Death From Above

Rate this book
Long before the pandaren rebellion, mantid and mogu clashed along the Serpent's Spine. Mantid swarms are predictable, after all ... but the actions of Paragons are anything but. Featuring the story of Kil'ruk the Wind-Reaver, the epilogue for this piece takes place during Mists of Pandaria.

Not an amazing story, not even a really interesting one, not even one with your favorite character from the lore of Warcraft, it's one for some lesser known characters, namely the Klaxxi if you've seen them/killed them. I think you're not going to like this one if you don't know what you're reading about, and even then it pretty much falls flat in most aspects about the story and its characters.

I liked the main character but then he had to go ahead and repeat himself and always sounded like he was the epitome of redemption and savior of his people and whatnot. That was truly bad to read again and again and how he had to go through shit to get where he was and all that. So, that sucked.

Mediocre at best and a story that doesn't make any difference lore-wise if you read it or not.

Warcraft novella about the Klaxxi, an in-game faction of a giant insectoid NPC mantid race. I like the Klaxxi, they're probably one of my favourite parts of MoP. Like the other Warcraft stories, if you don't play WoW you won't be interested and if you do then you know these books aren't literature and aren't meant to be, they just drive the lore. This does that adequately.

The will of the Klaxxi is eternal.

Well-written short story about a period of Mantid vs. Mogu wars.

I would much prefer a full length book of what happened with Kil'ruk because after finishing it I feel like I need to know more!

Decent short story about two of the lesser known races in the Warcraft universe.

This novella gives background into the Mantid vs Mogo conflict. The bulk of the story takes place millennia before World of Warcraft. The epilogue takes place during the Mists of Pandaria expansion.

This book provides interesting background information about the aerial battles between the mantid and the mogu. The action sequences are fine, yet the story develops in a foreseeable manner while the characters remain unremarkable, and the experience feels more like an introduction to a larger narrative.

This was a short but interesting read. It tells the story of the mantid's war with the mogu that occurs every hundred years and explains the mantid cycle and what they do to preserve it.

An interesting read about the Klaxxi race, explaining the 100 year cycle and their war versus the Mogu. A very cool protagonist that evolves a lot throughout the book.
