Fair Catch
Training, playing ball and studying is Lexi’s life and it never seems to bother her until her friend, Parker Hill, points out to her that sweat pants on a Friday night while watching sappy romance movies isn’t really living up her last year in college. They live in their own littler world where nothing matters besides the love they share for each other. But love isn’t enough for Lexi when she is trying to find her way after college. She slowly sinks into Jake’s shadow and finds herself clawing out of the Jake sized hole she buried herself in so she can find who she is, who she wants to be and what her future holds for her. Fair Catch is a true love story that goes through the trials and tribulations of Jake and Lexi’s insecurities, jealousies, short comings and strong personalities. Love is one hell of a strong bond but sometimes, it’s not strong enough. Follow Jake and Lexi as they try to hold on to the love they share while they try to find themselves and find out what life is after graduation.

When I was in high school I occasionally read books but was consumed by other teenage things so I didn't take the time to appreciate a good book on a cloudy day, wrapped up in a blanket on the couch. It wasn't until I received a Kindle for Christmas one year that my world completely flipped upside down. When looking for books I came across the Contemporary Romance genre and was sold and I haven't turned back since.
You can either find my head buried in my Kindle, listening to inspiring heart ripping music or typing away on the computer twisting and turning the lives of my characters while driving my readers crazy with anticipation.

I rate this book 3.5 stars!!
So I cant say I didn't like the book. I did!! I think the problem was just certain things that annoyed me so much I wanted scream....
Lets first start with the good stuff.
I loved that the book was based on a football player. I love me some football players specially when they are hot like Jake! He is sexy and he is a player... I seem to be an idiot for these kind of books. I love when a guy is a whore and turns good for the one girl he falls for. I can read these for days. And this book is exactly that. Jake has a reputation for bagging all the girls that throw themselves at him and being a party boy. But he has decided that he will change his last year of college.
Meet Lex... she is the girl who is too busy with school and family drama, that she wont give a guy specially a guy like Jake the time of day! She is a softball player and one of the best ones at that. She finds Jake hot ( I mean why wouldn't she) but she doesn't want to give in.
So yes this book if filled of angst and drama! Its like your riding a rollercoaster with this girl and it never ends. She just kinda annoyed me with the whole I like you today but not tomorrow. I get it, it happens but god this girl did it one too many times..
What annoyed me:
1. Lex comes off to me like a very naïve girl ( like a high school girl) at the beginning and all her non making her mind up just got on my nerves.
2. Lex wears her hair up in a messy bun I get it!! I think I got it the second time the author mentions it. But then you keep reading on omg guess what she keeps putting her hair up in a messy bun.
3. Lex has a big tits! Yes we are only told this like 10 times. We get it!
4. Yes her dad is a dead beat and a drunk we get it!!
Anyways I found myself skipping paragraphs that repeated this information because after 2 or 3 times I don't think I need to be reminded.
Now I am not saying the book is bad at all... I liked it I just think these little things get annoying at times.
I will definitely read book two in this series. I want to know wtf is wrong with brooke!!!

Dnfed this one after chapter 3.😣
This was a midnight mistake , which started at 12:10 and ended at 1:19am.⬛◼
By the way it's ..... 437 PAGES LONG!!!➡⬅⬆⬇↗↙↖
See, there was ABSOLUTELY no need for this one to be almost 500 pages long.....like......wtf?
MCs are both senior year students and athletes and he is a manho....or rather WAS.....now he JUST wants to focus on getting drafter by NFL.....She is ALSO an athlete.(tbh, i have NO idea about half the sports references that were being made in the book, i am not into ANY kinds of sports nor to do watch ESPN or SportsCentre, so i didn't understand most of the references)
She is a saint, never parties, goes out for drinks or has any kind of social life.She just studies, reads, plays, and then in MOST of the spare time hangs out with her bff Parker.
Now, since i did NOT finish the book, can't really tell you what the plot was all about, and besides there are SO many other reviews you can easily read from there.
I'll just tell you what I PERSONALLY found annoying.
1.)NO real chemistry was felt b/w the MCs.
2.)h is a 15 y/o whinny girl trapped in a 21 y/o woman's body.
3.)The book could have been easily concluded at 250 pages WITH a great plot which actually made sense,and chemistry that felt hot, and angst that would NOT have felt immature. BUT ALL THAT WAS MISSED BY THIS BOOK.

