Prescott Woods:

In and around a certain small town in eastern Kentucky, things are definitely not what they seem. Charade is home to hippies, belly dancers, hobby chicken farmers, and other refugees from big-city life. Residents of Charade love to play and work in their mellow Appalachian village, where the Summer of Love lasts all year.

Charade natives like having a deep, dark woods next to their town, but they rarely venture into its shadowy nooks and crannies. Prescott Woods is teeming with magical beings who have the ability to disguise their appearance in order to keep mortals away. Elves, gnomes, trolls, tree spirits, and a headstrong family of Fair Folk inhabit the lush swath of mountainous land.

Prescott Manor, the family home of Calvin Prescott, serves as the bridge between the denizens of the wild, magical woods and the mortals of the Charade.

Magic and passion collide in the mountains of eastern Kentucky, where it pays to remember that a long, steamy soak in the Healing Waters and Living Earth will do more than wash your cares away.

Bubbles and Troubles by Bebe Balocca

Book one in the Prescott Woods Series

Prescott Woods is in trouble! A belly dancing lawyer, a stray cat of highly questionable origin, and a particularly malodorous gnome come to the rescue.

Carmen loves living in Charade, Kentucky. The quirky Appalachian village is everything that Chicago wasn't. Populated by modern day New Agers, Charade is like Mayberry with tie-dyed shirts, organic food, and incense thrown in for flavour.

When Calvin Prescott makes plans to sell his land to a high-end property developer, Carmen fears that the town she calls home will be changed forever. A new neighbourhood of multi-million dollar mansions would spell disaster for Charade's simple, small town charm.

Brock and his family moved to Prescott Woods over two hundred years ago. Like the other magical beings of the woods, they are immortal and imbued with special powers. Destruction of Prescott Woods would mean more than a change of pace for Brock and his kind—it would mean death. Brock can take on the appearance of anything—including animals of all sizes and shapes—in order to get closer to Carmen and save his home.

As Carmen learns more of the secrets of Prescott Woods, she finds that Brock is irresistibly strokeable, regardless of his appearance. She also uncovers danger, family drama, and the most luxuriant subterranean spa she can imagine.

I love to read and write erotic romance, fantasy, and sci-fi because of the escape factor: I want to leave the ordinary and travel somewhere exotic, unusual, and sexually-charged in a book. My characters are thrust into unpredictable situations, and they respond with humor, open-mindedness, and loads of scorching passion. I hope you enjoy escaping with me into the sultry world of erotic romance.

***THIS IS AN ADULT BOOK AND IS NOT INTENDED FOR THOSE YOUNGER THAN 18 YEARS OF AGE**

Today's review is on Bubbles and Troubles by Bebe Balocca

I have actually been reading a lot of books by Balocca, and I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every one. I also love that as each new novella comes out her ability as an erotic writer grows. Whereas the first two books did have some X rated action, Bubbles and Troubles is an explosion of sensuality waiting to happen.

Once a busy Chicago Lawyer, Carmen moves to the quite town of Charade where she practices law two days a week, works at a co-op, raises chickens, and teaches belly dancing. Though she hasn't been with a man in five years, she still knows how to pleasure herself. And it's oh so easy with the erotic dreams she's been having, even with the strange grey cat watching her from the window.

Brock is just one of the magical creatures living in the Prescott Woods that surround Carmen's little cottage, and with his magical ability to cast glamours on humans, he poses as a cat to get close to her. Once he's in the house and Carmen is in the throws of an erotic dream, he lets his glamour fade as he is lapping at her juices.

Though Brock is besotted by Carmen it's not the only reason why he wanted to get close to her. Prescott Woods is on the brink of being sold by Calvin Prescott to a development company, and Brock thinks that Carmen could be of great help to stop it from happening and decides to bring her into the woods to meet his father. But when things don't go the way Brock had wanted he changes Carmen's life forever and without her permission.

There is no denying that there are sparks of attraction, looks of wanton desire, and time shattering sex between Carmen and Brock, but is it enough to keep them together even after his betrayal? And can they stop old man Prescott from selling the property and save their home? It's just a 100 page read to find out.

I'm looking forward to the next book by Balocca.

Bubbles and Troubles

Carmen has moved to the small town of Charade, Kentucky bordering Prescott Woods. After a failed marriage and leaving a life she had built, she wanted the simple life. Now she has a place to call her own, chickens, a garden and even a dog. She also continues working in the town as a lawyer, side lines as a belly dancer and even part of a co-op. Her life was prefect, except she was lonely. Her dreams of late have been erotic and so life like. Lately there has been a grey cat showing up. Watching her in the morning after her erotic dreams. Brock, one of the fair folk who live in Prescott Woods watches Carmen. Drawn to Carmen as he is, he knows he can not be with her. But when the owner decides to sell Prescott Woods to a housing company, trouble brews and Brock decides to introduce himself.

This was a cute easy read. I loved the world Bebe created. The people and the area have the potential for some more great stories. Carmen and Brock both have issues to deal with and the way they come together in this story was sweet and HOT! Easy read with a take care of the environment and each other message! Can all the people get along and survive long enough to save the Woods? Thanks for the great read....Bebe.

Carmen Foster loves her life in sleepy town of Charade, Kentucky. She left her big city and hasn't looked back since. She's a lawyer that loves to belly dance, work on her little farm, and help out in vegetable co-op. Now there is a rumor that Calvin Prescott is planning on selling his land to big land developer. Carmen wants to save her quiet little town from being destroyed by people who know nothing about quiet lifestyle. Brock knows that he must get Carmen's help to save Prescott Woods but how to do that being of Fair Folk. Brock finds that he's attracted to Carmen yet doesn't know the first thing about relationships. Can Prescott Woods be saved? What will change Calvin Prescott's mind? Will Carmen share Brock's attraction? Your answers await you in Bubbles and Troubles.

This surprisingly quick read is well written and characters well developed too. I adore Carmen's spark of life and knowing what she wants out of life. Brock is yummy alpha male that needs to do some soul searching. Quiet backdrop of rural Kentucky is beautiful and charming because it reminds me of the rural areas here in Pennsylvania. I'm definitely looking forward to next installment in this series.

As reviewed on Read Our Lips:

Carmen left her big city life and career as lawyer for a simpler, easier life with belly dancing and chickens in the garden.
A mysterius cat following her and the threat of exploration of the Prescott Woods puts a damper on things, though.
How can they stop the owner of Prescott Manor selling to the highest bidder and what does the cat want?
Smutty fluff and fairies in a great combo.
