A concise chapbook on the origin, beliefs and possible destiny of the fastest-growing religion in the a variation of the Jedi religion in Star Wars. Why do they fear extraterrestrials? What does it have in common with esoteric Nazism? Is it a danger to the Chinese Government? Or even the entire world? Includes extensive references.
M.E. Brines spent the Cold War assembling atomic artillery shells and preparing to unleash the Apocalypse (and has a medal to prove it.) But when peace broke out, he turned his fevered, paranoid imagination to other pursuits. Designer of more than twenty sci-fi wargames and the Fantasy Nations play-by-e-mail game (all available below) he spends his spare time scribbling yet another steampunk romance occult adventure novel, which despite certain rumors absolutely DOES NOT involve time-traveling Nazi vampires! (Not this time, anyway.)
I was looking for a book that would give factual info but this author goes on a long rant about supposed accusations and doesnt seem to understand the difference between fiction (Star Wars) and non-ficticious reality (Falun Gong as a religion OR philosophy). Only plus side is that it does offer a little bit of history amongst clear conflation of myth and fact.
I've read a wide variety of articles on Falcon Gong, and none of them have the strange components written here. No one else that I can find links them to extreme groups such as the Nazis or alien abductions or apocalyptic teachings. I think this book might be communist propaganda.