I liked that she did not easily give into the charms of Jake, she made him work for it SOOOOOOOO MUUUUUCH. I think almost till the 50% he is STILL trying to woe her. Chick was ubreakable as hell.
I love that after being such a manho.....he has to work for it.
But, please....that is the ONLY thing i liked that in this book.🙄🙄
ALSO, GEEEZZZ I GET IT GIIIIRL YOU HAVE BIG TITTIES, NO NEED TO THROW THEM AT MY FACE!!!!!!😲😲😳😳

3 Jake is HOT Stars!!
This was a very enjoyable book but it was a little too cheesy & had too much young adult drama for my likes. I felt that the ending was a little rushed as well. Jake & Lexi were a very adorable couple and I liked how they both were focused on school & sports. I just wasn't feeling the love I normally feel when reading.

This story jumped out at me because it wasn't just about the hot college football player. Both MCs were athletes with strong personalities and huge talent. This was different enough to intrigue me and give it a go.
The heroine was the hottest softball player on campus and something of a legend herself. She's Sexy Lexi-the ball player that holds all the records, lives her life to play and excel, but has no social life to speak of. She's independent, self-reliant, and beautiful. This is her senior year though, and she's decided to take it a little easier and try to enjoy herself a little more. Go to a few parties and meet some new people. Her two best friends are on a mission to make this happen. She's been a hopeless hermit and they are determined to help her live a little before she graduates.
Jake is cocky, and your typical college "golden boy" who has women handed to him on a golden platter.(And pretty much anything else he wants.) In some ways they are so similar: top athletes, sexy, competitive, stubborn and over-achievers. BUT...when these two meet they're like vinegar and water. They are both stunned and feel an immediate attraction upon running into each other at a party but that's as far as Lexi is concerned, that's where it ends. (To his shock and dismay) Her issues?
1. He's a slut
2. He's spoiled and cocky
3. He's rubs her the wrong way from the first word out of his mouth
4. He's a slut.....oh yeah. Said that. Well, it bears repeating
Unbeknownst by her, he is actually tired of the meaningless, one time hook-ups, constant parties and fake clinger-ons always surrounding him. He wants to get more serious about his grades and prepare himself if his dreams of the NFL don't pan out. When he meets Lexi, he wants her like he's never wanted anyone before, but his past reputation is coming back to haunt him. Lexi makes him work HARD for every little piece of her-he has to WIN their first date with her by challenging her to a competition in the gym. She's not impressed with his status or smooth moves. I have to say, that was one of my favorite things about the book. She doesn't fall in his lap and he immediately sees her worth and value.
This book had a lot going for it. There was a lot I really enjoyed, the double athlete angle, their interesting personalities, and the side story of Lexi's two best friends. It was interesting and engaging and the pace kept moving at a steady flow. That being said, Lexi and Jake's relationship evolved to a very volatile, codependent and I-love-you-I-hate-you kind of feel.
Lexi started becoming that annoying girl. You know, that girl that had everything going for her and after becoming one half of the "perfect"couple and loses her identity. She's now revolving around "her man" and everything begins and ends with him.
I would say this is the main conflict of the story and when the plot started to sway this way, I started to lose my patience and my urge to skim started to rise. I understood where the author was coming from, and it's perfectly plausible for this to happen with the "golden couple" on campus, but for me, it caused my opinion of Lexi to plummet. I'm not a fan of this in heroines and it made me want to smack her. Luckily, she finally did see the light and regain her sense of self and that's what saved the book for me. Their hot and cold emotional dynamic was a bit immature for me. I would've liked for them to have less screaming matches and make-up sex but hey, the sex was hot, so I'm not gonna complain much.
If you're a fan of NA college romance, athletes, and an easy, fast flowing read this might be the book for you. My pet peeves may not be yours and this could be a hit out of the ball park for you. I will say when the next in the series comes out about Lexi's BFFs, I will most likely be giving it a shot as well.

