The art is AMAZING. ★★★★★
The plot...not so much. Cliched, a bit contrived, and occasionally infuriating. Like, Sooha is supposedly super powerful, yet she always seems to be excellently playing the role of the damsel in distress; always needing to be rescued. Perhaps this might change later on but for now that is not very endearing.
Also, Dardan sucks as a villain; he is a childish, possessive jerk and his character doesn't make a whole lot of sense due to shallow development and a superficial, simplistic, and idiotic backstory. It's like he's throwing a temper tantrum. Totally underwhelming.
The boys are hot though so I won't complain very much. (◕દ◕)

Emmm, quedé media decepcionada la verdad, la historia daba para mucho, MUCHO MÁS, espero que con los videoclips puedan mostrar algo mejor.
Empezó bien (? pero luego se volvió medio insoportable de leer, eso si, los dibujos deben de ser los mejores de webtoon.

I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. It's silly, yes, and vampires still aren't my thing, but by the end I realized I was invested in what happens next, which seems to me to be a very good sign.

Lo terminé, por fin.
Sí estuvo bueno, pero lo terminé realmente por compromiso y no por gusto, lo que le resta puntos para mi.
Me puse a leerlo todo de una hoy, porque no quería seguir posponiendolo.
En la recta final sentí que ya metieron demasiadas batallas, alargando más de la cuenta, ese fue uno de los motivos por los que la lectura comenzó a ser pesada para mi, podían causarles todo ese daño sin extender tanto la historia.
En general, muy bien, solo no estoy segura de que me agrade la idea de que tendrá continuación, espero que no expriman la historia hasta que la arruinen completamente.
Pd: Mi personaje favorito es Solon.

This one felt 100% like reading a fanfiction, but that’s what made me live it so much. Enhypen doesn’t get enough love. I can’t wait to see what happens with Sooha and the boys. This makes me giggle. Can’t wait for the next one.

August 3, 2024나는 이 책의 광고 타깃 아니다. 사실 난 엔하이픈 팬 아니고 로맨스 장르를 별로 안 좋아한다. 그런데 친구가 나한테 한국어를 읽기 능력을 늘리려고 이 웹툰을 같이 읽는자고 말해서 여기에 있다.
판타지 로맨스 스토리 때문에 어휘는 도움이 별로 안 될 거라는 줄 알았는데 사실은 만족스러웠다. 그리고 줄거리 속도가 너무 상대적으로 빨라서 좋았다고 생각한다. 이야기를 이해 안 가면 그 사진은 도움이 많이 된다 -- 그리고 모든 그림이 아주 이뻤다.
마지막으로 그 인물들이 상대적으로 좋다고 생각한다. 인물이랑 대화랑 상황들이 여러 번 저를 웃게 했다. 그 성 역학이 좀 짜증나게 했는데... 근데 이게 뱀파이어 웹툰이지. 솔직히 말하면 기준이 없고 놀라지 않다 (미안).
전반적으로 이 웹툰을 즐겨 읽었다.

Okay, I LOVED this!
I hardly ever read vampire stories but this one sounded very interesting, especially since there were supposed to be werewolves and I feel like werewolves are hardly ever represented in manhwa/manga, so I wanted to branch out of my typical genres I read and give it a try.
Again let me just say, I super super super enjoyed this!
Sure, it has some cliche and insta love kind of thing, but I have no qualms because the said guy Sooha seems to be in love because he is SO sweet! I am hardcore shipping them both and loved all their interactions because it was super cute and just like PLEASE LET THEM BE THE END GAME!
I feel bad because I am not familiar with HYBE or their music, but I really loved all the characters in this story! Each person was unique and had their own personality that was distinctive to them, making it easy to know who everyone was (though I feel bad because I don't remember everyone's names, just faces). Heli is hands down my favorite, but I also really like Jaan too!
Backing up a little bit though, that opening chapter was AMAZING! It was a VERY strong chapter that was extremely engaging and felt it was the perfect way to hook me on this story! My heart instantly went out to Sooha and wanted to read more of her story and see how life at the academy would be (because we all know she is definitely going to be meeting a vampire LOL). Plus, girl can totally kick butt which I am 100% here for!
I am extremely excited about the second volume and can't wait to see what happens, especially after seeing the preview panels of volume two! Like WHAT!? I have no idea what to expect but I know it will be awesome because Sooha is a fantastic heroine and the guys are all fun!

