In my opinion this a sweet story about Leo and Ester. This is a young adult genre which is not my usual genre. I started the series and I will finish it. I like the series I find it fun. Ester comes up with a hair brained scheme to win her ex Tyler back. In the process she will put in good word to Cassie about Leo. Needless to say things go a rye and feelings are discovered. In my opinion it's a fun read, if you like sweet read, nothing to heavy. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader's copy.
A fun light read and yet full of teen angst. What changes through the generations, there will always be the popular crowd and the nerds, only social media lets the world know the issues. Leo and Ester were a cute fake couple, both trying to make others jealous. Only their life time friendship was the perfect basis for so much more. They just didn't know it yet. I love that the popular crowd weren't what they really wanted after all. It just took circumstances to see what was in front of them. This was an enjoyable story, a palate cleanser as I'm off to read a serial killer now.
Cute story. It was predictable and honestly the epilogue was not needed. But those issues aside, for me this was defintely 5 stars. I love sweet stories and Leo was just the best! I love when the main characters aren't super nerdy or super popular -- just middle of the scale popularity. It makes them so much more real sounding. And Leo was very charming in his own way and super sweet.
Enjoyable book about Ester who wants to win her boyfriend back. To do so she embarks on a fake relationship with her brother’s best friend Leo. Leo, in turn is trying to get with someone else. But what starts as fake for Ester & Leo starts to feel anything but…. What spoilt this book for me was some whopping errors over names. Firstly Ester’s friend changed from Amelie to Lucy, a pet’s name changed, even Leo was mixed with his friend. It was confusing & annoying. Such a shame.
This was cute! I really enjoy the fake dating trope and this did a good job at that. Although, I do think that there are other books that are a bit better. If you want something sweet, wholesome, and includes fake dating, I would definitely recommend this.
It really pulled me out of the story when the author would accidently call Adam Tyler, or Leo Adam. And then she completely changed the name of the family pet halfway through the story.