Got 60% thru and skimmed to the end. Too much repetition, didn't like these characters. Writing could have been better too.

I’m BAAAACK!!
After a brief hiatus, and while in bed with a yucky virus, I figured I’d get back into reading actual books. (I fell into the fan fiction hole again...)
This one was a meh for me. I hope it was that I found a bad, pre-edited ARC online because there were so many typos (couch vs coach, waist vs waste, etc.), so I feel kind of bad for judging it since I don’t think I got the finalized package.
But the story was kind of underwhelming as well. The main couple got together less than halfway through (which is something I always hesitate with) and so many of their later problems could have been solved with communicating better.
I didn’t hate it, though. It was an easy read.

Reads like it was written by a teenager on Wattpad.
Story is about the campus playboy quarterback falling for the campus untouchable sexpot.
- pros;
- love that the h is a drop dead gorgeous college girl, who’s brainy, driven, hard working, and strong. She had no time for nonsense like partying.
I love that she had a Kate Upton figure, and loved, loved that she had a high self esteem. No whiny heroines here.
-loved that she made the Manho QB work to win her.
- loved that he pined for her.
- I liked seeing a popular QB falls for a beautiful strong h, instead of your typical flat chested plain Jane h, because this is actually believable.🤷🏻♀️
- cons
- dialog. Characters all sound like they’re 15.
- too many characters with their own stories and pov with their own chapters.
- couldn’t connect with the MCs. Hated both of them.
- not enough drama, I was bored.

Will it be for better or for worse?....
Meghan again writes this book in multiple POV's, which she already knows I'm a big fan of. I find you get a better understanding of that characters feelings and emotions within that scene!
I wanted to beat the living shit out of Lexi for causing so much un-needed and wanted heat-ache! Urghhh
Definately some heartaching moments in this book.
I hope there is another one coming out soon.
I need to know what happens with Brooke and Mason.
And will Parker & Margo finally get their JIG ON ;)
P.S - I'm still sitcking with the Hot-Lanta series being my favourite so far though......Maybe just maybe book 2 might be the turning point for me....eh.....best get cracking on with the writing..... :D

DNF at 75%. I just couldn't find it in myself to care anymore. Lexi is not very likeable and the continual arguments just became boring. I'm sorry I gave it so much time tbh.

