“AND NOW, BECAUSE OF LOVE, I’M GOING TO LOSE EVERYTHING.”
Things are coming to a head between the empress, the emperor, and his mistress. Rashta’s secret has been found out, Navier must scramble to save her brother from banishment, and with all the pieces in place, Sovieshu finally readies his opening gambit. The plan? File to divorce Navier! But Heinrey is making moves to capture his queen, and if Sovieshu isn’t careful, he might just end up in checkmate…
You know what!? I adore this series, but I LOATHEEEEE the Emperor and this volume heavily focused in on his ain't shit actions. What a horrid horrid man. I don't know if I've held this much dislike for a character in my entire life. What a wild story! What an amazing installment. Please let this be your sign to pick up this series.
Yes, we're getting closer to the end, and I just need to know what's going to happen next! So excited, and I devoured all 67 episodes that were live when I started reading them in basically one sitting! Such an intriguing read!
This volume was infuriating just as much as the last volume simply because of the focus on the Emperor and how much of a low-life, piece of garbage this man is. UGHHHHHHHH!! (Excuse me while I refuse to rip out my hair due to this man because he doesn't deserve the time of day!)
I forgot how calculating he was about the divorce and how he knew EXACTLY what he was doing. He didn't think of Navier in any of his decisions and really just stomped all over her feelings without a care. I knew that from when I read the series on WebToons, but it was just as angering as it was then as it is now. I would even say more so now because of things I know from reading the latest chapters.
Not only that though, THE AUDACITY OF THIS MAN!! Him being like "I'll be divorced to Navier for a year and then bring her back as empress." You really think she is going to WANT to come back to you?! You're just using her as a pawn!! Grrrrr...
Moving on from that piece of dirt though, I LOVED seeing Heinrey again!! He loves Navier so so so much and thankful that she has someone like him who wants her and ONLY her. He's not going to turn her away or choose some other woman over her because he cares so deeply for her. *sobs* Thankful we were able to see him again!
My heart continues to break so much for Navier because she is so strong and is hurting so much. She needs a longggg hug and then some special time with Heinrey! LOL! Always rooting for her happiness and feel that was especially true in this volume because of how she found out about what the Emperor plans to do.
Trashta had a good amount of page time but I was so mad with the Emperor's actions that she felt almost unnoticeable. Ha!
Overall, this was another fantastic volume that had me super angry but also super happy for certain moments that are boldly hinting at change coming!
Volume 5: Episode 59-71 Oh, man! The angst on this volume is SO TASTY! Now that Empress Navier is starting to fight back, everything is heating up. Finally, my ship is SAILING!!! I kept screaming like a school girl. 🤣 Our Heinrey's unrequited love is about to be reciprocated and he's so adorable the way he lit up and blushed with happiness when Navier agreed! As they always say, one man's trash is another man's treasure. I can't wait for their rebound marriage! ❤
King Heinrey is looking FINE , I would gladly submit to his wishes . He is so adorable , giggling about spending time with Navier and wearing matching clothes . Golden retriever indeed .
Def the most pleasing episodes yet , I was so uncomposed and excited . laughter once she agreed to be his queen , his queen ! When Sovieshu first said he was going to divorce the empress I was like what ! Then it sank in and my tone definitely changed . The smartest thing his foolishness has ever done ( well for us , not himself ofcrs ) . The divorce episode is close you guys !

After finishing volume 4, I just KNEW that this volume was gonna have all the drama - and I was not disappointed!
Rashta's secrets are coming out!! Sov is finally petitioning for divorce!!! Navi agreed to become Heinrey's Queen!!!! I AM LIVING FOR THE DRAMA! If only I didn't have to suffer for volume 6 to release...

¡Ese cliffhanger! ¿Cómo me dejan así? Estoy a cinco episodios del divorcio, how you dare? I DON'T NEED TO SLEEP, I NEED ANSWERS. R.I.P. me.