C’est la deuxième fois ce mois-ci que j’ai envie d’une lecture différente, un livre qui sort de l’ordinaire, de sortir des sentiers battus de la Romance. Cette bande dessinée est tout simplement INCROYABLE. Addictive! Sincèrement, je ne m’attendais pas à être autant entraînée dans ma lecture, je l’ai tout simplement dévorée (en à peine vingt minutes)…
Sooha a un passé difficile, bouleversant. À cause de ses dons spéciaux, elle était persécutée et on la traitait de monstre, de vampire. Les années ont passé; elle a appris à se cacher, à détester les vampires, et n’avait pas d’amis. Personne ne hait les vampires comme elle. Mais voilà sa chance de changer les choses dans une nouvelle école : l’Académie Decelis. C’est sa rencontre avec les sept frères les plus populaires de l’académie que tout change…
« C’est le lycée le plus prestigieux de Riverfield… Et il est réputé pour filtrer scrupuleusement les vampires… Ce qui signifie… QU’ON NE ME PRENDRA JAMAIS POUR UN VAMPIRE! »
Heli, en terminal à l’Académie, ne sait pas comment réagir à la suite de sa rencontre avec Sooha. Il est irrésistiblement attiré par cette jeune fille, il ne peut s’empêcher de penser à elle… tout comme ses frères, ce qui est très étrange. Elle est différente des autres, bien différente. Avec le danger qui rôde non loin, une menace bien réelle, peuvent-ils faire confiance à Sooha? Le destin les aurait-il réunis?
Cette histoire est un manhwa (nom donné à la bande dessinée en Corée) sud-coréen publié sous forme de webtoon. Un mélange intriguant d’une Dark Fantasy, Urbaine et d’une jeune Romance (adressée à un public Young Adult). Au départ, sincèrement, je n’ai pas vraiment été attirée par la couverture, elle fait très « jeune », enfantine… Toutefois, en lisant le quatrième de couverture, j’ai su que je voulais la lire, je savais que j’allais aimer ma lecture. Des couleurs vives, attirantes. Des illustrations magnifiques, fortes. Dans une chronique précédente, je vous disais que ma BD préférée était Fullmetal Alchemist… Eh bien, Dark Moon sort de l’ordinaire et SURPASSE mon préféré avec panache. J’ai adoré ma lecture!
Note : Je vous confirme que vous n’avez pas besoin d’avoir écouté sa WebToon pour bien comprendre et aimer cette lecture. Je ne vous cacherai pas qu’il faut avoir un précédent avec les mangas afin de bien comprendre les expressions intenses et les mouvements rapides de nos personnages. Cependant, cela ne nous empêche en rien d’apprécier, d’aimer et de ressentir…
Une histoire FABULEUSEMENT entraînante, je ne m’y attendais pas! Il devient mon TOP 1 de bandes dessinées. Je vous confirme que je vais me procurer le prochain tome RAPIDEMENT! J’ai ADORÉ 10/10

Dieser Titel ist ein wahrer Glücksgriff für mich gewesen; denn ich hatte ihn überhaupt nicht auf dem Schirm, und wäre er nicht in der wundervollen Halloween-Box vom Verlag gewesen, hätte ich ihn wohl auch nie gelesen.
Und was bin ich froh, denn dieser Band hat mir wirklich ausgesprochen gut gefallen!!😍👌
Sooha hat besondere Kräfte und wird daher fälschlicherweise für einen Vampir gehalten und schon in ihrer Kindheit gehänselt. Dann lernt sie Christopher kennen, der ihr vorurteilsfrei begegnet und der ihr bester Freund wird. Dieser stirbt dann jedoch eines grausamen Todes, woraufhin Sooha nichts mehr hasst als Vampire.
Die eigentliche Geschichte setzt dann Jahre später ein, als Sooha Schülerin der Decelis-Akademie wird. Dort trifft sie auf 7 Mitschüler, die ihre wahre Identität verdeckt halten, auf die Sooha jedoch eine besondere Anziehungskraft ausübt; sie werden zu ihr gezogen wie die Motten zum Licht und würden alles für sie tun, was sicherlich auf irgendeine Art auf Soohas besondere Fähigkeiten zurückzuführen ist.
Sooha merkt man ihr Mobbing-Trauma und den Verlust ihres besten Freundes an und sie möchte einfach nur integriert sein, Freunde finden und wegen ihrer Fähigkeiten nicht mehr abfällig angeschaut und ausgeschlossen werden. Bei ihren neuen Mitschülern findet sie durch ihre Wirkung auf sie schnell Anschluss, jedoch gibt es unter den 7 Jungs auch einen Querschläger, der den Kontakt aber nur ablehnt, um Sooha vor ihnen zu schützen - dies funktioniert aber natürlich nur mehr schlecht als recht 🤣👌
Zu Sooha konnte ich direkt eine Verbindung aufbauen, ihre Wünsche und Ängste sind sehr nachvollziehbar und ihr Charakter spiegelt sich auch toll in den Zeichnungen wieder. Die Jungs sind alles Charaktere für sich und sehr unterschiedlich, was das ganze natürlich sehr facettenreich und auch durchaus unterhaltsam macht; es ist zu herrlich, wie sie sich überschlagen und sich stets übertrumpfen wollen um bei Sooha Eindruck zu schinden 🤭😂👌
Hinzu kommt noch die Aufklärung eines Mordfalls, der von einem Vampir verübt worden sein soll, und der Sooha in Gefahr bringen wird…
Mir hat dieser Band außerordentlich viel Spaß bereitet, es war so eine tolle Mischung aus vielseitigen Charakteren, Spannung, Mystik, aber auch Humor - hier will ich definitiv ganz bald weiterlesen!

