Foreign Affairs, Book Four

A “life swap” with her Australian friend finds Harper on Farpoint Creek Cattle Station, resident teacher for the next two weeks. Having rarely left Chicago, she’s unprepared for many things Down Under—not the least of which is an instant, and instantly intense, attraction to not one, but two Aussie cowboys. She’d promised herself an adventure, so when the handsome pair come calling, Harper dives in. Literally.

Stockmen Keith and Marc are head over heels in lust with the American teacher, though the attraction brings about some surprising revelations. Such as how right it feels to share a woman. This woman. No jealousy between the lifelong mates, just a burning need to bring Harper pleasure. Together. And they do so—until an unsettling event unearths her tragic revelation.

Between Harper’s inability to confide in the men and her stay at Farpoint racing to an end, it seems inevitable their loving ménage will soon break apart. Doesn’t it?

Inside Scoop: This story has a very brief recollection of child abuse. Good thing Harper has two strong stockmen to chase away bad memories.

2 1/2 Stars for this misplaced story...what happened...where did it go?

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book and go back to Oz and read Harper's story along with her two sexy stockmen, Keith and Marc, or as they are known at Farpoint Creek station, Blue and Thomo. What a disappointment!

The 3 of them spent most of the book wandering naked in the Outback, bangin' away by the billabong...boring!! Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating, but that's what it seemed like to me, actually they did make into Harper's bed on occasion. No character development, no real story. One teeny moment of drama that went nowhere fast. Lots of internal dialogue that made no sense at all, and for that matter a lot of actual dialogue that wasn't all the great.

“That was all right, ’eh?”
She burst out laughing at Marc’s breathless statement, and then let out a little whimper as he slowly lowered her leg to the ground and withdrew from her sex.
“All right doesn’t begin to describe it,” she answered, releasing Keith’s cock. He stepped away from her without a word, and for a surreal moment she missed the feel of his chest pressed to her back so much it ached.
Marc moved away from her. “How ’bout bloody brilliant then?”
She watched him dispose of the condom, scoop up his jeans from the floor and shove his legs into them. It dawned on her neither Keith nor Marc wore underwear. For some reason, she liked that. “Bloody brilliant comes a little closer.”
“Love the way you say bloody in that accent of yours.” He snared his hat from beside his boots and placed it on his head. “So damn sexy.”
She blushed. “My accent isn’t sexy. Yours though…oh boy.”
Before he could respond, Keith was beside her, a warm washcloth in his hand. He cleaned her fingers of his seed, his fly once more zipped closed, his hat—Harper couldn’t help but notice—back on his head.

Say what?!?! Talk about after-glow, or rather none at all...that bulb was really dim! All very methodical, not much feeling, but it was like that for most of the book.

For a series that started off with so much potential, this book just fizzled and fell flat. Lackluster ending and no epilogue...I felt utterly deflated!

Harper Shaw and Amy Wesson traded houses, with Harper coming to Farpoint Creek Cattle Station in Australia, and Amy heading to Chicago. When Harper gets to Australia, she's expecting two hot guys to meet her plane, but instead there is one homely guy who keeps bugging her. And he tells her that Keith Munroe and Marc Thompson (the two hot guys she was expecting) are gay! And since the guys are gay, it seems okay to go skinny dipping with them even though she doesn't know them very well, right? Until she finds out they aren't!!! And now her fantasy of being with two guys may have a chance of coming true. This was my least favorite of the four books in the series. I still enjoyed it - it's sexy and hot and fun, it just took longer for me to get into the book.

This MFM story is short and sweet. I have seen this advertised as an MMF story.....
Just an FYI..... This is NOT an MMF story, this is all about the girl despite an undercurrent of MM attraction.
Harper’s unfortunate childhood issues helped make her an interesting three dimensional character.
I have not read the other books yet in this series so I cannot say if there is more background about these characters in the other books, but I enjoyed this book.

Loved, Loved, Loved this series.

I 'met' this author in the Trinity Masters series and now she is a one-click favorite. The stories take place in Chicago and in the Australian Outback. The series starts with Dylan and Annie who meets online and after a year decide to meet. Missed communication leads to Dylan's travel to Chicago crossing paths with Annie who is entourage to Australia. I don't believe in spoilers. Suffice it to say there are likable , even lovable, characters who develop interesting relationships plenty of local color both in Australia and in the US. There's plenty of romance , steamy intimacy and plenty of laughs along the way .
Each book is a complete story about different characters although linked to the other stories and an HEA ending . Absolutely a series of five-star reads .