I'm catching up on this comic via Webtoon. Although it took me a moment to care for the plot, the utterly stunning art held my attention until I was totally ensnared.
I do quite like this series, mainly for Navier, although I honestly don't understand why Sovieshu doesn't just... tell her the plan. In any case, I'll keep reading it.
In Summary It’s the moment Navier x Heinrey fans have been waiting for… she finally agrees to be his! But only because she’s discovered her husband’s plans to divorce her in order to crown his mistress. The Emperor sinks to new lows in this volume, exiling Navier’s brother, then pinning him as a scapegoat to cover up his own botched attempt to pass Rashta off as nobility. He is definitely looking like the bad guy as we steadily approach the divorce scene in the series opener. The Review And… Rashta’s secret is out. Both the Empress and Emperor learn about her hidden child, though neither spouse is aware the other knows about it. Unfortunately, the one to suffer for it is Navier’s brother, who is arrested and promptly exiled. Rashta, on the other hand, maintains her position in the palace. For now.
If you didn’t despise Sovieshu before, you will now as he initiates a scheme to divorce Navier, make Rashta empress for a year (to legitimize their baby), then reinstate Navier as empress. Aside from the fact it’s so outrageous that his assistant begs him to reconsider, the Emperor clearly has no regard for either woman. Especially since he’s keeping the full extent of his plan a secret from both.
However, Navier catches wind of Sovieshu’s plan – but only the divorce her and crown Rashta empress part. Shortly after, the Empress runs into Heinrey while visiting the Wilwol magic academy. While this unplanned encounter begins like a lot of their previous interactions, this time it ends very differently.
Navier has never been anything less than upstanding in her personal and private life. No doubt if she were assured of her position as Sovieshu’s wife, she would’ve remained steadfastly faithful to him, even with his dalliances. But the very real threat of divorce has shaken her to her core. So when Heinrey lavishes her with his usual adoration and listening ear, this time she’s vulnerable. And when he innocently tells her he wishes that she could be his queen, Navier seizes upon his words.
Perhaps her actions are – as she herself describes it – calculating. But for her to consider another man under any other circumstances would be out of character. Still, the romantic tension is there, and at this point, the poor woman has been so hurt you want her to have a scrap of happiness. For his part, Heinrey is predictably ecstatic, yet that is tempered by the fact that he realizes there must be something serious behind her sudden change of heart.
Thus, things are more or less in place for the dramatic opening divorce scene in Volume 1.
Despite Sovieshu’s abominable behavior and Navier’s trampled emotions, there are funny bits. The first involves poor McKenna in an incident that looks to be his ultimate tragedy only for Duke Ergi to turn it into a comedy. The second is the Emperor’s scheme to legitimize Rashta that backfires in a very public display. It turns into such a farce that even Navier laughs and cracks a joke at it.
Another element entering the narrative is the unprecedented drop in the number of imperial mages. Magic’s come up before in terms of Heinrey’s transformation ability and the troublesome love potion. Now, however, we’re learning of the role it plays in military forces and, by association, the power each country possesses. It’s not clear how this will figure into Heinrey’s efforts to make Navier his, but given that Navier’s position as empress of another country kind of complicates things, all this talk of mages and military is likely to play a key role.

Even though this was recommended by some mangatubers and people seemed to love it a lot, I was bored while getting into the series. There were some parts that I skimmed read because the plot is not moving forward. And I felt like everything(plot, characters' intentions, development) was being told rather than showing us. I adored Navier but everything she did, she had to tell us the readers her intention. I think maybe the novel might portray these characters better. The art style is great but the clothes and the setting are too modernized. It felt out of place to me. So 2.5-3 stars for this series.
In short, the drama continues and the divorce announcement day is approaching rather quickly. I feel so bad for Navier. Her only purpose in life is to be an Empress and she is excellent at that. Without it, she doesn't have any other motive or goal in life. She does have feelings for Heinrey but obviously, she just sucks at showing that...? Lol. She is so serious all the time, almost expressionless at times.
My heart just flew out of my mouth at the cooked bird scene. Damn! I was afraid of what to think. Haha.
With the turn of many events happening in this volume I'm just excited for the end of this season.
I tried to describe the plot here to my wife, and she said that just hearing it stressed her out. I personally love it. So convoluted with feelings and politics. In this volume, we get more of Navier's feelings towards Sovieshu and Heinrey, which further humanizes her. She is such a great character. Sovieshu, however, continues to do everything wrong, which continues to color in as self-serving. The political reasons he does what he does make sense, but they also seem like thin veils over what he really wants: to have both Navier and Rashta at the same time.