My first ever Korean manhwa and one I’ve REALLY wanted to try ever since my friend started talking about it and that day has finally come!
And I LOVE it!!!
Is this the most revolutionary teen paranormal romance story plot wise? No (at least not yet), but it’s fun and endearing in its simplicity which really allows the characters to shine and, boy, do they shine—I love them all so much!!! (Except the werewolves—not so fond of them outside of Glasses Guy though I suspect that could change as the series goes on) Sooha is such a brave, tough girl with a soft, vulnerable side and all the vampire boys are all so amazing and different from each other, which I’m so happy about as I was worried I might not be able to tell them apart and keep them all straight but from start to finish this happily never became a problem!

He’s amazing and I love him so so much and the way his eyes express everything so clearly has me melting into a little puddle of feels, he’s just so precious! I love him and if Sooha breaks his heart I’m going to be so mad, lol!
The art is beautiful yet has the tone of deadly and dangerous when need be and I love how the colors make everything pop even when it’s dark and moody, and the action is to die for awesome! Overall the art is fantastically great, haha!
Very excited to see where things go next, especially with that ending!

Is this the most revolutionary teen paranormal romance story plot wise? No (at least not yet), but it’s fun and endearing in its simplicity which really allows the characters to shine and, boy, do they shine—I love them all so much!!! (Except the werewolves—not so fond of them outside of Glasses Guy though I suspect that could change as the series goes on) Sooha is such a brave, tough girl with a soft, vulnerable side and all the vampire boys are all so amazing and different from each other, which I’m so happy about as I was worried I might not be able to tell them apart and keep them all straight but from start to finish this happily never became a problem!

....sorry Enhypen I do really love you guys but I would argue this book was all things considered, pretty bad.
I did like the art style a lot and I found the story absolutely hilarious but I also fear it was meant to be more on the serious side and romantic. I think these two stars are for Solon, loved it whenever he was losing his mind but also he was right to do so every single time.

Good stuff!! Monster High, Twilight, and a bit of Romeo & Juliet vibes. And I love all of those so I ate this up. Also, the art was very lovely!! My only gripe is the gender dynamics of Sooha being a damsel in distress type and Heli being the super protective type. I just don’t like that sort of dynamic very much. Vampire Heeseung is still hot tho!!

Sick and twisted que me hayan hecho enamorarme de mi bias de Enhypen otra vez pero en versión vampiro manhwa. Objetivamente, es pura trama y personajes predecibles pero también se sintió como morfina para mi cerebro y necesitaba eso en este momento. Si leyeron Vampire Academy, Cazadores de sombras o The Vampire Diaries a una edad formativa, les podría gustar.

Si je peux comprendre l'engouement (l'idée, le graphisme...) j'ai un peu vieilli pour ce style. En effet, pas mal de réactions sont tellement exagérée que ça en devient de la caricature. C'est bien dommage parce que sinon je crois que j'aurai pu vraiment apprécié.
Pas curiosité j'emprunterai la suite si elle arrive, mais je ne l'achèterai pas