I’ve really loved the Foreign Affairs series by these authors and Misplaced Hands is totally delish purestdelightawardwith vegemite on top or at least that’s what I assume the two (yes TWO) heroes in this book would tell you. Me, I’ve never had it nor have I had a Tim Tam although someday I hope to but I want to eat one on Australian soil…yep, totally on my bucket list after I get scuba certified so I can do the Great Barrier Reef in style! But enough about me, this book is about Chicago teacher, Harper Shaw who has traded places with her online friend for a two week life swap bringing her to an Australian station to teach the children and let her experience life on her terms.
It’s hard not to like the wide eyed, inexperienced Harper. You just get the feeling this girl has been going through the motions of living life heading to her big brother’s wishes and dreaming of the life she’d really like to live. When she meets stockmen, Keith and Marc she begins to realize exactly what she wants but isn’t sure they are interested in helping her explore her sensual side.

Despite being somewhat cocky, both Keith and Marc are easy to enjoy. It’s apparent they have a very close friendship and have each other’s backs no matter what. They also both discover they want Harper and for the first time ever, they realize they want to share this woman together.

From the first moment they meet, the attraction between these three is more than apparent. I mean it drips off them and puddles on to the ground. What I love is that they don’t make a big deal about deciding to share this woman, Keith suggests it and Marc agrees pretty easily. The fact that they both enjoy watching the other pleasure Harper is testament to how much they want to give to her. When they are all three together, there’s no denying she is their top priority and man what any woman wouldn’t give to be their priority. But this book goes beyond attraction, an incident leave Harper reeling as it brings up something from her past she thought she’d put behind her and all three realize that they’ve developed some strong feelings in the short time they’ve been together.

I flat out loved this book, yes it moves at a rapid pace and of course I always want MORE but the absolute sexiness of these three together were more than satisfying making Misplaced Hands a winner in my eyes!

This was a pretty good story. I liked Harper, Keith and Marc and I liked their story.

Harper is a teacher in Chicago. She's been corresponding with another teacher, Amy, in Australia for about a year and is very close to her. They decide to change lives for 2 weeks with Harper spending 2 weeks on an outback cattle station teaching the children there while Amy stays in Harper's house in Chicago and does the tourist thing.

Keith and Marc are jackaroos (Australian cowboys) on an Australian cattle station. They're very close and have been friends and worked together for years. Keith and Marc tend to be rather competitive for women and have never shared before. When they meet Harper they both have much stronger feelings for her than any woman before.

Harper has always been rather sheltered and not always by choice. Because of some bad things that happened to her when she was a child, her brother, Andrew, has always been very overprotective. Harper's brother is out of town for a business trip when she leaves for Australia and she decides not to tell him where she's going or risk him coming after her to try to drag her home. When she goes to Australia, she wants to leave her old self behind and explore new things. When she meets Keith and Marc, she discovers that she wants to explore them...both of them.

There is a misunderstanding that causes some confusion at first but soon the strong attraction between Harper, Keith and Marc blooms into full blown want and the trio become a threesome. Things get more serious for them all the longer they're together and none of them want to acknowledge Harper's impending departure even though it's lingering in all of their minds. There's some drama that causes some upset for the trio but just emphasizes how much they want to stay together. Things end up working out (in a tie in to book #3) and Harper, Keith and Marc start a HEA as a threesome.

This was a pretty enjoyable story. I liked Harper, Keith and Marc and liked their story. I Had no major complaints and it worked well for it's length. Overall, I was pretty happy with the story and would recommend it. :)

There are many reasons why I enjoy every book in this series, here are some of them:
-There are cowboys….sorry stockmen.
-They’re funny and sexy.
-There’s a mix of Australians and Americans which makes for some really entertaining moments and some culture adjustment by the characters.
-Did I mention the accent?
And in MISPLACED HANDS, there’s TWO of them. Hawtness overload!

MISPLACED HANDS is the story of Andrew’s sister who goes to Australia and be a teacher for the amount of time she’s swapping houses. Once she gets there she finds not one but two sexy men drooling all over her and trying to catch her attention. Tomo and Blue (or Keith and Marc) work for the station we first got to know in book one and two in the series, but they are the actual working type cowboys….errrr stockmen. Poor Harper doesn’t know what hit her when they decide she’s the woman they want to share. The whole point of this trip for Harper was to experience life and she checks her inhibitions at the … edge of the water?

I found this book to be, as the others, extremely sexy. It had it’s funny and entertaining moments which again made this a very fast read. I would’ve liked to see more of Australia and the station, but the romance was done well.

I think Harper still has issues to get over and Keith and Marc might just be what she needs to overcome them.

I’m not sure where the series will go from here but if they keep writing them, I’ll keep reading them. And if you like cowboys and sexy men with accents who know how to please a woman, you should be reading them too! So start at the beginning!

Hot! Intense! Incredible! Those are the first words that come to mind when I think of how to describe Misplaced Hands, book four in the Foreign Affairs series by Lexxie Couper and Mari Carr. Amazingly each and every one of these stories in this series just got better and better. I loved them all but if I had to pick just one of these four books as my favorite, I would have to pick this one. This entire series was highly addictive and I suffered a lot of sleepless nights as I couldn’t put them.

