Overall, an excellent introduction to English Language learners and what teachers can do for them. I have gained several great ideas and resources for my students (from 1st grade to adults)! Most of the material at the beginning is a bit dated and some selections are a tad dry, hence the four star rating.
This is my second time reading this text -- I wish I had actually read it the first time instead of skimming it simply for a college class. The latter sections are very helpful.
