Not much happens in this volume. The cliffhanger that we were left with in volume 4 is barely mentioned and is resolved with a flick of the wrist. The characters are not bad in this story but nothing really is done with them to truly develop them. I tend to enjoy slice of life and rom coms quite a bit but this series isn't doing well at either of these. There are glimses of what could be but this volume had very few of them.

I really enjoy this romance light novel. It does have some harem like vibes but nothing over the top. Something else I enjoy about thos novel and the series as a whole is that it's not filled with a heavy focus on sexual content. The story pacing was good and the book ended at a good place. If I recall the next English release is in March 2024, sadly it's a little ways away. At the end of the light novel more mysteries to Hina's past are introduced but not something that sticks out as a cliff hanger. Anyways if you enjoy a wholesome romantic comedy, this is a good series to get into. On a side note the protagonist is dense but it appears he's starting to get the bigger picture.
