Ultimately, Alexia must decide what’s more important to her—keeping her phantom boyfriend or helping him finally find peace in death. What she didn’t plan on was not having a choice. One of them must move on, but what if neither wants to let go?

What happens when you find the one that makes you happy and know you can never be with them?

Ok so I just finished Won’t Let Go and I’m crying my eyes out. The endings of books are always the worst/best. And I swear there is going to be another one…..or am I the only one that got that vibe, if so I’m going to cry some more. Anyways now onto the actual story.

When I first started reading the book it was a little slow, but that was because Alexia and her family just arrived at their new place. I was intrigued how Mrs. Olive was going to do the whole ghost thing and I wasn’t disappointed. I haven’t read a lot of ghost stories, but I really enjoyed this one. It was part mystery and romance…. Well I love a good mystery and this one had it. What really happened to Embry? Who knows something their not telling? Gosh I love trying to figure these things out. To bad I’m not a very good detective lol I thought I knew who did it, but I was wrong until the end. I had some points where Alexia grated on my nerves but I’ll talk about her in a bit. The story was believable and something like that could happen….ok maybe not a real life ghost (but I swear I saw my grandmother’s mom once. Freaked me out). Now the romance it was sweet but happened to fast. They’ve only known each other …what a week or 2 and they instantly love each other…no love isn’t said, but I think it’s implied. I still thought their interactions were cute though, they did make a nice pair. It would have been better also if he had his memories…or maybe it wouldn’t, you’d have to read the book. I’m still holding out hope that there is going be another one. I mean what happens to Alexia? And Allison? And just everyone, only time will tell. *sigh*

Overall: A light and fun ghost story filled with lies, deceit, and romance.

Alexia: I didn’t warm up to her right away. She was just waaaay to judgmental for my taste. She toned it down after a while though. I really commend her for helping Embry our, not many people would do that. They’d probably just call ghost busters…anybody…no, ok then. Lol By the end of the story I felt her pain. I just wanted to hug her.

Embry: I don’t really know what to say about him. Do I talk about his ghost self or real self? I’ll talk about his ghost, or spirit how he puts it. He was an angry mess when we first met him. That could have been because of Alexia moving in his room. Ok that is why. He has amnesia and can’t remember anything. He is a really sweet guy and I smile every time he said something sweet or gave Alexia a look. I wanted what was best for him, but I also wanted him to be with Alexia. UGH life is so complicated sometimes lol

This was a fresh read for me, something new and exciting. It's a ghost story, but it has romance and action. It's written perfectly. I connected with the main character, Alexia instantly. The writer did her justice and made her act like a real teenager. I had a problem lately, all the books I've read with teenager they weren't like they're age, they always made me feel like they were 25 not 17 years old. Anyway, Alexia is a stubborn girl. She and her family just moved to another city to start a fresh life so Alexia could make some new, more calmer and nicer friends. She had some troubles back home and her parents insisted she could do better. When she sees the new house, all her body screams spooky. From the first time she entered her new room she saw a ghost. How could that be? Ghost's aren't real at all. But it was a real and it was a gorgeous boy that needed her more than he could ever possible imagine. They both needed each other.

Like I said, it was something different and I liked it. The story flew well and it kept me interested the entire time. I loved it! I could sense and see how the characters were evolving and I loved the feeling. It really was a great read. I highly recommend this book! It deserves the best readers!

Just writing my review makes me smile and cry at the same time. I know i know, it's crazy. There's just too much feels in this one. Too much.

This is my first ghost story. My love for the movie 'Just like Heaven' made this book look interesting to me. But wow!! This book surprised me and I loved it more that I thought I would. This is very well written with enough twists and turns and interesting plot. I love how connected I am to Alexia. She's a very likeable character. While Oakley on the other hand is very mysterious. I was intrigued and I found myself itching to know his back story.

I won't give much details now because I WANT YOU TO READ IT. The last few pages made me at the edge of my seat because of the action scenes. And of course there's the ending. Ah, the ending. To be honest.. now that I'm writing my review, I'm still thinking of the ending. It's not that I don't like it but I'm not completely satisfied with it either. Though I have to give Ms. Oliver a high five for ending it the way it should.