Fair Catch centres around two young adults in their last year of college, both excellent sports players, Jake - a football player, and Lexi - a softball player. Jake is the Man whore of the athletics department he has pretty much slept with every girl there is in his department. This year however he wants to make a change, after a loss like Jake has suffered he is now realising life is for living and to value what you have. He decides no more woman, he needs to focus on his grades and his sports ready for the NFL drafting - it's time to grow up. Until he see's Lexi at a party and can't get her out of his mind.
Lexi is a beautiful young woman, who is the captain of her college softball team, holding many of the college records for her sport. She has worked hard at her studies and her sporting discipline and isn't much of a socialite. Thanks to her best friend Parker (who is on the baseball team) guys know to steer clear of Lexi, that she isn't the type of woman to sleep around. For her final year of college she has promised Parker and her other best friend Margo that she will try and relax more, try and have a bit of a life outside of sport and study. It's at her first party she meets Jake, although she finds him attractive, his reputation proceeds him and she wants nothing to do with his man slut ways.
So begins Jake's chase of Lexi, to prove to her he is making a change in his life and is a man worthy of her taking a chance on. Their attraction and chemistry is obvious but Lexi is torn with her indecisiveness about trusting that Jake isn't treating her as another conquest.
Jake's devotion and determination to win Lexi over is endearing, I love Lexi's feisty way of bringing Jake down a peg or two. However, as Lexi begins to realise and admit she is falling for Jake she loses this fight of not wanting to turn out like her mother as well as her independence and steps back to follow Jake and his big NFL career. Despite Margo, Parker and her teachers telling her to be selfish, makes plans for her life, Jake will wait if it's meant to be; she doesn't listen. Until the moment her confidence is shaken, and another argument with Jake brings her to breaking point and so does their relationship. When Lexi get's her proverbial shit together, their HEA falls into place.
I loved the fire between Lexi and Jake as lovers and as people it was volatile; but because they are both driven and passionate about everything they do. Another great element to this story I enjoyed was the friendships each character had - Jake with Mason and Lexi with Margo and Parker. I can't wait to see if Book 2 gives me more about the friends we have come to know and love just as much as Jake and Lexi.
Lexi is a beautiful young woman, who is the captain of her college softball team, holding many of the college records for her sport. She has worked hard at her studies and her sporting discipline and isn't much of a socialite. Thanks to her best friend Parker (who is on the baseball team) guys know to steer clear of Lexi, that she isn't the type of woman to sleep around. For her final year of college she has promised Parker and her other best friend Margo that she will try and relax more, try and have a bit of a life outside of sport and study. It's at her first party she meets Jake, although she finds him attractive, his reputation proceeds him and she wants nothing to do with his man slut ways.
So begins Jake's chase of Lexi, to prove to her he is making a change in his life and is a man worthy of her taking a chance on. Their attraction and chemistry is obvious but Lexi is torn with her indecisiveness about trusting that Jake isn't treating her as another conquest.
Jake's devotion and determination to win Lexi over is endearing, I love Lexi's feisty way of bringing Jake down a peg or two. However, as Lexi begins to realise and admit she is falling for Jake she loses this fight of not wanting to turn out like her mother as well as her independence and steps back to follow Jake and his big NFL career. Despite Margo, Parker and her teachers telling her to be selfish, makes plans for her life, Jake will wait if it's meant to be; she doesn't listen. Until the moment her confidence is shaken, and another argument with Jake brings her to breaking point and so does their relationship. When Lexi get's her proverbial shit together, their HEA falls into place.

What can I say about this book? Well, right away I was excited to start reading this book. But as I got into the first few chapters, I almost quit. And I hate not reading an entire book! What threw me was how rude and mean Lexi, the main female character, was. I can understand how her focus and determination on athletics would make her not want to be distracted by a guy, especially a smokin-hot QB like Jake. But come on...she was an absolute witch to him, would not even let him talk for 5 minutes. And then Jake was a complete puppy dog around her. He should have walked away and never spoken to Lexi again. She was my least favorite character from the book, which is a very rare occurrence for me. But I kept on reading cause I thought it couldn't get any worse. And it didn't, just the opposite. The relationship between Jake and Lexi was so up and down, I was getting a little upset. But that's good that a book can pull you in emotionally, feeling involved with the story. All through the book, Lexi became two completely different people. The independent-don't-take-crap-from-no one Lexi, and the selfless-do-whatever-he-wants-done Lexi. But towards the end of the book, I couldn't stand her again, reverting back to the mean Lexi. I wouldn't have blamed Jake for totally giving up on her and moving on, I was actually expecting it. But a HEA always seemed to be where this book was headed, even though personally I wish it didn't. I think Jake was too good for Lexi in the end and should have booted her to the curb for how she treated him. But he had his flaws too: man-whore past, overprotective, borderline controlling, but completely whipped at the same time. I guess I was hoping the characters would've had different interactions with each other. Lexi went from completely hating his guts one day, to being flirty and really liking Jake literally the next day. And all the relationship seemed like was either fighting or sex. No actually romance, downtime, order in/hang out and watch tv scenes to even see why they loved each other. I'm really debating whether or not to read the next book in the series...but I probably will since series books are my favorite. This review is completely written in my opinion and just hope it helps anyone with deciding to read it. And I hope I didn't reveal any spoilers.

