Protest Song received its world premiere in the National Theatre's Shed Theatre on 16 December 2013.

I'm sure that with Rhys Ifans doing this one-man monologue in its premiere production, it played like gangbusters - but on the page it's just .... OK. It's currently being revived in the UK, and reviews have been mixed (see below). Not being well-versed in the UK Occupy movement of 2011, little of this resonated with me, although the issues raised are certainly prevalent here in the US also.
