Great quick read for when birth doesn't go as planned.

Especially when you don't have the martial birth you planned, it can be hard to hear at least you have a healthy baby. This book acknowledges the real feelings we experience after a difficult birth. It provides a good foundation for beginning to process and heal.

This was a super short read and it certainly would not be a stand in for a trauma workbook or professional/medical help, but it is a gentle introduction to birth trauma. It's a great place to start. Wish I would have had this after my first 2 traumatic births, but now I have it to share with clients.

It's more like a long article than a book, but a great introduction to the idea of birth trauma with some good resources in the back. There isn't enough literature out there on this topic, and so I was glad to read this book.

The book doesn't take the place of therapy, but it's certainly a place to start!