So I cant say I didn't like the book. I did!! I think the problem was just certain things that annoyed me so much I wanted scream....
Lets first start with the good stuff.
I loved that the book was based on a football player. I love me some football players specially when they are hot like Jake! He is sexy and he is a player... I seem to be an idiot for these kind of books. I love when a guy is a whore and turns good for the one girl he falls for. I can read these for days. And this book is exactly that. Jake has a reputation for bagging all the girls that throw themselves at him and being a party boy. But he has decided that he will change his last year of college.
Meet Lex... she is the girl who is too busy with school and family drama, that she wont give a guy specially a guy like Jake the time of day! She is a softball player and one of the best ones at that. She finds Jake hot ( I mean why wouldn't she) but she doesn't want to give in.
So yes this book if filled of angst and drama! Its like your riding a rollercoaster with this girl and it never ends. She just kinda annoyed me with the whole I like you today but not tomorrow. I get it, it happens but god this girl did it one too many times..

1. Lex comes off to me like a very naïve girl ( like a high school girl) at the beginning and all her non making her mind up just got on my nerves.
2. Lex wears her hair up in a messy bun I get it!! I think I got it the second time the author mentions it. But then you keep reading on omg guess what she keeps putting her hair up in a messy bun.
3. Lex has a big tits! Yes we are only told this like 10 times. We get it!
4. Yes her dad is a dead beat and a drunk we get it!!
Anyways I found myself skipping paragraphs that repeated this information because after 2 or 3 times I don't think I need to be reminded.
Now I am not saying the book is bad at all... I liked it I just think these little things get annoying at times.
I will definitely read book two in this series. I want to know wtf is wrong with brooke!!!

This was such a fantastic start to this series. I loved that Jake had decided to change his ways before he met Lexi. That he wanted things to be different, but in a better way. Once he met Lexi, he knew that the better way was with her and was unapologetic about wanting her. Lexi is pretty stunned that Jake would want her and initially thinks he just wants to add her as another notch on his bedpost. Their relationship is rocky from the start, and things only get worse once they go on their first date. Yup. I really loved when the two of them got together and they were a couple. There was so much love there. Then other people start giving their opinions on just what Lexi should be doing, and Jake once again steps in it big time. Lexi does what she needs to do eventually, even though it kills her to do it. She find who she is and where she wants to be. The only question is, is Jake a part of that future??
Read for yourselves people, it's not a pretty or easy road, but it's one worthwhile.
Meghan, once again, has managed to grab my attention and keep me glued to the pages until the very last page. Even then, I wanted more. I loved all the characters, they were awesome and so real. That's one of the things I love about Meghan's writing, her characters are so real and so are the story lines. She grabs me and holds my attention until the end with every book, no matter the subject matter. I'll always be a fan.

I couldn't get my hands on this book quick enough! Another great book by this author... I love how she always writes from multiple perspectives so the story is always interesting and leaves you waiting on a the edge of your seat to find out what happens next. Lexi & Jake are my new favorite book couple, can't wait for book two!

Oh Jake!!! Meghan Quinn does it again!! Loved this book and the story! I ended up finishing this book in just under 2 days because I could not put it down!!! I am not only in love with the main characters but also the side characters!! Parker-yum, Mason- yum yum! This book does not disappoint!!

Nice long story and at times I could slap Lexi as she was the worst communicator ever. She slaps Jake or yells, runs home and cries and repeat in the next chapter. Jake suffered a lot.

This was terrible. 60% and I was thinking it was a 2/3 star. 70% and I was toying with this being a 1 star.
Having read books by this author previously and loving most I am stunned by this book. Its so juvenile and the romance feels so young adult it felt inappropriate with the sex scenes.
Lexi I'm sorry is damn awful. Her character was so interesting at the start, fiesty but independent she just went into a bunny boiler. Looking at a naked woman is cheating? Like shite. Maybe its not something you like your partner doing but looking is not cheating. Sorry but thats some controlling behaviour and thats a red flag. Also the fights? Does anybody want to read a romance where they fight constantly. One fight scene fine, fights happen but it just felt like they were having screaming matches all the time and I didn't like either of them for it.
Lexi also was just so pathetic. Spent all week ignoring him instead of saying my mum is here and I need to look after her or something.
Jake was terrible too. Her not telling her family about him hurt but surely you'd see why she didn't? That made no sense.
This was just so insta love and not the enemies to romance I was hoping for. Beyond disappointed.
Oh oh and I didnt even mention why did the person that texted her have to go to the professor too and apologise for her being a dick and not silencing her phone????? What if it was her mum or even a spam text? Baffled.

