I first must confess I haven't read any of the original books or the first graphic novel in this series.

However, I found this to be a great graphic novel, that is both fun and silly and at the same time very literate and self-aware. It includes lots of meta references poking fun at itself and the genre. It also contains lots of intertextual and pop culture references ( e.g. Jaws, J'accuse, Lord of the Rings, 2001 etc.) that sophisticated readers will enjoy spotting.

The plot revolves around a self-aware computer who becomes annoyed he is not getting credit for the dastardly schemes he provides for various villains. So he becomes a super-villain himself, and it is up to our heroes to defeat him.

Now, Jack, June, Quint, and Dirk’s sequel has our superheroes in a chaotic, puzzle-filled race across Apocalyptia to stop the evil super-villain, How will they defeat the never-ending stream of villains and figure out who is behind the chaos? And will the sequel be finished in time? Join them and find out!

The Last Comics on Earth are at a deadline they forgot about....so they race to come up with a story to complete a book in hours. And they run into too many villains. They travel in apocalyptic worlds facing crazy challenges as they try to stop the wild clown from throwing pies at the moon and forever changing Earth habitat...they must save the planet....but they have a hard time staying focused on that plan. So much craziness happens it's hard to keep up with it all. It's a fun fast journey.

I continue to enjoy reading the Last Kids on Earth Graphic Novels and am always excited to see a new one coming out and take a quick break from my other reading to devour another book. It is too bad my kids don't appreciate them like I do but I am glad for my intro to them during battle of the books when the first one was just out.

This sequel lived up to the desire to be bigger, better, and even wackier. Each page is jam-packed with
illustrations that teem with imagination. I loved flipping through each page and spotting gags or pop culture references. By reading this, you can tell the authors and illustrators had a field day whipping up this book. What a fun read that inspires me to make comics!

I loved this book so much and every page has its own surprise, much like the rest of the books the last kids/comics on earth. I’ve always loved this series so much and am ready for more in the future!

It was good for a kids book. It was more disappointing that Mario didn't want it when I offered it to him. Now I have an extra kids book.

The book was decent. It had some good jokes, but overall kind of hard to follow.
