Having read the Nick Bracco series, I didn't know what to expect with this one. When I first started it, I didn't believe that I would finish it, but I kept reading, it grew on me. The story leads into a battle of good and evil. Bryant was recovering from the death of his wife and daughter who were killed in a drunk driving accident. Bryant was looking to escape his current environment. Because of his field of psychiatry he spent a lot of time with teenagers. In this story Margo, a teenager who survived a plane crash where she was the only survivor, believed that aliens talked to her. This cause a lot of discomfort in the town. In addition, there was a person from a Federal Agency who wanted to kill her.

Bryant ultimately became involved in the case and wound up attempting to keep her safe. During these travels, Margo wound up in a hospital after an encountering. Bryant and Margo left the hospital, but because tracking devices were hidden on Margo, the individual who wanted her killed was easily able to locate her. Even as Bryant traveled to Phoenix, they were still followed and addition attempts were made against Margo. Through it all, Bryant's friends Father Joe, Sully and a police detective provided needed assistance.

The symbolism that Father Joe mentioned relates to entries in the Bible. One reviewer thought that there was too much religion, but It flowed easily through the book. To find out why Margo had this Federal person looking for her, how Bryant's emotions were effected and how this all worked out for everyone, then you must read this book.

Loved this!

This was certainly a different read. Engrossing to say the least. This author can write in such a way you start forming images right from the beginning.

Is she an alien? a clairvoyant? a girl with special powers? Can Dr. Bryant save her? Can she save him? I enjoyed this book. As usual, Gary Ponzo creates characters to care about. There were a some editing errors, but they weren't too distracting.
