3.5 stars. This was a steamy, intimate little adventure. Pacing was a bit quick at times, but still managed to find a good flow. Jase, retired hitman, and Rage, a troubled young woman who has dabbled in killing, meet up and begin a torrid love affair. The sex between the two was pretty...pretty....pretty good. A little hard to believe she was a virgin, as she took to Jase like a fish to water. And who the hell could jump into a hump session right after waking up from a month-long coma? Well, apparently Rage could, that's who. She is down for sex, nonstop, and miraculously progresses from timid virgin to full-blown adult film performer within a few minutes. Now, if you can suspend disbelief for a bit, the dynamics, beyond the sex, between our two leads was very entertaining. Playful banter and alluring innuendos. I laughed out loud when Jase revealed his penis to Rage and she said, "What do you feed that thing?" I did want some additional background on both of them, which felt a bit rushed and underdeveloped, and wish the story was a tad longer. Not by much, but just to add some needed layers and round out the characters. But it's a really fun story chock full of hardcore sex, blood, gunfire, and trauma. If you aren't down with that, I got two words for ya...your loss.

I love insane mcs and Jase and his little killer were the definition of insane. Psychotic, devious and with a humorous side!
An ex-hitman turned full-time stalker when he meets our beautiful, bloodthirsty and deeply broken girl, Rage. They were certainly a match, one feeding on each other's energy and fueling the madness. I really enjoyed their interactions.
There was action, some banter and so much spice. And it wasn't just regular spice. There were so many k*nks tossed in there. Some mild and then some …not-so-mild. So check the tws.
As much as I liked the characters and their bloodthirstiness, something didn't fully click in me, which is so unfortunate because I love unhinged mcs and these two were SO unhinged. The pacing wasn't the preferred one for me. It felt a bit lacking and "chunky". There were some weird time jumps that left me bewildered and then some plot holes, which affected the chemistry of characters.
It was generally a fast, fun story to read. I just wished it was a bit more smooth.
Did I like it? Mostly yes.
Would I reread it? Nope.

This book is fast paced and will have you sucked in from the start.
Rage and Jase’s chemistry is everything, their darkness matches each other perfectly.
I aspire to be the bad bitch that Rage is and love her love of switchblades. I love how her personality throughout the book doesn’t change necessarily but does grow in the most amazing way.
Daddy Jase is total drool worthy, who doesn’t want the guy that will literally kill for you. I love his protectiveness but that he lets Rage be who she is as well.
The ending shocked the hell out of me! Mind blown and I may have cried a little but the hea at the end honestly wraps the story up perfectly.
The smut is great in the book I think the smut to story plot ratio was perfect.

The author doesn't drag out character building. You knew exactly who they were and what the characters were all about from the first few chapters. From start to finish, this book will keep you on your toes, maybe even shed a little tear, then she sends you through a rollercoaster of emotions until the end, wanting more Jase and Rage!

There is something about two killers finding love that grabs my attention in a read. Not everyone will understand their connection but it is founded on some of the basics of what we all look for. Trust loyalty compassion except here you get knife and gun play with a little killing on the side. I LOVED IT!!

This book was one of those ones I refer to as junk food. You know they’re not good for you, yet and yet you keep wanting to turn the page.
This is a dark romance following Rage as she’s trying to figure out her life following the death of her abusive grandmother. She has a lot of trust issues and deep seeded fears around the idea of a romantic partner.
She’s strong-willed and fiery. I thought she was a bit over the top at times but gave me a laugh. MMC is a retired hitman who stumbled upon Rage unaliving someone and instantly fell in love.
I didn’t love this, the writing style was especially cringey at times but it was never enough to stop me from reading. I liked how unhinged it was even tho it wasn’t SUPER dark.

