Intuition, the power of attaining direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought exists. Maybe, it’s your hidden mind. “We’re not alone,” Hart whispered as he stood alone staring out the window of his classroom at Fine Hall. “Something can read our thoughts and send us messages.” Hart felt sure, and, as he stood gazing, he tried not to be daunted by his challenge to prove it all. A compassionate man, he worried a lot about the state of the world. It was a fearful place with a dubious future. But there was hope.
I gave this book a 3 rating due to the use of so much philosophical and technical terminology which I had a hard time understanding. Only someone with a scientist's background and education would understand most of this story. I plowed through to the end however hoping I would understand when I reached the end. Unfortunately I understood very little of what I had read even though the author had kept me in suspense till the end! This book is meant to be read by those who are more highly educated than myself and more knowledgeable of philosophy and scientific matters.
I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway and was excited by the summary of the story -which seemed historical and mysterious. To be fair, this genre is a bit outside of my comfort zone but I gave it more than a fair shot. Unfortunately, it didn't come together in the way I'd hoped. Great idea but poor execution. If you want to read about a bunch of phone calls and short, fruitless visits with people then this is the book for you. If you aren't bothered by copious typos and illogical contractions then go forth and read The Ancient Scientist... otherwise you might have better luck elsewhere.
This book had a lot of philosophical and technical information in it which at times made it hard to read. I found myself jumping around and to next sections because of this. It is a good story and interesting, but at times hard to read.
This book is very impressive, for those of you who like a read that engages your brain in the most delightful manner, this book is a must read, for those of you who don't ,this is still a must read. You will come away with quite a smile on your face. This story starts off a little slow, but you must stay with it,you will not be disappointed. The apparent research that went into this book is awe inspiring and I must praise the author for doing such an outstanding job.Dr.Tom Hart along with his friend and colleague Julius Olsen embark on an adventure to prove that "the universe has a dual nature that resides in ones self",that it is possible to exist in two different realms at the same time .What they don't realise is the journey they set out on is fraught with danger from individuals whose life mission is to keep them from discovering the truth. A sensational read!!!
