I know I say this a lot, but I really, REALLY loved this book. The author made the backstories so AMAZING! I said Misono is my favorite character so far because he reminded me of my favorite anime character Death The Kid, but now, I love him even more now that I know about his past. I really felt like crying at the end of the book, It’s so emotional in love it! I love how the characters realistically react to their situations. I would be super interested and frustrated if I found out everyone’s been keeping a secret from me! I really have nothing to suggest, other than keep doing what your doing!
This volume was just great! In the last volume I was whining about not knowing anything about Tsubaki and his goals or the stories behind the different servamps, and while we still don't know that much about them, I was glad to finally get some information. I also loved the drama around Misono and how it was resolved. It's not perfect, it still has some flaws, but I was more than happy to finally learn about why Lilly is behaving the way he does. And I loved the resolution with the new pocket watch. So this was great. The pacing was also a lot better than before and I hope the following volumes will keep up with pace and storytelling.
Still enjoying this so much. I had forgotten all about Misono's background. Gah my heart. But I'm actually glad that I don't remember a lot from the anime because its making me enjoy the manga so much. Im addicted.
I want to write a proper review about the series, but there's still more story to go so it would be unfair to judge it for now. But! This series entertains me a lot. I love the humor, action, drama, the psychological & phylosophical aspect of it too. I like it so far.
Things are beginning to go down for our crew when trouble goes down in the Misono Manor. We saw a glimpse in the previous book of how Misono's father has returned and informed Misono that vampires are out of the question. He wants to keep his "only" son safe within the confines of the mansion.
Otogiri, the famous puppeteer of everything with her literal threads of deceit acts on behalf of Tsu's orders. She infiltrates the manor while Lily continues to shield his Eve from pain. But answers must come forth even if they are painful.
Upon barging into the manor dragging Kuro in by the tail Mahiru demands to see his friend. In doing so he meets Mikado, Misono's father who doesn't approve of the two. He wishes to shield his youngest son and "only" son from the war that is starting. Mikado believes Misono's safe within the manor since it's practically a prison.
But when Otogiri reveals herself and makes an attack on Eve and Servamp everything goes bad. We find out just how valuable it is to have a strong connection between an Eve and Servamp. In discovering this we get to see the value of this bond and the "gifts" every Servamp receives from his Eve to seal things. Servamps have weaknesses.
It's up to Kuro and Mahiru to save Lily and Misono. But this book is solely about Misono and obstacles he must overcome. Not to mention finally facing the painful memories of that night when Mikuni had to leave. Why's Mikuni's name not mentioned within the manor? Why does Mikado not believe in the fact that he has two sons?
I loved this book and it got me a little emotional with the events. I also enjoy being able to delve into people's pasts and understanding more of their character. There are some mentions of boobs and "business" but nothings really explicit. I like how the author devotes his books to more than just the two main characters of the story. Though I find that our author LOVES names beginning with M. Whew, trying to remember all their names is a little hard.
I was so happy when I saw the cover! Sakuya finally gets the spotlight he needs! I was really shocked when I saw what Sakuya had to go through when he was a kid. I cried like five times for this fictional character that I can never meet.
