This is the second book I’ve read by this author and I’m coming to the conclusion that I really don’t like her writing. I hated the last one and I didn’t like this one much better, although it did (eventually) get (somewhat) better.
Still, I really couldn’t like the FMC in the slightest, and the MMC wasn’t much better, and the MMC’s mother was straight trash (and I couldn’t respect the MMC for not doing something about that cow long before he did).

Not as good as Georgette Heyer.

The heroine kept making such stupid choices that I couldn't like her at all. And the hero never thought to tell her that he loved her. Sigh.
