THE NEW ONE-STOP SHOP After accidentally being sent to a fantasy realm, Mitsuha has learned that she has the power to transport between the two worlds. With this ability-and a few others from a mysterious entity-she sets out to earn enough gold to retire comfortably! With the support of Count Bozes, she plans to open her own “General Store” in the royal capital, where she will sell products from the modern world. What could possibly go wrong?
If I had a nickel for every time shampoo became a money making commodity in an anime/manga I'd have 2 nickels. It's not a lot but it's weird that it's happened twice (First one was Ascendance of a Bookworm)
Tagging "cat" because the one for the Chapter 17 break is SUPER CUTE even if that's its only appearance. :D (I may be over-tagging some of these reviews...)
Second book, pretty much the same as the first, but plus two panels of ridiculously-censored* bath scenes that are so typically Japan that it's eye-rolly. I don't know if I like this one as much as the first, although it does show some rare fallibility in manga/anime protagonists (). It's fun to read, but it's hardly a masterpiece. Mostly recommended if you like the first book and/or the "light" novel.
*as in, the method of censoring, with the dispenser spigots... pfffffff