This is a series and I can't wait for the next books. I'll sure be waiting. I recommend this!!

Alexia is not happy about moving to a new home and leaving her friends behind. When she enters her bedroom for the first time, she's stunned to find a handsome ghost standing in the middle of her room. Alexia doesn't believe in ghosts but is forced to change her mind when the ghost keeps on re-appearing. The ghost has amnesia and has no idea who he is or why he's there. Alexia helps him uncover the mystery and in the process they fall for each other.

This story is full of twists and turns. A certain person did some terrible things which caused more than one innocent person to suffer. It will tug at your heartstrings. I have mixed feelings about the ending. In some ways it made me happy, but it was also very sad.

I recommend this to anyone who enjoys a sweet and mysterious paranormal romance.

Won’t Let Go grabbed my interest from the beginning, especially since I could relate to Alexia. My family moved when I was in high school and I remember how difficult that was. In fact, as I read, I thought I wish I’d handled it as well as she did.

Avery Olive is good at writing about Alexia’s feelings. Alexia, understandably, falls quickly for her ghostboy who is pretty much perfect for a teenage boy.

I really liked most of Won’t Let Go. When it got close to the end, however, it took a strange turn. How Alexia found out about what happened to Embrey didn’t seem to fit in this story, but that’s just my personal preference. I did feel the ending was good.

I recommend Won’t Let Go to anyone who likes a good young adult story, especially if you like a touch of paranormal.

When Alexia Stone found a ghost/ spirit in her bedroom, she figured she might send him/it on his way. The only way to do it without sounding crazy is to help him/it find out the unfinished business.
What Alexia was not counting on, is having feelings for an entity.

The story is easy, short. The theme is common, yet people have unlimited ways to telling it. Alexia's story is unique on its own, I appreciate that.

As Alexia tries to solve the mystery, she stumbles into something more dangerous than finding answers for a spirit.
Read the book to find out, I hope that it is as entertaining for you as it is for me. I did like the book for a few reasons:
1. Relatively quick paced
2. Characters are relatable and good solid personalities
3. A good motive, not some lame excuse
4. Ending was quite good despite it being expected (I am hard to surprise)

I'm posting this review so late I know.. I was have to posted so earlier but I haven't found a word for review.. I still haven't. I kind of like the story. I like Alexia. She's scared first but helped a lot anyway. I couldn't understand her parents. They are just.. you know carefree?

Seeing a handsome ghost is different. Alexia needs a escape and The boy want help so like puzzle they fit each other I think. I still confused about the book but a voice inside me tells 4 Star.

Won't Let Go reminded me like a more mature Casper. Except the more she learns about "Oakley" the more she starts to realize that all though he may be a friendly ghost, he might not have been that friendly of a person while he was alive. A cute little paranormal romance. Easy read and enjoyable but doesn't stand out.

I was a huge fan of A Stiff Kiss, so I was excited to pick up Won't Let Goat a conference both Avery and I attended this summer.

Avery's Young Adult voice and past paced action didn't disappoint, leading the reader on a tragic romantic path - that through humor - makes it seem less tragic.

For those who think they've read it all in paranormal romance - don't pass this one over. Olive writes about ghosts and the afterlife in a fresh, relevant way that will make you forget all about vampires! Her subject is morbid, to be sure - but she writes about tough subjects with an uplifting youthful perspective that reminds me why I read (and write) YA.

When I started reading this book, I thought it was promising, even if it needed a little extra polish. Through the beginning of the book, my rating was firmly planted at 2.5 stars, then towards the middle it bumped up to 3 stars. Unfortunately the ending left me feeling that this book only deserved 2 stars.

That ending irked me, and I felt like I wish I didn't spend the several hours reading this book. It also required more editing, and some of the sentence structure was lacking. Misused phrases were also smattered throughout.

Won't Let Go had such potential, and I feel it sorely fell short.
