The night of the junior ball ended with a well-earned victory, and the sun rose on a princess...under house-arrest?! It is Octavia’s turn to defend her guard, but can she prove his innocence in time? Danger is around the corner—the antiroyalists aren’t done with her yet!
This series never fails to delight, but even after reading the afterward from the author I can't see the series as a rom-com... I guess that's what they're trying to write? At best I call it a dark comedy... But really it's more of a drama romance with a very edgy twist.
I really do enjoy how natural the flow of the story and plot goes. Nothing feels forced and the author does a good job of sprinkling little tidbits that are foreshadowing for bigger things to come. I absolutely love our protagonist and her probably love interest... I sure hope he's the love interest... I like Klifford. I think that the amount of effort going into writing the emotions and the past and really building out the two main characters is really well done.
To my surprise I discovered today that book fives already out so I'm going to go read it now, cheers! Cheers!
