“207: A Personal Account of Love Paranormal Phenomenon and Demonic Possession,” is a true story based on a series of terrifying events having occurred in the Author’s life while living in Upstate New York. Recounting the horrific experiences that took place from 1988 through 1989, she shares an emotional and horrifying journey that sadly ended in tragedy, forever changing her life, and strengthening her spirituality.
An engrossing, scary story that desperately needs to have a second edition. The grammar mistakes, misspellings and bad word usage kept knocking me out of the text.
If the accounts are true, this author brought this debacle down by her own inability to be true to herself. As a student she didn't wish to interact with Jim. As a wife she let others make decisions for her own well-being and safety. Claiming to be a Catholic she participated in divination. She loved a broken sick alcoholic and has blamed everyone but herself for the resultant swill which was her life. So many options she could have employed to actually help her family she chose to do nothing. There isn't anything mystical about being a drunk. Go to any open AA meeting, go to Alanon for your self. Don't say, "The devil made him do it". Take responsibility for your life.
Words cannot describe the emotions I felt while reading this book. The author was amazing in conveying her storing. Every detail described was magnificent, I felt her experience as if I was there. I too grew up in Watervliet, NY. Amongst the hustle and bustle of 19th st it never did sit well with me and I always had an “off” feeling as I walked by. Also growing up in a family of clairvoyants, that feeling of bad energy can rock you to your core. I commend you for sharing your story. Although difficult, I hope you can find peace knowing that this is no longer a weight on your shoulders and that you have shared this useful knowledge with the world.
Simply put I feel this author keeps on writing when enough has been said.
It took a long time for me to get into this book and I kept wondering when the haunting was going to start. Quite honestly the haunting is so low key there isn't much to it and what there is could have been written in a much shorter book to keep it interesting. I feel like this was more of a domestic abuse book then a haunting though I understand it's to convey the possession. I could have done without the author's constant need to inform us of her abilities. She mentions in the end exploring some more of this in another book but it is not one I will seek out to read.
Fascinating read. At times I couldn't put it down. I can't wait for the next book. There are 3 suicides associated with this property as written about in this book, but according to the author as stated in an interview, there are at least 17 suicides associated with this property. That's an astounding amount. The author has been doing more research on the history of this property, so I hope she writes about her findings in her next book.
I cannot get these horrifying images out of my mind of the real story the writer told. I don't think I would have waited for the tragedy to happen before I packed my bags and gotten out of that place of evil. I'm looking forward to her next book which promises to tell more of the history of the house and neighborhood.
I became interested in reading this book because it happened locally. I remember the house very well when it still stood on 19th Street in Watervliet. I had a bit of trouble getting into the book at first, but as the story progressed I could not put it down. The story is terrifying and heartbreaking to read. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel!
Interesting book written by a woman whose husband becomes possessed by a demon. I have to say very sad what she and her son have endured. Anxious to read her sequel to this book.
Damn scary story. As a para-enthusiast I follow many radio programs and heard the author speak on a few shows. This book describes the author's encounters after moving into an old house with a problem. I found the author to be candid and open, even empowering. My buddies investigate and talk about cases like this that are shadowed by domestic violence and alcohol and drug use. That is how the negative and dark forces enter a body and take over. Nothing to fool around with. This story was raw, real and approached openly. I continue to recommend this, and her second book which digs into the history of the property she lived. I read this book in a short period of time. Couldn't put it down.
