"Your Inner An Introductory Course on Human Metabolism" explains the science behind the way our bodies process food. Written by Dr. Jane Vanderkooi, professor emeritus at the University of Pennsylvania, the book offers a conversational, easy-to-understand breakdown of the human metabolism. With students and other newcomers in mind, the text presents the material so that it can be easily understood without a background in chemistry.
Jane Vanderkooi, PhD., is a graduate of Central College and St. Louis University.