This book has absolutely exceeded my expectations.
I love everything about this little novella. The characters have amazing chemistry, there’s blood and merderr and the spice is immaculate.
The development of the relationship between the main characters and their fun banter really made me adore two k!llers. This book had so many great quotes and I couldn’t stop highlighting every few pages. Literally the first words in this book are “I’m living in a world that likes to fuck me in the ass with no lube”. Phenomenal. Yes. Page one I already don’t want to put it down.
I gave this an easy 5/5⭐️ along with a 4/5🌶️ rating

The title alone had me excited for this book. I don’t know what it is about a bad ass FMC, but it gets me every time 🥵 Jase and Rage’s connection from the very beginning was intense, those two are the definition of a twin flame. They both had “touch what’s mine and D!E” vibes! The two of them understood each other on a very dark and twisted level, but i think it made their feelings for each other so much stronger. Even with Jase’s extreme protective, possessive energy, my favorite thing about him was the level of patience he had with Rage, especially once things got… physical 😏 the amount of spice in this book, holy moly 😬 so good, VERY descriptive, which is always nice. 😉 I will say, this is a very fast pace read, so prepare for a lot to happen one after another. But if you’re in the mood for lots of spice, stalker vibes, some dark background stories, lots of murd3r, and a HEA? This is the book for you 😉

I adored this novella. It starts off with a bang and it never ends. The spice, plot, banter were un-fucking-matched.
Our FMC, Rage, has been through incredible hardships and when she is found slitting the throat of a man who couldn’t take “no” for an answer by Jace, everything changed. Retired assassin, Jace, was immediately enthralled by this girl who simply gave no fucks and the only logical answer is that he starts stalking her. This starts the beginning of our unexpected love story.
Considering this is a novella, the character development and the plot were developed. I started to feel the love the between them. Obviously, I wanted more of them but that’s me just being greedy.

Listen, I don't like being rude, but this was a bad attempt at a dark romance. The author tried and, in my eyes, they failed. It wasn't dark, it was laughable. There was no depth at all to it. Yes, I know it is a novella but come on.

Rage and Jase are a perfect match in every way. Twin flames at its best. I love the dynamic of their relationship and how well they work with each other. This story gave me just enough spice with depravity. I ate this up. Can’t wait to read what’s next for these two.

This was a gritty, bloody, 🥵🔥 Smutty, dark novella about two killers who find love. My absolute favorite dark romances are where they are both killers. I love a strong unhinged female character just out bossing meeting her smoking hot murderous counterpart. Is something wrong with my brain? Probably? Do I care all that much? Absolutely not. This was such a good little read. Make sure you check all the triggers before entering.

This was a quick, dark, and smutty read! Definitely more smut than plot, but we never complain about smut here!
Now I really enjoyed this book, we have Rage are FMC who is a little crazy and basically ends anyone who tries to touch her. After getting caught killing someone by our MMC Jase. He becomes infatuated with her and starts to stalk her. Naturally! Who doesn't love a hot, crazed stalky type!?
As the story progresses we get some comical moments between Jase and Rage, as she literally gives me all the bad bitch vibes! I mean, she has a stalker outside her window, which she comes to and sees him and flips him the bird! I just loved her energy!
Jase is so sweet with Rage, but also such a daddy! I just loved the way he was always there for Rage and helped her overcome some of her fears. They're such a team together.
There is spice within this story, and good lord! It was spicy! There was a scene at a firing range that made me want to lay back on my sofa with a cigar! And I don't smoke! I just felt like I needed it after that smexyness!
I would recommend anyone looking to read this check triggers first as there is subject matter touched on that is triggering as well as the kinks that are involved. For example, gun play, breath play, knife, and blood play. All the best ingredients for a spicy novella!
Overall, I really enjoyed this and can't wait to reread it again in a few months' time! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quick smutty read, with lots of unaliving and a power house couple that no one should mess with!