I did not like the writing style. Author spent too much time explaining the same thing, using very similar if not the same words. I get that she tried to show us exactly what she meant and how she imagined but we get it. We don't need it to be written 100 times.
Also I did not like the nickname sexy Lexi. I wonder if she picked out that name for main character only so she could rhyme it with sexy. I also find it kinda hard to believe that Jake and Lexi never met before. Or at least see each other.
The plot wasn't too inovative and if I say that I was most interested in Margo and Parker's story and how that's going to turn out I think you get the idea how much I was really invested in it.

Another readable book by Meghan Quinn. College sports heroes, both men and women, are a fun group of characters. This was especially interesting as the story advocated a woman find herself and her career before marrying another sports figure.

First of all, I want to say that I really enjoyed reading this. I am not a huge sports watcher, but I absolutely LOVE reading about pro athletes! What I did like about this book is that it also focused on a female athlete, as well, and how hard she works to be at the top in her sport.
So, we have Jake and Lexi who meet at a party that kicks off their senior year in college. Jake has previously been sort of a man-whore, but he has decided to change his ways and buckle down in his last year. When I was thinking back on this book, I decided that I liked that he made this decision before meeting Lexi, as opposed to trying to change specifically FOR her - because we all know how that can turn out. Lexi, however, is very predisposed to not like Jake due to his prior reputation. Unlike him, she has worked really hard all during college to keep her scholarship and make a name for herself in softball. She's done a really good job at it, too, as the book mentions how she has broken several records.
Jake soon wears Lexi down, and they become sort of the "golden couple" around campus. Lexi makes a point of saying that, after a few hick-ups, girls basically seem to leave Jake alone and not hit on him anymore. I actually have a really hard time believing this. I hate to be the girl that says something negative about girls, but I went to a well known football college, and girls don't stop chasing after the guy. Good for Lexi and Jake, though, I guess. They are actually really good for each other in a lot of ways - she really pushes him to work out harder and more consistently, as his last football season ends well. He makes her start to realize that she needs to open up about her past and trust people in her life. This is not to say that they don't have some hick-ups, though, because they certainly do. They always come down to not communicating. At this point, I will mention how much Lexi started to drive me crazy.
Lexi first comes off as a really strong, driven female. She slowly seems to devolve into this pile of emotional mush, though. Don't get me wrong - it sounds like she was incredibly focused during high school and college, on top of finding out that her father has become an abusive alcoholic since leaving home, so she is probably due to have her adolescent/young adult melt down. Female characters that constantly run away just bother me. A lot of the people that are close to Lexi and Jake start to express concerns to them, though, that she is just "riding his coattails". Jake does start to achieve a lot of his dreams, and those achievements start to over-ride Lexi's. There was one point where my heart literally broke for her because she had some spotlight seriously stolen from her!
Overall, this is a great story about two people that come together and really have to learn how to make a relationship work and accommodate two different lives. I've read through some of the other reviews, and I do agree on some of the things that were mentioned - I got tired of reading about Lexi's "messy bun" and "big tits". I also think that she became somewhat inconsistent in her character towards the end. She didn't respect her mother for the majority of the book, and then she all of a sudden is best friends with her mother and listening to her advice? I don't know. Another thing that was confusing was when the POV would switch without any warning. I like having multiple POV's in a book, especially because it helps me to prepare for any additional spin-off books, but it would be good to have that switch designated. I can't wait for the next book, though. I have a bad feeling about Brooke...

