King #1-4

The Complete King Series

Rate this book
The King Quartet in one perfect set! Every gift has consequences . . . FEARLESS Let's get this out of the way I can hear minds. And yes, that's about as much fun as it sounds. As long as I can remember, I've been the loner, the crazy girl who answers words that no one has spoken out loud. It doesn't help that I'm the perennial new kid in town, too; my family moves around so much that I'm constantly learning how to tune out a fresh set of voices. But then we move to King, Florida. It doesn't take me long to realize that this town is different. King was founded by magic and steeped in mystery, and I'd be intrigued if I wasn't worried about surviving. Ms. Lacusta, the science teacher, leads some weird exclusive club of girls, and she's trying to recruit me. That doesn't sit well with Nell Massler, the ultimate mean girl whose extracurricular activities include blood rituals. And mine is the blood she wants next. Entangled in a web of first love, quirky and secretive townsfolk, magic and blood spells, I discover the town's secrets aren't just bizarre . . . they're deadly. BREATHLESS I am not having the senior year I wanted. First of all, my boyfriend--and the love of my life--Michael goes off to college, leaving me on my own in the mystical--and sometimes scary--town of King. I think I can take care of myself during my last year here, but it turns out there are all kinds of threats ready to prove me wrong. First, I'm being stalked by a local preacher who suspects I have supernatural gifts. (He's right.) The hot new boy at school is flirting with me like crazy. Oh, and I'm being blackmailed by my chemistry teacher--who just might be a witch. I'm going to need all of my many talents--and a little help from unexpected sources--just to keep my head above water. . .literally. RESTLESS Aside from the fact that I can hear other people's thoughts, I used to be a fairly boring girl. But then I moved to King, Florida . . . and everything in my life went crazy. When I agreed to allow Ms. Lacusta to help me develop my powers, I had no idea how deep and dark the journey would become. Trapped between fascination and fear, I end up moving farther away from my friends and family, even from my boyfriend, Michael. Leading a double life forces me into decisions that will threaten my sanity and my future... and the very lives of those I love. ENDLESS After the insanity that was my senior year in high school, my life is back to what passes for normal. No witches are trying to kill me. No preachers are threatening to drown me. I'm away at college with my boyfriend, and I'm learning to control my powers. Everything is finally perfect . . . until it isn't. When my new part-time job leads to more than I bargained for, I'm thrown into a deadly fight against forces of evil that I didn't even know existed. Mastering my extraordinary gifts--and drawing on the strength of an endless love--may be the only weapons that can guarantee my happily-ever-after. Save Tomorrow is a series of paranormal romances that begins in the small town of King, Florida, winds through the Serendipity and Recipe for Death books, and finally culminates in Age of Aquarius, the inevitable showdown that ties all the characters together in a fight to stop the ultimate evil.

Fearless: Wow this was a good read. It's got a little supernatural, a little romance, and a little action. Tasmyn can read minds, but what I loved the most was how she and Michael found each other. Right off the jump he knew she was the one for him. Now that's love."

Breathless: Wow! Another good read. Tasmyn again almost got exposed and this time, was almost drowned. I'm glad she was able to get out of that predicament. But what about Marica the Chem. teacher? Is she friend or foe? I'm still undecided at the moment. Two more books to go. Lets see."

Restless: OMG!!! Idk, IDK!!! I thought for a moment there Tasmyn was going over to the dark side. But what's going to become of Nell? She risked her life to save Tasmyn. Will she ever wake up?? Will she still be committed if she does? Will Rafe ever be able to get over Tasmyn and find a love of his own? Find out next on Dragon Ball Z....(I think only anime fans will understand that. LOL)"

Endless: The choices Tasmyn had to make to finially help her come to the conclusion that, you just can't help everyone. Sometimes though the outcome may seem bad you just hope and pray things will come out for the best. I was hoping to hear more about Nell and if she would ever wake up. I have a good feeling that her and Tasmyn may be good friends. This was a very entertaining series. I enjoyed every book, and wish I had the next series where all of them come back and meet again. That's ok I'll be keeping my eye out for it. (less)

One of the things I most enjoyed about reading this series was its mature tone. Although we’re reading about HS age and young college age characters, you still feel a connection to them and an empathy for what they are feeling, even with the paranormal aspect to what they are experiencing. The characters virtually come alive on each page as you become completely involved in their lives. It’s very easy to find yourself totally immersed in the narrative of these well-written and fast-paced tales. The romance is filled with strong heart-felt moments and the drama is filled with some angst, dark suspense, and intense emotion. You may find reading this similar to a roller coaster ride with its ups and downs and twists and turns, the excitement and anticipation keeping you fully engaged from beginning to end. Overall, these have been captivating stories with well-drawn characters and engaging storylines. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this whole series.

Riveting

This was another series that I couldn't put down. It kept me guessing. I even talked to the characters as of they could hear me. It was that good. I loved Tasmin & Michael's romance. Although I felt her & Rafe could be a good match too. All in all I really got into it & felt like I was part of the story. Great writing by Tawdra Kandle. I won't hesitate to read her other books. Thanks Tawdra for a great series.

Good YA fantasy series

I read this series over the course of about 2 weeks. Very good characters with some interesting abilities that develop over the years this story goes thru. This is G rated for those that are interested in that.

Unusual

This boxed set was one of the best that I've had the pleasure of reading. The storyline was believable and based on fact with some of the pertinent names and locations changed to protect those still living.

I will definitely read others by this offer.

OK for teenage fantasy

If you can get past all the typos, missing words, and questionable grammar it's a fairly descent fantasy for teens. More mature audience might find it mundane or not truly believable.

Wonderful

Tags and Michael are just the perfect couple to fall in love with. I cried and asked Tas what the check she was thinking during restless, good thing she got herself straight, even if it was the incident with Amber that made her think things through properly.

The first was good. The second and so on were more difficult because it was like reading the same book over and over.

The characters were easy to fall in love with and follow, along with the story. the author made the mental visions so easy and vivid of the surroundings and the characters actions felt so real.

Definitely Young Adult

Very surprising throughout. Unfortunately, there were a few more editing and spelling issues than I would have liked. It almost seemed like the end of the book was rushed. I have read The One Trilogy. Those books made me buy this series without any real thought and no hesitation. If you are looking for a mystical, young adult, love story, this book is definitely for you.

This is a really good YA series. There are parts between the two main characters that were a little unbelievable to me - like how fast they fell in love - but it's high school so I guess it was possible. I liked the heroine and felt that she matured throughout the series and enjoyed watching the two main characters grow together.

****Great Series ****

Great series! Loved the injection of the paranormal in with the normal. These are total page turners and even when it is all done I still want more.
