I literally screamed in the flashback when Fujiyama revealed that he was moving bc why were they BOTH moving? I hate life

This last volume includes a quite long and nice flashback of Sakura and M. Fujiyama detailing their own love story and the events leading to the printing of the famous lost vinyl record. These scenes are not in the movie and are a touching bonus.

This was a lovely ending to the manga trilogy (now I can go watch the anime, haha).

It wasn't quite as melancholy as I expected, but it does just...end. So, like, what happens? Because despite Cherry I would have liked another chapter or two with better resolution. (Also, you cannot convince me that a record would still play after being hung on the wall and used as a clock face for decades, but go with god on that plot point). We also got to see a little Fujiyama-san and Sakura in a flashback which was really sweet (the transition was a little weird, so it took me a bit to figure that we'd jumped back in time, I'm not a regular manga reader so may have missed a cue).

But overall a really charming little trilogy of books.

It ended after 3 volumes. Lovely story. I wish I could read about Yui and Yuki as they grow up and hopefully grow together.

This is a sensitive and engaging profile of two teens who are both artistic and eccentric.

This work is available as a 3 volume manga (2020jpn/2023eng), a single volume light novel (2020jpn/2023eng), and a film which was first released at the 2020 Shanghai Film festival and then released to Japanese theaters and Netflix in 2021.

Reading both the light novel and the manga for the GR Japanese Light Novel book club.