There is spice within this story, and good lord! It was spicy! There was a scene at a firing range that made me want to lay back on my sofa with a cigar! And I don't smoke! I just felt like I needed it after that smexyness!
I would recommend anyone looking to read this check triggers first as there is subject matter touched on that is triggering as well as the kinks that are involved. For example, gun play, breath play, knife, and blood play. All the best ingredients for a spicy novella!
Overall, I really enjoyed this and can't wait to reread it again in a few months' time! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quick smutty read, with lots of unaliving and a power house couple that no one should mess with!
P.S: J.S Cannon, I would love to see more of this couple! In a full-length book or another novella, please! 🙏

This novella was a spicy dark romance filled with unalivers, stalking, and touch her you die moments!
I tried to listen to this while I was at work but man oh man I kept going back in to highlight what felt like every other sentence! Soooo after a long lunch and many highlights/comments I finished this masterpiece and fell so deeply in love with Rage and Jase. The way they comfort one other, their insta attraction, the intensity. I loved the kinks, the knife play, and how the fires within them continuously grew. Their banter was delicious!
I feel like the pacing was a bit off but the tension and spice counterbalanced my care for that.
This was just yummy!! A slice of life with twists of dark obsession and steamy kinks. 🤌🏽😍🖤

This was a good quick pace dark novella! The premise and name are what made me want to read it. The FMC is a badasś which I loved! The MMC was protective stalker and wanted nothing more than to love her and his pink lawn chair made my day. Lmao. Although it’s a dark novella, it has humor and love in it! The spice was delicious and I enjoyed chemistry between the two of them.
I technically gave it 3.75 stars but rounded it to 4 stars. Idk if the plot holes are because it’s a novella but there are some things that I wondered about but not gonna spoil the story! It’s a good read if you enjoy dark romance but check your triggers.

This was my first time reading a book by this author and damn it was good. If you like your books dark and twisted, with lots of good spice and stalker fibes this is definitely a novella you need to pick up.
Both the characters has been through so much stuff, I was super happy that they found happiness together. I loved how Rage would open up to Jase and how Jase opens up the world for Rage.
I liked it that though the book was dark and bloody, there was so much humor in it. It was fast paced and kept me at the edge of my seat the whole time.

Holy hell! I am in utter awe. Why is it that someone can write the most demented, morally grey characters doing the most heinous acts, and I'm on it like bees to a flower? Ok, but can we get more Rage and Jase!?? They were made for each other, and I NEED more of them! Great twists, dark... I'm in love. If you want a super quick rollercoaster of a ride type read, then this is it!

What a book. I absolutly loved it.
The connection between Rage and Jase is out off this world. It is all consuming. Even though they are both twisted and dark souls, they fit perfectly together.
The book is a fast read with a fast pace, but that doesn't take away how good this book is. The author did a great job! The book had everything you want in a dark romance. Spice, a little stalking and a whole lot of dark and twisted stuff.

Quick, twisted, and STEAMY read. I am obsessed with Rage; she is such a strong badass character with so much potential, and I love that she holds her own throughout the book, only getting stronger. I wanted to believe she and Jase were fated soulmates, but some of the plot felt a little flat for how grand their love was expressed. Will be rereading and adding a copy to my bookshelf.

The perfect way to write a Novella
Rage has been abused all her life and she hates the idea of anyone touching her. She also is more than willing to go out and kill any of the scum that walk the streets of her town at night trying to prey on women. Plus she has the skills to do it. So what happens when someone catches her after slicing someone’s throat, but oddly enough he does not seem phased and is more interested in getting to know her? Who cares blow him off! But then he has other ideas.
Jase decided has recently retired when he stumbles upon a woman in a park that just slit someone’s throat and he is more shocked at how beautiful she is rather than the bloody body laying at her feet. But she wants nothing to do with him. Guess he will just have to stalk her instead and “force” himself onto her. But he does know not to touch her, even if he is dying to lick every inch of her. So what happens when Rage finally starts to give into him, enjoying his company (even if she won’t say it out loud)? Will he be able to break her touch exterior and make her admit the way he makes her feel? And what happens when his past come knocking to try and drag him back into his previous line of work?
I have never been a huge fan of novellas - they are normally either ONLY smut with no real plot line. Or they don’t have enough time to develop the characters, have spicy scenes and finish the plot without being super cheesy. But this book has changed my thought process on that!! It was the perfect mix of smut, seeing the characters grow together and get a good plot across in only 124 pages!! And honestly I am perfectly happy with how it ended, even if there is no spin offs or interconnected parts.
