Mei keeps fumbling through college in a way that one could call ‘very unlikely’ and ‘attempted hotness’, but really doesn’t achieve much of what it’s aiming for.

Well, coming on the heels of the similarly-set (yet otherwise utterly different) How Do We Relationship? in my reading pile sure doesn’t do this story any favours, but I think I could have been reading Rent-A-Girlfriend before this and I would have had a better impression of that perennial whipping manga.

This story is so underwhelming in terms of interest and craft that it’s the rare time I’ve ever been most invested, and indeed rooting for, a hideously bad power dynamic between student and teacher.

It’s literally the only part of this story that generates ANY sparks, leaving a bunch of damp sponges fighting over Mei the rest of the time. The ASMR girl in particular is such a snooze.

I will give that Karin is probably the other one that has a hope of being somewhat decent. I mean, she schemes a scheme of dramas gone by, but nobody else feels that interesting. They all have one “thing” and two out of five love interests isn’t a good ratio in your harem story.

To its credit, that means this story features the least interesting idol in history and I think the naughty professor is genuinely less predatory than the hungry roomie. It’s just not a good story.

The writing’s limp, the art’s mediocre, the premise, at least, is not terrible - there’s a series in this notion of ‘harem, but yuri’ for sure. It just congeals into an underwhelming package that’s already less than the sum of its parts.

I mean, this harem angle is mostly underserved in the yuri space, but this isn’t filling that void with any satisfaction. If you want steamy hi-jinx at college, the much better Asumi-Chan is Interested in Lesbian Brothels is there for you, same as it was last time.

2 stars - it’s going to be a real uphill climb for this one to get another volume out of me. Considering that we’re talking about my genre of choice, that’s pretty damning.

Trashy in the best way possible lol. It’s a funny college rom-com and doesn’t try to be anything else, and I’m totally fine with that.

This series knows what it is, and I'm enjoying every second! This volume slowed down just enough to allow Mei to interact more with each love interest, and allowed them to interact with each other, too!

I liked most of the love interests... though Riri feels so odd with how naive/innocent she is while she looks more adult than most of the girls, and then there is the senpai with a scent fetish which just gets a bit much given how she forces Mei, and then there is the little siscon senpai who just gets hot and bothered when spoken to in little sis talk especially when it is with Mei. Everybody their fetish, but those two were just too much.
But Karin and the professor? They are my favs. Definitely wouldn't mind seeing one of them date our Mei-chan (well, OK, the professor may be a bit iffy, but I can wait).
Plus, I do love seeing Mei getting all overwhelmed by the hot ladies who all want her. It is so cute seeing her flustered and blushing and then going full fangirl mode when something happens. And the art is so pretty!

Mei's determined to get a girlfriend and she has 5 women who all really want her and she wants all of them but she has not awoken to the idea of polyamory and she lacks in self confidence probably in particular due to being rejected harshly by her first love and childhood best friend back in high school. We get more of Mei getting bounced between the girls now that their all established and I just want to see her get with them all. I think we're also starting to see that they could be some potential dynamics between the other girls in this polycule situation which would also be ideal.

It's cute, funny, sweet and fast paced. It didn't blow my mind or anything it was just solid, I laughed out loud once, I think it's very good.

this has gone from mostly ridiculous to full-on nuttiness. every relationship is devolving into weird fetishy/obsessive behaviors, especially the roommate and the professor. I think I'm done with future volumes of this...I know we're a bit lacking in the english-published yuri manga space, but this series is just not for me!

3 stars. Just as ridiculous as volume one. I don’t absolutely love this series but it is goofy as hell and unserious and it is fun. Nothing amazing but I’m gonna read the next volume because I really want this to end up as one large sapphic poly relationship.

sapphics deserve shitty reverse harem mangas too

i probably won't read volume 3 bc this manga is getting a little too silly...every relationship is based off of a fetish and it went from goofy to full blown weirdness. i cannot get over how her PROFESSOR is one of the love interests.

It's an okay series. I was rooting for Riri-chan, but she got super weird too. I'll probably read the next volume since I already have it borrowed from the library, but that'll most likely be the extent of my foray into this series.
