Now This a good biography
Firstly, it is readable. Secondly, it draws extensively from Miss Nightingale's own correspondence. Thirdly, it does NOT seek to add to the Nightingale mythos. You get to meet a person. Yes, there are limits due to the age it was written in, but these are negligible. Be warned, this is a big book, NOT a slim, introductory volume.

I have found out more about her than I knew already. I look forward to reading part 2 of this biography when I find it.
