic book...bought it in an illusion that it might be about some kind of spiritual transformation that author might have experienced but it was a mere potboiler full of chic-lit shit and petty college romance with some incredulous happenings which even bollywood would hesitate to incorporate in it's films...a very very misleading and deceptive title...the worst 65 rupees spent ever..

Dull! Mundane! Every time I try reading young Indian contemporary authors and they never fail to disappoint me, they are as stuffed they can be. I want my precious time back:(
Most of the sub plots are ripped off from various sources like breaking bad, Karan Bajaj's Keep Off the Grass Etc.
I wish author had put more efforts and creativity on the story rather than book's title and cover.

Good read, if i had read it a decade back wld hav called it 'Remarkable'.

Only complaint, it seems author had a target to finish story in so many pages. Could have given a more elaborate ending..

My take, if ur below 25 just read it, if above this could be a good weekend read with nothing else to do..

This should have been a short story. Too flat and at few points logics were missing. I tried my best to appreciate at some point but I don't want to disappoint my trying. Maybe after writing few books, the author took the Story in light way and just tried to stretch it in novel form. For me it was waste of money.