This was a very enjoyable read and I loved Jake and Lexi and all their crazy friends.
Lexi is a senior in college and after being persuaded by her best friend Parker to live a little this year, and she ends up at the football party. She never expected Jake to approach her, and her reaction to him was something Jake has never experienced by a girl before.
Lexi is a spit fire, and Jake is drawn to her. He is trying to change his ways from the past 3 years as well, and getting Lexi to see this is definitely difficult for him. When he makes a bet with her to go on a date, he knew what he was doing, and Lexi didn't think it through before agreeing. What happens next is a crazy and bumpy relationship between these two dedicated and passionate people.
Lexi does get wrapped up in Jake a little too much and seems to forget herself along the way. Though her friends and everyone try to tell her, she doesn't listen until it's abundantly clear to her what has been going on.
Lexi and Jake seem to fight more than anyone I've seen, and their fights can get ugly, but they always end in an amazing way. The chemistry and passion between these two is off the charts, I just wish they would have been a lot more open with one another. Jake seems to be very open on his feelings for Lexi, but she holds back a lot.
I loved the dynamic of this relationship, as well as the dynamic of Margo, Mason, and Parker playing huge parts in Lexi and Jake's story. I was rooting for these two throughout the whole book, and everyone else seemed to be on board with Lexi and Jake being together, except Lexi. This is the part that annoyed me with the book. She was hot and cold with him, and I really felt bad for Jake.
My heart broke for Jake during this book, he had changed so much in this story and for Lexi to treat him the way she did towards the end broke me, but I'm glad things worked out for these two. I understand they both had to find their way and who they were, but when they are together they are perfect, not sure why Lexi couldn't figure this out a lot sooner.

I love a bad boy turned good guy, and a drama filled relationship. Lexi and Jake's story is amazing and I can't wait to read Mason's story next! The story of softball player Lexie and football hero Jake. Lex doesn’t go out. She is totally focused on getting her grades and playing softball. A chance exception sees her attend a football party and meet Jake. He’s too much of a cocky football player for Lexie’s liking, but he pursues her and she caves in. I really loved this part of the story.
Then at the 50% mark the story progresses to their relationship. Sigh. Too much shouting, crying and screaming for my tastes. The angst focuses on Lex feeling that she is becoming too dependent on Jake. It’s an admirable theme but is just went on and on. One minute Lex is in love and talking about how hot Jake is, the next she’s angry and pushing him away. She was a yoyo!
The stripper scene was the last straw for me. Lexie started out being so aspirational. She’s as athletic as Jake. I loved that. She’s amazing at sports too. Great! She’s firey and doesn’t take no shit.

Well suddenly she’s following Jake around and ditching fantastic job offers and thoughts of working at all really. The dream of staying at home ‘relaxing’ and having dinner on the table every night ‘sounds like heaven’, she thinks dreamily...
Oh it all just started to piss me off.

The author did a sort of better job at focusing on one couple per book there were still three couples but I made sure my focus was on Lexi and Jake. I had wished the author would state after each chapter what couple/point of view we were reading though. Lexi has a temper and when Jake does something wrong she's not afraid to let him know, "I'm not jealous, I'm humiliated. The minute that leggy blonde came in and said hello to our, you practically spent the rest of the night drooling all over her. Lexi is a blonde haired hot beauty, that happens to be an amazing softball player. Softball has been Lexi's main focus over the past 4 years, but now that her college days are coming to an end she has no idea what she wants to do with her life. Jake is a smoking hot quarterback that has women falling at his feet. Jake has a bright future in the NFL, but she wants to share that future with Lexi. I will say that I think Lexi is kind of a bitch to Jake a lot of the time but when she is not she pours herself into showing Jake how much she loves him. Lexi's past is holding her back from taking the plug with Jake. Their relationship is an emotional roller coaster, and you will not want to put this book down. As their college days come to and end so does their relationship. Now we all know they love each other but will they find their way back to each other is the question. Some hot sex scenes. I really really loved Jake! He is one of the most loving,sweet, sexy, protective, hot, patient, ans sensitive men ever. I loved every single thing about him. I really loved how he and Lexi had so much in common. They were both extremely dedicated and driven. The banter between these two in the beginning was hilarious. I liked Lexi on the beginning but I have to admit she was a selfish, rude, insensitive, girl 99% of the time. She was so horrible to Jake sometimes. What was she thinking? I hate that I feel that way but I almost think he could have found someone who didn't always run away and break his heart. Ugh! I loved this book though. Please don't misunderstand. I'm happy they git their happy ending with both of them with great careers. But I was mostly just happy because Jake was finally happy and got what he so desperately wanted.
