by Mareho Kikuishi, Tsubata Nozaki (Artist), Roman Lempert (Translator)

Echika’s stubborn insistence on protecting the secret of the RF Models’ Laws of Respect has driven a wedge between her and Harold. As the two partners grow more distant, it comes to light that TOSTI, the mysterious AI they’ve been investigating, may have been developed at a research city in Dubai. But when Echika is ordered to travel there on an undercover mission to search for answers, her efforts are quickly derailed. Eventually, Echika and her team get closer to unraveling the truth with the help of a local whiz kid, but something strange seems to be happening to Bigga…

Can Echika PLEASE stop getting kidnapped and needing to be saved. I was really excited for this one’s concept but it really hits you over the head with all the “hints” in this one… The author does a lot of over explaining things that are evident, more show and less tell would be appreciated. But I might be being too harsh for a YA.