Harper “life swaps” with her Australian friend, Amy, and finds herself as a teacher on a cattle station. I really liked Harper’s character. Having an overprotective brother, she really has not ventured too far into life. It was enjoyable watching her come of her shell now that she was on her own. I adored Keith and Marc, the two heroes in the story. They were protective of Harper but romantic and adoring as well.

As with the other three books in the series, this story certainly is not lacking anything in the heat department. Wowza it is hot! With two heroes, ménage is common place in this book.

I loved being able to visit with our friends from the previous books in the series as well.

As much as I couldn’t put these stories down and find out how everything turns out, I am sorry to see this wonderful series come to an end. I loved each and every one and also enjoyed catching up with old friends from past stories.

Harper an American school teacher is swapping lives with a friend in Australia for two weeks. Having rarely been out of Chicago, life in the Bush is a drastic change. However, the biggest change is the feelings of lust awakened when Harper spends time with Stockmen Keith and Marc. Keith and Marc fall hard and fast for the sexy American but she is holding something back from them. They are determined to soothe Harper’s soul and steal her heart if she’s willing to give them a shot. Will Harper find love or break two hearts when she heads back to the USA?

Misplaced Hands is another great addition to the Foreign Affairs series from authors Lexxie Couper and Mari Carr! I love how this series gives the reader the best of both worlds. Aussies and Americans come together to make sweet, sinfully sexy love in Misplaced Hands. I really enjoyed getting to know Harper and watch how she basically swept Keith and Marc off their feet. I hope there are books to come in the series or an update on the international couples. I’d love to see what hijinks the characters come up with next.

This was one hot book! As known I have a weakness for ménage stories and this one takes place Down Under with 2 very hot cowboys...uhm oh no, stockmen!
I loved it and am sad to see this awesome series end, but it ended on a real high.

I loved this story. It ticked almost all my romance reader boxes! I loved how Harper developed and overcame her childhood trauma with Marc and Keith's help and I really think Mari Carr and Lexxie Couper form a winning writer team! I hope they'll have more co-written books in the future!

Fave Scenes:
- the skinny-dipping in the billabong scene > OMG that was hot!

Fave Quotes:
The leaner of the two cowboys sauntered over to her. There was no other way to describe the way he walked. Like sinful temptation, mischievous charm and cocky indolence.

If Marc Thompson was sinful temptation, mischievous charm and cocky flirtation wrapped in tight denim, Keith Munroe was potent strength, concentrated sexuality and rugged masculinity.

The kiss melted the chill in her soul. His lips sought out her pain and took it away. She moaned, giving him everything she had in her heart.

This one was good, but not nearly the same caliber in the romance department as the previous three books in the series. I think I just was expecting to see more of the romance that connects these three, but those moments together are glossed over. Now aside from that, the rest of the book was just as awesome as all the others in this series. The sexual tension and chemistry between them all was explosive. Keith, Marc, and Harper were great together as a trio, but I think what stuck out to me the most was the connection between Keith and Marc. These two guys were connected in such a way that you almost got a hint of them not being nearly as hetero as they claimed. Now that would have made this book even more hot. *winks* Suffice to say, I loved this series and I think this collaborative effort between Mari and Lexxie was a huge hit!

When Harper and Annie decide to trade places and see how each other lives, they don't expect things to turn out like they do. Before Annie leaves to go to America, she asks her two best friends, Keith and Marc, to keep an eye on her and show her around. What she doesn't expect is the sparks that fly when the three of them meet. Harper decides to give in to one of her secret fantasies and find out what it is like to be with two men at the same time while she is in a different country and can let loose a little. Keith and Marc can not believe how easy it is between them to share the attention from Harper. Before they know what happened, they realize the attraction has grown into something more. But how can it work when they live in two different countries and there is three of them involved?

The male characters Keith and Marc sound very hot and wouldn't mind being on the receiving end of their attentions. Harper has managed to escape her overprotective brother to experience this new experience and she soon shines when she becomes involved with Keith and Marc.

The way the authors have written about the Cattle Station in Australia makes you feel like you are there and the descriptions are realistic and also you don't know that two authors have written this book as it is seamless.

We have now come to the book coma portion of the program and I am truly happy and ecstatic that I purchased this series. This final installment by these two authors was truly well done. Thanks to Lexxie Couper, I'm already sold on visiting Australia one day, but now thanks to these books, I will most definitely be taking a detour to visit the outback to stare at some "stockman" for a while simply because I can. No one can write a better menage story than Lexxie in my opinion and she truly conveys what's in the heart of all three characters involved. Fantastic series.
