About the author

Lawrence Kelter is the bestselling author of the Stephanie Chalice Mystery Series. A resident New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn and residing on Long Island. He often uses Manhattan and Long Island as backdrops for his stories. He is the author of three novels featuring street savvy NYPD detective, Stephanie Chalice: Don't Close Your Eyes, Ransom Beach, and most recently, The Brain Vault. Early in his career, he received direction from bestselling novelist Nelson DeMille, who put pencil to paper to assist in the editing of his first book. He was also a member of a private writing workshop led by the late soap opera legend and AFTRA president, Ann Loring. His novels are quickly paced and routinely have a twist ending.

A collection of the 1st 3 Stephanie Chalice suspense/mysteries.
Strong woman character leads the series. Young detective in NYPD, hardcore, easily underestimated but has made a name for herself and supposedly the support and respect of her colleagues. Seems to have a insight and gut feel that has never steered her wrong. All stories are in depth , intertwined with a not entirely unpredictable twist at the end. This makes the stories fun and not too rote.
Dont Close your eyes- tracking a serial killer who seems to be leaving gruesome love letters for Stephanie.
Introduces her entourage Partner in more ways than one Gus Lido, FBI Agent father figure Herb Ambler , Psychologist Nigel Twain.
As she and this entourage investigate they find a very sick individual but then find a unknown connection with Stephanies history.....
Ransom Beach Herb brings Stephanie and Gus in on a high profile kidnapping
Brain Vault Stephanie stumbles on to an escaped kidnap victim with the skull of another victim related to another high profile kidnapping.

It is more guilty pleasure than well written drama but it is enjoyable and there is enough suspense and intrigue to keep you interested.

DON’T CLOSE YOUR EYES
Deadly psychopath is on the loose, Stephanie is a smart, determined Cop to figure out the clues, and stop him. There are unusual characters, and enough twists, to make a good plot.
