The follow up to Alan Titchmarsh's tv series, "How to be a Gardener, secrets of success" book 2, which I bought for my dad in Christmas 2003. As I said in the review for book 1, I don't know why I bought these books for my gardener father but I thought he might like the pictures, all full colour!

This one builds up on all the hard work you've probably done by now in book 1. Here Alan sets out to help you with sorting out what sort of garden you want first, then helping you to design it. He also helps you to sort out what sort of patio you want and then design and lay down and make the decking. He takes you through container gardening, beds and borders, climbing plants. All in all everything you needed to know in his two book series of "How to be a Gardener".

This is one of several of his numerous gardening books which my mum brought down from the loft for me, never to be his green fingered daughter, but the black fingered one who couldn't tell one plant from another and whose veggies refused to grow. However I can spell any plant name you care to mention.
