Human Technology: A Toolkit For Authentic Living

Rate this book
Ilchi Lee, author of Healing Society, presents a toolkit for self-reliance management of the core issues of life: health, sexuality, and life purpose. Meditation, breath-work, and Oriental healing arts are offered as self-reliant health management skills. A distinctive perspective on relationships and an inspirational guide to discover a passionate life purpose are featured. This book also includes a practical guide to optimize our life's master controller?the brain. In the name of comfort and security, we have created increasingly complex systems that demand our lives for their maintenance. Systems cannot answer life's most important questions?only you can. The ultimate goal of education, institutions, and expertise should be self-education. Only then will technology serve humanity rather than reign over us. Human Technology contains the principles and tools that can return us to self-mastery and the life well lived. Human Technology is a toolkit for living an authentic life.

From a young age, I struggled to find the answers to what I think of are life's fundamental questions: Who am I? and Why am I alive? I found those answers for myself after much study and circumspection, culminating in strict fasting and meditation on top of Moak Mountain in South Korea more than 30 years ago.

What I discovered opened up a new life and a new world for me. Since then, I've sought to find ways to help others answer those questions for themselves, and live healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives as a result. All of my work is focused on developing methods for this and sharing them with as many people as possible. I believe when enough people know their true nature and purpose and are empowered to live by it, the world will become a place of dreams; heaven will be expressed on earth.

This is the purpose and content of all of my books. I hope they enrich your life by reading them.

Human Technology was a first book I read by Ilchi Lee. (10 years ago :) Even though my English was not so fluent in that time, I could feel the content of the book was resonating with my soul. It got me interested in finding out more on the topics he shares about.... different exercises, acupressure, connecting to my soul & natural healing. I remember also finding myself feeling like I was understood and questions I've had inside of me were being answered. I felt hope from reading this book, full of empowering information for a human's existence & growth. This book is a good read!

Yeah, I really like this book! I pick it up and read quite often. Sometimes I have a question about something, like catching a cold, and I look thru the book and I find the points I can press, massage, or even put on essential oils, so that I feel better. Great and very useful book!

Very good book for beginners in to the teaching of Ilchi Lee. Simple notions of describing what can be conceive of as very complex meditation concepts for beginners.

He feels we should be in charge of our own health and not rely on doctors. The book disclaims whether the techniques in it work or not, but claims to just be presenting them for whatever they are worth. (p 11). That didn't give me any confidence in the book.

Spurious at best, harmful at worst. Plenty of questionable and erroneous claims here, with self-congratulation all the while.

An online book reseller got things mixed up and instead of a book on the history of architecture, I got this. Let's read it anyway, I thought! Maybe this mix up was not so accidental, after all.

This book is a very helpful book for mindful and healthy living. It is says 'Toolkit' and it is like a how to handbook. Ilchi Lee writes and speaks often about living more naturally, using the body's innate capabilities rather than depending on someone else for our well-being. This book breaks it all down and presents in an easy-to-understand way how we can do this. This is a great book for anyone interested in a mindful, holistic lifestyle.

This is my first favorite book of Ilchi Lee's. So very informational in a simple way that I can understand and practice the healing methods on my own! And of course, anything by Ilchi Lee really works! I felt so much energy after I tried the techniques he talks about: Acupressure points, Moxibustion (I tried both direct and indirect ways).

This was the first Ilchi Lee book that I read, so it was the first introduction I had to energy principles and techniques such as moxibustion and bowing meditation. The book has an easy-going style and addresses many lifestyle issues in an empowering way.

I learned from "Human Technology" that I can heal my body by just following very simple but powerful principles. I learned that I am truly enough! I can systematically heal myself instead of depending on outside systems. I shared this book with all my friends & family, it is that valuable.

Loved it!!! It outlined in a clear and easy to follow format the body's natural healing process based on Asian Healing Philosophies of Ki(Chi) energy circulation. Because I have a huge interest in self healing I will read this book again many times.
